“We had Rebecca looking after Molly for a weekend and was fantastic! Considering how much Molly struggles with people in general, Rebecca did so well! She managed to take her out twice a day and kept her company/ looked after her while we were away. Really pleased with her and we will definitely ask for her help again. Alice”

She spends time playing with them, keeps them happy, and she is always there for them. You can really see that Taylor is a true animal lover. When we come home, Remi and Buster are calm, relaxed, happy ,and clearly feel comfortable and loved. “Michaela was absolutely wonderful. She’s incredibly kind and warm, and our kittens took to her immediately which says everything. Her attention to detail was spot on; she followed all instructions perfectly and checked in regularly with thoughtful updates. If she was ever unsure about anything, she asked rather than guessing, which we really appreciated. We also came home to a spotless house, exactly as we left it... which, with two kittens, is no small feat. On top of all that, she’s genuinely easy to talk to and very reassuring. We wouldn’t hesitate to book her again and would recommend her without reservation.”

“Danielle was absolutely amazing looking after our Frenchie, Buster, while we had to rush our other Frenchie, Remi to the emergency hospital. It was a very stressful time for us, but knowing Buster was in such caring hands gave us real peace of mind. She was incredibly friendly, kind, and patient, making sure Buster felt calm, comfortable, and relaxed throughout her stay. It was clear she genuinely cared about him and treated him like one of her own. We couldn't have asked for a better sitter during such a difficult situation. Many thanks Danielle 🐾 🐾”

“Martin was an excellent sitter. We had complete trust that he would look after our dogs. He came to meet and greet before his overnight stay, and despite our elderly Jack Russell having medication and quirky ways we came home to a couple of chilled dogs! We had updates from Martin over the course of his stay but we were happy to enjoy a night away with no concerns. We would be very happy to book Martin again. It was the first time we have used Rover and we were extremely satisfied. Thankyou Martin!”

“Megan is lovely. Most importantly, our dogs loved her too. She did just what we had arranged, sent us photos and kept us up to date with what was going on at home, while we were away. We will be booking her again in the future. Thanks Megan, great job”

“Izzy has been great with our new puppy who absolutely loves her and gets so excited when she walks through the door. She has remembered and taken into account every little detail we have told her about our puppy and kept that in mind whilst looking after him. I know he has such a great time every time she is here.”

About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with family dogs and was lucky enough to own a lovely Spaniel myself, so I understand just how much our pets mean to us. I also have spent eight years working alongside working dogs in the Civil Service, which gave me great experience around dogs with different personalities, needs, and routines. Above all, I genuinely love animals and enjoy spending time with them. Whether your dog loves long walks, playtime, cuddles on the sofa, or simply having company throughout the day, I’ll make sure they feel happy, safe, and well cared for while you’re away. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. I work Monday to Friday and have the flexibility of working from home on certain days. However, when I agree to look after your dog, I will ensure that I am not working so that I can give them the time, attention, and care they deserve. I enjoy being active and love going on long walks, so your dog will have plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment, and outdoor adventures. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and happiness are my top priorities. I have a secure, fenced garden where dogs can safely enjoy time outdoors, and I live just a 5-minute walk from a large open playing field, perfect for walks, exercise, and playtime. I take great pride in caring not only for dogs but also in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
“Allana provides a great service, this is the second visit to our home and my boys love her. I would definitely recommend Allana and will be asking her back again in the future. Thank you for everything.”

“I cannot thank Ben enough for the incredible care he provided for our cat, dog, and home while we were away. From the very start, he went above and beyond to ensure our pets were happy and our house was in perfect order. Our daughter was especially anxious about leaving our pets, but Ben put her mind at ease by sending regular, adorable pictures and updates - it meant the world to her. He kept us informed about everything, so we never had to worry. When we returned, the house was spotless, and our pets were clearly relaxed and well-loved in our absence. Ben is truly reliable, caring, and professional - we wouldn’t hesitate to book him again. If you need a pet and house sitter who treats your home and furry family like his own, Ben is the one. Highly recommend!”
“5* isn’t enough of a rating! We absolutely loved Jill looking after our little Nala, she made us feel so reassured and we relaxed on holiday knowing she was in great hands. We got regular updates! We would use Jill again in a heartbeat. X”

“I can’t say enough great things about Tamara. From the moment we met, it was clear she genuinely loves animals. She followed all my dog’s routines, gave them so much attention, and sent regular updates that made me feel completely reassured. I returned to a clean home and very happy dogs. Tamara goes above and beyond, she’s truly exceptional! Will definitely be recommending Tamara to our friends and booking with her again! Thank you Tamara.”

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Post & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.

- Rubbish & recycling: Taking bins out on scheduled rubbish collection days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.

Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Mid Suffolk choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a key safe or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest vet. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorisation form for your regular vet. An authorisation form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
