I have a 12-year-old dog whom I adopted from Japan over eight years ago, and I’ve also spent many years looking after other people’s dogs, whether hosting them in my home, doing drop-in visits, or taking them for walks. About: We have a large fenced garden and a cosy home and your dogs will be treated as part of our family during their stay. I understand the importance of routine, especially when dogs are in a new environment, and will ensure they are cared for exactly as you request with plenty of photo updates throughout the stay. I totally understand the desire for your dogs to feel loved and cared for when you are away - rest assured they will be doted on! We have 2 friendly female resident dogs who love having doggy mates, Bonnie (7 yr old cockapoo) and Inka (3 yr old Frenchie), so your dog will have some canine company. I'm currently on maternity leave and have plenty of time to be with your pup and give them lots of attention, cuddles and exercise. My husband works from home 100% of the time, so there will always be company for your dog. I have a secure, large fenced garden with plenty of grass and space for playing. It is clean and hazard free, and easily accessible from the kitchen.

Dottie Lou is a very timid and cautious rescue cat who will often hide from anyone she's never seen before, but it was quite the opposite with Gaby ... far from being afraid, she went straight up to her and clearly felt very comfortable with Gaby! This, of course, helped us to feel confident whilst we were away that Dottie Lou would be fine. Gaby sent us photos and brief reports and made everything feel secure. A great big "thank you" to Gaby ... for us, a highly recommended cat lover!”

I have been dog walking and sitting for people locally for around 5 years, caring for them before or after work. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. Dogs will have access to both the family space as well as a dedicated annex for cosy comfort, rest and quiet time, along with about 2 acres of fully secure outdoor lawn and woodland space for safe roaming, play and exploration. About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. If interested, I'm a semi-professional cyclist (and part-time marketer). I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. We are both young, mid 50's and very active with access to walks around the lovely countryside in Bocking, Braintree. Having been on Rover for nearly a year and with a bit more experience, we offer a high quality service limited to just one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. I grew up with multiple dogs, including large and giant breeds, so I’m confident handling everything from energetic pups to calmer, more sensitive dogs. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family—from small Maltipoos and Staffies to Spaniels and Retrievers—providing walks, daycare, and overnight stays. Open plan kitchen/living room so your fur baby (whether the purr or bark) will have more than enough room to roam around and play. I have access to a play pen too should you feel your pet would prefer this/ be more suitable. I have spare to be able to easily set up a crate if your pet needs this too. For walks while boarding, I'm very closely located to quiet public trails/ footpaths/ fields to allow for calm, regular walks - perfect for shy or slightly unpredictable doggies. For dog walking - I'm physically fit, attend the gym regularly, and have experience in walking my families giant dog (a Caucasian mountain dog - very large, very strong). Duration of walks required is open for discussion to best suit your dog :)
About: I've been taking care of my family's cats since I was about 13 years old. I then rescued a senior cat who had cancer, had him for just over a year until he ultimately passed away from his cancer. I've also been around family dogs since I was little I'm full time employed but work from home most days. Can take dogs on up to 30 minute walks 2 to 3 times a day. Can board cats throughout the week and most weekends I have a fenced in garden. No animals or children in the house. Will not let pets outside without supervision. I have dog sat and dog walked for people a few times. I have worked in childcare for 3+ years and I still am. I have availability on Mondays. About: We have a large fenced garden and a cosy home and your dogs will be treated as part of our family during their stay. I understand the importance of routine, especially when dogs are in a new environment, and will ensure they are cared for exactly as you request with plenty of photo updates throughout the stay. We have 2 friendly female resident dogs who love having doggy mates, Bonnie (7 yr old cockapoo) and Inka (3 yr old Frenchie), so your dog will have some canine company. I'm currently on maternity leave and have plenty of time to be with your pup and give them lots of attention, cuddles and exercise. My husband works from home 100% of the time, so there will always be company for your dog. I have a secure, large fenced garden with plenty of grass and space for playing. It is clean and hazard free, and easily accessible from the kitchen.
