About: A lifelong animal lover and advocate with hands-on experience caring for animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments - from growing up with rescue pets to professional experience as a dog walker more recently, where I handled up to 4 dogs at a time. Today, I’m a proud mum to Rico, our sweet and playful 2 yr old Husky x Mastiff, who's very friendly and always keen to make new pals - big and small! Adopting Rico has taught me even more about handling and training strong, energetic breeds with confidence, patience and a whoole lotta love 💝 As a heads up for first-time bookings, a free meet & greet would be needed ahead of any Daycare requests, while a full trial day - offered at 20% off the full price - would need to be completed ahead of any long-stay Boarding of 2+ nights. This is to ensure the wellbeing of my dog as well as your own. New Rover users also get £15 off their first booking with the below link: https://www.rover.com/sit/chels21350 I work remotely for the whole week, so I am flexible throughout the days to give pets in my care all the attention, walks, tickles and toys they might need. I know first-hand how important it is to feel at ease when leaving your fur bby in someone else’s hands, so I prioritise communication, consistency in individually tailored care and genuine affection in every visit! We live in a 3 bedroom house on a quiet dead-end close, and have a secure fenced garden that your dog would have access to whenever they'd like, whether it's a quick toilet break, a run around with my doggo, or a snooze in the sun spots. We can only take houseguests that are friendly and well-socialised with other dogs due to Rico being quite playful, and they must also be good with children, as my partner has an 8 year old daughter who stays with us 50% of the week. She is very loving and gentle with animals, and used to the company of big dogs, but its really important that any pets we take in have a good temperament and no history of aggression. I can also cater to any specific diets, schedules or administering oral medicines - for overnight stays I just ask that you provide their usual food to keep things consistent and comfortable while they're away from home, and you're welcome to bring anything that might give them xtra comfort if needs be 💝 For added peace of mind all-round, dogs need to be microchipped and come with their collar and ID tag please. If you think things could be a good fit or you have any questions, just drop me a line ☺️
“Rebecca is a pro! She was warm, caring and had an immediate connection with my two fur babies (& me). I felt at ease leaving them with her for the week I was away. She updated me daily and sent photos which was wonderful. Rebecca is not only a fantastic animal carer, but an empathetic and emotionally intelligent human, I wouldn't want to leave my fur babies with anyone else! She's an asset to Rover. Thank you and look forward to seeing you soon ? ?⬛️ ?⬛️ ?”

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised my beloved rescue dog from a 2-month-old puppy all the way to 14 years. In her final years, she became very ill, which gave me extensive, hands-on experience in specialized senior care and administering medical treatments, including oral tablets, liquid solutions, and eye drops. Throughout my life, I have also owned and cared for many cats.Beyond my own pets, family members, friends, and neighbors have regularly trusted me to sit, feed, and look after their dogs of various breeds and sizes. I am a very active person, so I am always excited for long walks and engaging playtime. I am also happy to help with essential grooming, such as brushing and safe nail trimming. Your pet will receive the highest level of responsibility, love, and dedicated care! I am currently not working, which means I have a completely flexible schedule and can dedicate all my free time to your pet. I am available at any time by prior arrangement, allowing me to provide constant attention, timely feeding, and long walks whenever your dog needs them. Safety and trust are my absolute priorities. I have plenty of space in my home and a secure, fenced garden where your dog can play safely. Since I currently do not have any pets of my own, your furry friend will receive 100% of my love, care, and undivided attention. Having raised a rescue dog for 14 years, I know exactly how to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and safe.

About: I have a 4.5-year-old miniature long-haired Dachshund, so I understand first-hand how important it is to have someone trustworthy and caring looking after your pet. I’ve loved dogs and cats from a young age and have always been surrounded by animals throughout my life. I’m a big animal lover and a strong advocate for animal welfare, and I treat every pet as if they were my own—making sure they feel safe, happy, and well cared for at all times. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily and weekly routine as I work from home in a corporate role. This gives me a lot of flexibility throughout the day, so I’m able to accommodate drop-in visits, walks, and feeding schedules with ease. I can step away from my desk as needed to make sure pets are checked on, cared for, and given attention at consistent times. Because I’m home most of the day, I’m also able to provide a reassuring level of presence and reliability, rather than being tied to fixed office hours. I’m well organised with my workload, which allows me to plan visits around my schedule and be responsive to each pet’s needs. I also offer dog boarding services in my own home at your request. I provide a safe, comfortable, and caring environment for pets in my home. I have a large fenced garden with plenty of space for dogs to play, run around, and enjoy outdoor time safely. At home, I have one friendly miniature long-haired Dachshund who is very sociable and loving, and can provide company for visiting pets if suitable. However, I’m also happy to keep pets separated if preferred or if they need their own space to feel comfortable. I have a crate available if requested, along with extra dog beds, toys, bowls, and treats to make sure visiting pets feel settled and cared for. My priority is always to make each pet feel safe, relaxed, and at home, while following their usual routine as closely as possible.
