Amira loved her time with Inga & Bonnie. Amira is always scared around new people but she’s gotten used to Inga very quickly, which is great! Inga has been very patient with Amira’s constant demands to be petted.

Indie spent two days at daycare with Lucy and Coco, and we couldn’t be happier. As a shy girl, we were so pleased to see how eager she was to go back each day, it really meant a lot to us. Thank you, Lucy, for making Indie feel so at home and for all the lovely photos you shared. We’ve definitely found our pet sitter and will absolutely be coming back! 🐾💛

About: Growing up in a house full of rescue cats and dogs ignited my passion for animal welfare, which goes above and beyond in both my professional and personal life. I understand how daunting it can be leaving your furry one in someone else’s hands and I ensure the best quality care catering to any specific needs, and guaranteed photos of your pet so rest assured you know they’re having fun. I’m able to be flexible working with your house sitting and home boarding needs. At home, I live with both a very friendly dog and loving cat, so your pet would have to be okay with this, otherwise I’m happy to house sit! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions 🤗 I'm experienced in walking dogs of all sizes, chihuahuas to great danes, and can promise walking routes and lengths dependant on your dog's requirements. I'm experienced in house sitting for both dogs and cats, and to ensure your mind is at ease, I keep in full contact with photos of your loved ones throughout time away from them.

Jane was brilliant. I made a last minute booking and Jane still made time to meet myself and my dog both. She provided regular updates and Donald looked so comfortable in every photo! So much so when I went to pick him up, he came and said hello and then jumped back on her sofa! Would definitely recommend and would 100% ask Jane for future care.

I have experience with both dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra care and patience. I cannot recommend Caroline highly enough. She was extremely accommodating and allowed us to meet her and her own dogs before confirming the booking, to ensure we felt comfortable. Caroline kept us updated daily with photos and video so we could see Eric was having a great time. This was the first time we had utilised a service like this and I would not hesitate using Caroline again.

About: I have had dogs all my life. Having grown up with a German Shepherd and a Border Collie, I have a depth of understanding that all dogs are different and have a great set up in my home to cater for everyone. I don’t just simply sit and give lots of love, I also gain an understanding as to what the dogs interests are; whether it’s extra long walks, fun enrichment games or lots of belly rubs, I am committed to making my space feel as much of a home away from home for the animals💖 I currently work a lovely hybrid job where I go into office just once a week on whatever day I chose (never a Friday for obvious reasons haha). I’m a content creator so my work flow is really easy to manage and I have plenty of time for the animals that come over. My partner is also fully remote so the pets can also pick and choose between the both of us if they please, some even snuggle between us on the sofa🥹 I always let the animals settle at their own pace. We live just beside Hartham Common and the Cromwell road allotments which has a lovely walking option beside it, so we have two amazing options there for those who love their walks! I love to offer the animals enrichment options such as snuffle mats, licking mats and Kongs. We live in a spacious flat with no balcony so the animals will be completely enclosed, safe and comfortable with a range of sleeping options to choose from such as the sofa, a lovely orthopaedic bed, a cosy crate and the most popular choice… the floor😂

It was obvious Miguel had an amazing time with Becky from the way he has been so chill coming home but also the way he was leaning against her and wanting a fuss when we were leaving! Becky was excellent at communicating on Miguel and we felt totally at ease to leave him to have a doggy daycare. Thanks so much again Becky and we will all look forward to seeing you again 🥰

About: I have grown up with and always loved animals. I regularly look after dogs of varying breeds (and personalities) for friends and family which I absolutely love. My experience varies from stubborn Huskies to yappy Jack Russel's to needy Siamese cats while also loving my own boisterous Labrador. This also varies in age, from my own 1 year old Labrador who we have had since a puppy, to more senior dogs who prefer a slower pace of life. I am understanding of the fact that different breeds and ages have different needs and requirements when it comes to daily care and I am always happy to incorporate this into their daily routine. Please feel free to message me for anymore information or any questions you may have. I currently work from home on Tuesdays and Wednesdays so will be around all day. I have a Labrador of my own, so we are in the routine of letting the dog out regularly, providing two walks a day and doing regular check ins to make sure there is plenty of water and all needs are met. Our garden is fully enclosed so the dogs are able to venture in and out as they please. My Labrador is still crated at night, however if your dog does not require crating this is fine. During the day, you dog will never be left for more than two hours. They layout of our house is slightly different, with the living area being on the first floor. This may not always be the best for more senior dogs. If there is any issues with this then please let me know.

About: Hi, I’m Georgia ☺️ I’m a self-employed Nutritionist working from home full-time, so your dog will rarely be left alone and will have lots of company, cuddles, attention, and care throughout the day. I live with my partner Ty and our lovely Springador, Rover and every other weekend my 5-year-old step-son Axel stays with us too. Our fur baby Rover is incredibly friendly, gentle-natured, and absolutely loves other dogs, so we thought it would be lovely for him to occasionally have some company and a playmate too. We’re huge animal lovers and genuinely treat dogs like part of the family. Both myself and Ty grew up with dogs and are thus very familiar with caring for them. Since becoming self-employed 3 years ago, I have become somewhat the local dog-minder, checking in on/taking care of various neighbours dogs on a regular basis, and given how much Rover loves other dogs and that I have the flexibility within my job, we’d love to open our home to your fur-babies to stay with us while you are away! We live in an area with loads of beautiful walking spots nearby and have a large family car with plenty of boot space for forest and beach trips, so your dog will enjoy plenty of walks, enrichment, and attention while staying with us. Our home has plenty of space so dogs can be kept apart if and when needed, and we have a fully fenced, secure garden for dogs to safely play and relax in. Rover is not neutered, though he shows very little interest in female dogs in that way, but if a female dog were staying with us, they would always be supervised closely and separated if ever left unattended. Our boy Rover is a truly gentle soul and mirrors the energy of the dogs he is around, so regardless of if you have an energetic young pup, or an old timer who likes to take it slow, they have a place in our home. Walk lengths and frequency can be fully tailored to your dogs needs. For everyone’s comfort and safety, we ask that the dogs staying with us ideally need to: * Be friendly with other dogs * Be comfortable in a home environment * Be okay around children * Have up to date vaccinations That said, because we only have Axel every other weekend, if your dog is unsure around children, feel free to message anyway and we may still be able to accommodate depending on timings. I know how important it is to feel confident leaving your dog with someone, so I’ll always make sure you receive regular updates, photos, and honest communication while they’re with us ☺️ We have additional private insurance for dog sitting/boarding and day care in our home. Caring for your dog is easy for us as I am self-employed and work entirely from home so I will always be with your dog and able to care for them throughout the day. We live in military issued housing and have an entirely fenced in private garden, and live amongst other military personnel, making where we live a very safe and trusted community.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - St. Edmundsbury

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in St. Edmundsbury on Rover is £26.45 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 644 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in St. Edmundsbury. About 85% of St. Edmundsbury sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your St. Edmundsbury commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
