I understand that every dog is a cherished member of the family and I treat each one with the same love, patience, kindness and unwavering devotion that I gave to my own. For 13 wonderful years, I was blessed to share my life with my beautiful Cavapoo, Colby. He was my constant companion, my best friend and I will always feel incredibly honoured that he chose me every day. The bond we shared shaped the way I care for animals and reinforced my belief that every dog deserves to feel safe, understood, loved and completely at ease. Following Colby's passing, I found myself deeply missing the daily joy of giving that love and care to a dog. It is this, more than anything, that inspired me to begin this new chapter. My aim is not simply to offer dog boarding, walking and house sitting, but to provide a home-from-home experience where every dog receives genuine affection, individual attention and the highest standard of care, as though they were my own. My experience extends well beyond everyday care. During Colby's later years, he bravely lived with heart failure, requiring an extensive and carefully managed medication regime. I administered multiple medications with precision, consistency and dedication while closely monitoring his health, comfort and changing needs. This experience has given me invaluable confidence in caring for senior dogs, administering medication and supporting dogs with ongoing medical conditions, always with patience, compassion and meticulous attention to detail. When you dog is in my care, they will be treated as my own family - with warmth, gentleness and genuine affection. About: Hello, I’m Katie, and I understand how important it is to find the right person to care for your dog, so you can have real peace of mind while you’re away. I’ve grown up with dogs and currently have two of my own, a chocolate Labrador and a Border Terrier, so I’m very used to different personalities and needs. My Border Terrier can be anxious in unfamiliar environments, which has given me a good understanding of how to support dogs who need a bit more patience and reassurance. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family, including day care and holiday stays, and I’m comfortable supporting dogs with additional needs such as medication or minor care. My days follow a calm, consistent routine that balances activity and rest. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. Dogs will have access to both the family space as well as a dedicated annex for cosy comfort, rest and quiet time, along with about 2 acres of fully secure outdoor lawn and woodland space for safe roaming, play and exploration. For everyone’s safety, I require a meet-and-greet in advance to ensure dogs are happy in the environment and get along well with my two dogs. I have a 12-year-old dog whom I adopted from Japan over eight years ago, and I’ve also spent many years looking after other people’s dogs, whether hosting them in my home, doing drop-in visits, or taking them for walks. My dog has become a bit of a bossy and stubborn old lady, but she gets along well with other dogs, especially younger ones. I work as a scientist and have a flexible hybrid schedule, which means I can work from home several days a week and adjust my hours when needed. This allows me to check in on your dog, take them for walks during the day, or provide company while you’re away. Perfect for little or large adventures. We have one other dog that has use of the garden but does not share the same living space. About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. If interested, I'm a semi-professional cyclist (and part-time marketer). I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. We are both young, mid 50's and very active with access to walks around the lovely countryside in Bocking, Braintree. Having been on Rover for nearly a year and with a bit more experience, we offer a high quality service limited to just one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. We are only looking to look after a maximum of one dog, or two dogs from the same home, at any one time, as we are looking to provide high quality and maximum attention to a small number of dogs, so we can enjoy the experience of having dogs, rather than providing care for financial reward alone.