About: With my experience and dedication, I am able to provide the very best care for your furry friend. I have experience with all breed's, big and small and have made it my mission to learn and study as much about dog's and their behaviour as possible, continuing with this every day! I have experience within dog day care and professional dog walking, and kennel environments. I have robust experience with reactive large breeds. I am currently studying towards qualifications in Canine Behaviour Training, which is a keen interest of mine. I am fully insured and DBS checked and have completed a canine first aid course. There is nothing I love more than seeing a happy, fulfilled dog and I throughly enjoy the adventure whilst walking alongside them. I am fully-flexible currently, with plenty of time to dedicate to looking after your furry friends. I am available for check-in's and walks differing in lengths. I will always put your pets needs at the forefront of my actions. If I am entering your home, you can be sound in the knowledge that I will treat it with respect and make sure that your dog has everything it needs to be comfortable and happy. When out walking, I will ensure that I create a strong bond between myself and your dog in order to ensure their safety at all times, I will ultimately treat your dog as my own and give the very best care possible.
About: I grew up with dogs, and have a sweet, energetic and friendly dog, called Boo-Boo. We regularly have play dates and every day we have long off lead walks on the fields or in the forest. We also have three big parks just a few minutes away, so we go out to play with other doggies and chase balls. I offer 2 long walks a day (45 minutes +), plus tonnes of playtime at home, so perfect for energetic doggies. If your pooch however needs less exercise, no problem, we'd be happy to adjust to needs, just let me know. I work from home Monday to Friday. Our walks: Mornings: we go for a walk for about 60 minutes before work. Off lead on the fields and forest to burn off energy. Lunch time: 20 minutes run and play in the park. (Weather and work dependent) Evening: another longer, about 60 minutes or longer walk or play in the park. During winter months when it gets dark fast, we go on a road walk on lead. If your dog need less exercise, we can skip one or two of the walks. I’m flexible. During the day, while I’m working, your dog can chill in the daybed next to me, or play with my dog. In the evening after walk and dinner we chill together in the living room. Having a young dog myself, I know how precious they are, and well aware not to leave anything harmful within reach. Safety is #1. Your dog will feel home away from home. I’ve looked after a few guest doggies already, and they all were very happy and loved being with us. They all became returning customers. I also send you daily updates, pictures and videos for your piece of mind.
