About: I have years of experience looking after pets of friends, my own, and through word of mouth I have house sat for many others. I have looked after and helped train dogs of varying ages including those with challenging behaviour. I have developed a good understanding of canine behaviour in this time and I ensure every dog in my care receives the attention, patience, and love they deserve. This allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and ensure your dog feels comfortable, cared for while you’re away. I have a large, fenced in garden, with a forest that lies out back. Perfect for little or large adventures. We have one other dog that has use of the garden but does not share the same living space. I can keep the dogs separate if needed or if your pup likes company I’m sure they will love our little girl.

We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. I’ve also cared for dogs for friends and family, including day care and holiday stays, and I’m comfortable supporting dogs with additional needs such as medication or minor care. Dogs in my care are included alongside my own, with regular outdoor time, play and countryside walks suited to their energy levels. There’s always time to relax as well, so dogs can settle into a comfortable, low-stress environment. I adapt the day to suit each dog, whether they prefer to be active and social or enjoy a quieter pace. Care is provided exclusively in my home, creating a safe, calm and personalised “home-from-home” environment. The rest of the day is a mix of companionship, playtime, enrichment, naps and garden breaks, with the dogs always nearby while I work. Because I am home throughout the day, the dogs are never left alone and get plenty of attention, reassurance and supervision. The routine is calm and predictable, which dachshunds tend to respond to really well. Late afternoons and evenings are relaxed with a longer walk, usually at a woodlands, and garden time, followed by cosy downtime in the house. Walks are done in quiet woodland or countryside areas where the environment is calm and safe for dachshunds. I always prioritise slow paced walks suitable for little legs and make sure dogs are secure and supervised at all times. We will work up to off-lead walks, and I will keep your babies on-lead until we are both comfortable with being off-lead. Once they are off lead, they naturally move in a pack, which means that they stick together. Molly's recall is great, so if I need them back close to me, they will all come together. Having grown up with animals and spent time volunteering in a veterinary clinic when I was younger, I am also comfortable recognising when a dog may be stressed, uncomfortable or unwell. I have a good understanding of basic dog first aid and always prioritise the wellbeing, safety and happiness of every dog in my care.

About: I am new to rover but have lots of experience with dog sitting. Apart from caring for my very own Cavapoo, Teddy, I have regularly looked after my family and friends pets too. Dogs have always been a part of my life and always had one in my home so I have a lot of experience from owning my own pets. I used to have a shar-pei and a Staffordshire bull terrier. I work from home so it enables me to give your pet all the attention they need, some company with plenty of cuddles and lots of playtime! My dog would also love a friend for the day or the night too. About: Ever since I was little, I've always loved pets. I've spent many hours and days looking after our friends dogs and cats - including house sitting, walks, daycare and check-ins. I would love a dog of my own in the future once more settled, but in the meantime, I would love the opportunity to care for others dogs and cats. I'm currently off training (cycling) for a month or two, and will be coming back into training very slowly, so have a lot more free time. I'm working part-time at home most days, with the odd Wednesday working from the office in London, allowing me to move around the local area looking after your pet(s) or having your pet(s) come to stay. Relatively relaxed and free, but there may be a few days or weekends I won't be able to do. I have a very large downstairs space which is neat, tidy with very little clutter, with a great playing field (and crop fields) behind the houses where lots of dog owners walk their dogs.

About: Miniature Schnauzer dogs are part of my family and have been for over 20 years. They are my babies and are treated like the precious gifts they are. They have been brought up with children and well socialised I work from home Monday to Thursday and my dogs are walked twice a day with access to the garden all day. Fridays I’m off so they still have me at home all day and longer walks I have a fenced garden and 2 miniature Schnauzers to keep your baby company. I’m at home all week and they will have access to my garden through the day as well as 2 walks a day with my girls.

About: I have had pets my entire life and dogs since I was 14. I have just returned home from working abroad fro the past 10 years with my little whippet. She is now 11 years old and have come home to the beautiful Essex country because i miss it. I work from home and absolutely love going for long walks with her everyday. I often take other dogs when people need and dogsit regularly. Whilst I don't have a garden, I have an entire cricket pitch on my door step for regular outdoor breaks and then beyond that footpaths and fields galore. I have doggy rucksacks for the smaller and older pups but for those who enjoy the longest walkies let me know and me and my whippet will happily go out for 2-3 hours from time to time. I get up and walk for 30-60 minutes about 7 am, then throughout the day whilst i am working i take regular breaks out in the garden which backs into the horses. Then between 4:30 and 7 will go out for another walk and evening miander after pups dinner before settling down for some Tv and snuggles on the sofa and bed. I live on a large 2000 acre farm so there are abundant walkies and no other dogs to contend with which is good because I can let the pups just enjoy themselves! There are horses and cows and livestock so please let me know if your dog is reactive- I have one 11 year old Whippet who loves cuddles and play time and all the sniffs over the fields. She also loves sleeping on the bed, but will usually stay in her bed until 5am and then get in for a couple of hours before breakfast and walks. I also have a crazy 10 month old daxie who loves to play, to note he is currently not spayed so we cannot accept aggressive unneutered males however we host regulars who are unsure red and they love each other.
