Chelsea and Rico were amazing to Cotton. She was visibly so happy on her time there. Long walks definitely made her happy. She has been so calm since I picked her up. Thank you for the patience with her, she is just a puppy and Rico has been a good influence on her for sure.

About: Hi, My name is Laura. I'm an animal lover and I've always had pets ever since I was little. I've had rescued dogs, birds, turtles, hamsters, rabbits and I currently have 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, a puppy and tropical fish. I provide home visits and I will make sure your pet is my number 1 priority and will treat them like I treat my own. I'm able to feed them, brush them, play with them and send you daily pictures and updates for your peace of mind. I can also water your plants if needed. I also provide a home boarding for small animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc. Lastly, I offer dog walking in Brantree. I live near a big park (Blackwater) so it's ideal for walks or I can walk around your area too. I have worked in an animal rescue in Spain, walking, feeding dogs and cleaning their enclosures and I have also fostered cats and dogs. I've also looked after my friends' pets while they are away, so I have lots of experience. I'm a full time mum of a 7 and a nearly 2 year old who adore animals. I'm at home most of the time. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you, Laura I am a full time mum so I have plenty of time to look after your furry friend. When I do home visits I can feed other animals too and watter your plants, bring in your mail, etc. I live in a spacious 4 bedroom house with a very big fenced and secure garden. I live close to a very nice and big park so it's ideal for doggy walks.

We have used Rebeccas service twice now and she is fantastic, she took great care of both my dogs and they returned home very happy and tired after a long day of cuddles and playing. Rebecca took them for 2 long walks and sent pictures of them out enjoying the fields and woods with her dog. On both occasions I received lots of photos of my dogs so I was aware they were happy and safe. We will definitely use Rebeccas service again!

About: I have a 4.5-year-old miniature long-haired Dachshund, so I understand first-hand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and caring looking after your pet. I’ve loved dogs and cats from a young age and have always been surrounded by animals throughout my life. I’m a big animal lover and a strong advocate for animal welfare, and I treat every pet as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine as I work from home in a corporate role. This gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day, so I’m able to accommodate drop-in visits, walks, and feeding schedules with ease. I can step away from my desk as needed to make sure pets are checked on, cared for, and given attention at consistent times. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m also able to provide a reassuring level of presence and reliability, rather than being tied to fixed office hours. I’m well organised with my workload, which allows me to plan visits around my schedule and be responsive to each pet’s needs. I also offer dog boarding services in my own home at your request. I provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for pets in my home. I have a large fenced garden with plenty of space for dogs to play, run around, and enjoy outdoor time safely. At home, I have one friendly miniature long-haired Dachshund who is very sociable and loving, and can provide company for visiting pets if suitable. However, I’m also happy to keep pets separated if preferred or if they need their own space to feel comfortable. I have a crate available if requested, along with extra dog beds, toys, bowls, and treats to make sure visiting pets feel settled and cared for. My priority is always to make each pet feel safe, relaxed, and at home, while following their usual routine as closely as possible.

Ellen is flexible, reliable, helpful and just a lovely person with both people and dogs. Our dog took to her very quickly and very positively, she was happy to go to Ellen for attention and was clearly very settled and comfortable with her. We will definitely use her again to look after our dog and I highly recommend her.

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised my beloved rescue dog from a 2-month-old puppy all the way to 14 years. In her final years, she became very ill, which gave me extensive, hands-on experience in specialized senior care and administering medical treatments, including oral tablets, liquid solutions, and eye drops. Throughout my life, I have also owned and cared for many cats.Beyond my own pets, family members, friends, and neighbors have regularly trusted me to sit, feed, and look after their dogs of various breeds and sizes. I am a very active person, so I am always excited for long walks and engaging playtime. I am also happy to help with essential grooming, such as brushing and safe nail trimming. Your pet will receive the highest level of responsibility, love, and dedicated care! I am currently not working, which means I have a completely flexible schedule and can dedicate all my free time to your pet. I am available at any time by prior arrangement, allowing me to provide constant attention, timely feeding, and long walks whenever your dog needs them. Safety and trust are my absolute priorities. I have plenty of space in my home and a secure, fenced garden where your dog can play safely. Since I currently do not have any pets of my own, your furry friend will receive 100% of my love, care, and undivided attention. Having raised a rescue dog for 14 years, I know exactly how to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and safe.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. We are both young, mid 50's and very active with access to walks around the lovely countryside in Bocking, Braintree. Having been on Rover for nearly a year and with a bit more experience, we offer a high quality service limited to just one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. We are only looking to look after a maximum of one dog, or two dogs from the same home, at any one time, as we are looking to provide high quality and maximum attention to a small number of dogs, so we can enjoy the experience of having dogs, rather than providing care for financial reward alone.

About: We’re a fun, dog-obsessed couple who’ve grown up surrounded by pups of all shapes and sizes, so having dogs in our home just feels right. Our boy Bailey is our absolute world (basically our child), and we know how nerve-wracking it can be leaving your dog with someone else—that’s why we treat every dog like one of our own. The best part? We both work fully remotely, so your dog will have round-the-clock company, attention, and plenty of fuss (no lonely pups here!). Weekends are all about long countryside adventures, sniff-filled strolls, and then winding down with cuddles on the sofa. Bailey is a staffie and is the happiest boy who loves making new doggy friends—despite his breed sometimes getting a bad reputation, he has the sweetest temperament and a real love for other dogs. He’s playful, friendly, and always enjoys having company, but he’s also very tuned in to canine behaviour and knows when to give other dogs space. He respects boundaries naturally and is calm and gentle when meeting dogs with different personalities or energy levels. Whether it’s a fun play session in the garden or a more relaxed interaction, Bailey adapts really well and takes his cues from the other dog, making him a great, balanced companion. Your dog will be welcomed into our little family, spoiled with love, and have the best time while you’re away. 🐾 We offer boarding and daycare. Our availability would be Monday-Sunday AM to PM and we’re very flexible with drop off and pick up times! As a pet boarding home, we care for every dog as if they are part of our own family. Because we both work remotely and are home throughout the day, dogs receive constant supervision, companionship, and attention in a safe and calm home environment. We follow their usual routines as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, regular walks each day (and more if needed), playtime, and plenty of cuddle breaks so they feel settled and secure. We don’t leave dogs at home alone—especially as our own dog Bailey has separation anxiety, so we are very mindful of keeping him company as much as possible. Because of this, we naturally ensure that any dog in our care is never left alone and always has company, comfort, and reassurance. We also have a large, fully fenced garden where dogs can safely roam, explore, and relax freely throughout the day, as well as access to lovely local country parks for enriching walks and outdoor adventures. We tailor everything to each dog’s needs and personality so they feel completely at home, whether they’re energetic and playful or prefer a more relaxed, cosy stay.

About: Does your dog find busy environments, other dogs, or kennels overwhelming? You're in the right place. I specialise in caring for anxious, nervous, and sensitive dogs in a calm, dog-free home; just your dog, no others. There's no competition for attention, no unpredictable dog dynamics, just a quiet, relaxed space where your dog can settle at their own pace. Ex-teacher seeking a quieter pace after years in Central London. Lifelong dog owner and trusted sitter for friends’ pets, and very much the type who gravitates to the dog at any gathering. Calm, reliable, and attentive, offering walks, home visits, and sitting with plenty of care, routine, and companionship. I am actively job hunting at the moment, so cannot commit to bookings too far in the future. I’m currently very flexible after leaving my Central London teaching role and while working on my MSc. I have plenty of time for walks, visits, and sitting across weekdays and weekends, and I can easily fit around your dog’s usual routine. I grew up with dogs and have long been the trusted sitter for friends’ pets. I live with my husband in a calm, dog-friendly house with an enclosed garden on the edge of fields for safe outdoor time and long walks. We have no children or other pets, so visiting dogs receive quiet, focused attention and can relax comfortably. I follow routines closely and prioritise safety, supervision, and secure environments at all times.

About: With a lifetime of experience caring for various dog breeds (terries, shepherds, bulldogs), I bring both expertise and empathy to pet care. I’m committed to continually educating myself on dog behavior, which, combined with my natural empathy, allows me to understand and respond to each pet’s unique needs. I also offer training in basic commands like sit, recall, waiting for food, and staying call around new people. My own friendly 11months old female Frenchie loves to play, adding and extra layer of companionship for your pet while they’re with me. I work part-time remotely, allowing me to be flexible and available for dog sitting from Monday to Sunday. This setup lets me provide consistent care and attention to your pet throughout the day / week. I live in a flat with my partner and 11 months female frenchie which would love to keep your furry friend a company. If required, I could crate your dog and teach some basic commands.

About: I have had pets my entire life and dogs since I was 14. I have just returned home from working abroad fro the past 10 years with my little whippet. She is now 11 years old and have come home to the beautiful Essex country because i miss it. I work from home and absolutely love going for long walks with her everyday. I often take other dogs when people need and dogsit regularly. Whilst I don't have a garden, I have an entire cricket pitch on my door step for regular outdoor breaks and then beyond that footpaths and fields galore. I have doggy rucksacks for the smaller and older pups but for those who enjoy the longest walkies let me know and me and my whippet will happily go out for 2-3 hours from time to time. I get up and walk for 30-60 minutes about 7 am, then throughout the day whilst i am working i take regular breaks out in the garden which backs into the horses. Then between 4:30 and 7 will go out for another walk and evening miander after pups dinner before settling down for some Tv and snuggles on the sofa and bed. I live on a large 2000 acre farm so there are abundant walkies and no other dogs to contend with which is good because I can let the pups just enjoy themselves! There are horses and cows and livestock so please let me know if your dog is reactive- I have one 11 year old Whippet who loves cuddles and play time and all the sniffs over the fields. She also loves sleeping on the bed, but will usually stay in her bed until 5am and then get in for a couple of hours before breakfast and walks. I also have a crazy 10 month old daxie who loves to play, to note he is currently not spayed so we cannot accept aggressive unneutered males however we host regulars who are unsure red and they love each other.

This was the first time leaving my puppy with someone else, and away from home, for a whole day so naturally I was a bit anxious but Keziah was so warm and friendly that I immediately knew Nova was in good hands! Keziah kept me updated through the day with how things were going which I really appreciated and I'm sure that it was a really good experience for Nova too as she seemed very at ease when I collected her at the end of the day. I would definitely recommend Keziah to anyone looking for someone to help look after their pets.

FAQs for Doggy Day Care - Braintree

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Braintree on Rover is £20.7 per day (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 1,469 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Braintree. About 85% of Braintree sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Braintree commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