About: We have helped care for a variety of dogs through Rover and privately and would love to be a 'holiday home' for your dog too. As licenced home from home boarding we offer a safe, calm and nurturing environment for every dog in our care. Alongside our rescue dog, we welcome up to 3 dogs for boarding or daycare, ensuring small, harmonious groups where each dog receives individual attention and well supervised care. Our approach is rooted in welfare, emotional safety and routine. With a background in mental health nursing and counselling, and studying my Level 3 Ofqaul canine health, welfare and behaviour course, we bring highly attuned understanding of canine behaviour, making our home/retreat especially suited to seniors, anxious dogd and 1st time boarders Before Rover and my private business I have also regularly helped pet/house sit dogs/cats for family/friends. Owners receive regular updates and photos, giving you complete piece of mind while your dog enjoys a relaxed, happy-centred stay. Our commitment to high standards, transparency and compassionate care has quickly made our business a trusted choice for dog owners across Essex 'Home from home' experience guaranteed! LICENCE NUMBER AAL/155 Our home consists of myself and my partner, Nick as well as our lovely rescue dog, Ada. I work from home 3 days but there is always someone at home. Nick takes Ada for an early morning walk before he goes to work and your dog can come to. Then we have evening walkies each eve over the fields opposite our house. Lunch time walkies may also be added. Quiet times are encouraged to ensure dogs get enough sleep. Weekends we like to visit dog friendly venues or sometimes book an enclosed field/wood for safe off lead fun. Ada is a sensitive soul but we call her the 'supervisor' as she generally hangs out and watches over what guest dogs are up to. She can sometimes be playful but she being quite low energy she is also happy to lay about (and snooze). I have a 'higher standards' council licence rating (you won't find many on Rover who can say that!). My rates may seem slightly more than others on Rover but this is because I need to consider tax, insurance, licence fees and paying for things like vet approved disinfectant to keep your dog safe as well as my ongoing training. I am fully insured for boarding, sitting, transportation as well as basic grooming. I collaborate with Betty and berties groomers and can transport your dog here for a groom whilst you have your holiday I have a certificate in dog first aid, safety and basic grooming. I regular update my canine CPD. I am aiming to complete my canine health/behaviour course by the end of the year but have good knowledge of dogs especially owning a rescue. I would always keep a close eye on your animal whilst they are in my care. Being a nurse & counsellor, I am very observant and vigilant to your dogs emotions and of course am trusting. I provide a 'care plan' for every dog monitoring their diet/fluid intake, toileting, behaviours, enrichment. I am able to give tablets or creams meds as needed. I have vast human dementia experience so feel I could manage confused pooches too. I'll carefully follow any instructions you leave me re diet etc. Ada is better chicken free so I understand the importance of allergies. An enhanced DBS certificate is available on request. If I needed to leave your dog at home (quite rare), I use a camera in the kitchen to keep monitoring for any significant agitation and leave the radio on the drown out some outside sounds. I tend to leave radio 2 overnight downstairs to help dogs settle to. I am happy to keep up with any training your dog needs especially if they are young.
“Had a lovely experience with Bethany! Had weekend drop in sessions to look after my elderly cat, kept my updated each visit on how she was and attached photos. Very good attention to detail. Will definitely use again if in need of a cat minder! Thank you! :)”

About: I’ve grown up around animals and have many years experience caring for them. Pet care fits perfectly into my daily and weekly routine as I work from home which allows me to give your pet lots of attention, cuddles, playtime, and long walks. I have had lots of experience caring for animals. Myself and my partner recently spent over a month at a dog & cat sanctuary in Malaysia whilst travelling where we learnt how to provide extensive care to rescued, abused, and disabled dogs/cats. We were trained in basic care/training, hydrotherapy, administering medicines including injections and also how to understand animal behaviours and care for anxious/scared animals. We enjoyed every moment of our time spent with the most precious dogs and come away having learnt so much and having even more love for dogs then we even thought was possible! I love all dogs, any size. We have a beautiful, loving Doberman named Zeus, who loves long walks, lots of cuddles and also meeting new friends whether it’s to stay, play or relax together. I am happy to offer a meet and greet session to ensure compatibility and that your dog is comfortable and happy around me. I will also provide regular updates with photos and videos of your dog/s having lots of fun. I look forward to meeting your furry friend! I work from home full time meaning I can work from anywhere and have plenty of time for walks, cuddles and playtime. I have a quiet home that has a large fully enclosed garden for the dogs to run around and are surrounded by bridle paths for enjoyable walks for your dogs. We have a long fully fenced garden for your pet to play in and they will never be left alone. I will also give you regular updates of the fun they are having whilst at our home. I am able to give them long regular walks and ensure they are happy, safe and comfortable.
About: I grew up surrounded by animals including guinea pigs, budgies, dogs and even a hamster! One year ago I adopted my rescue dog from Romania, Lillah. When we first adopted her she was incredibly nervous on walks. Overtime, through kindness, patience and dedication, I slowly built her confidence with walks and socialisation- now she can't wait to get her lead on! Training ✅ Enhanced DBS ✅ Dog First Aid for: choking and bleeds I currently work part time teaching drama classes to children once a week (Fridays). I have a very flexible schedule weekdays and weekends. I am especially free during school holiday periods. For pets in my home I ensure my home is neat, tidy and any objects or toxic hazards are stored away and out of reach. At pet owners homes i will discuss with the owner what health and safety precautions they have in place.
“Utterly fantastic from beginning to end. I can’t recommend Paula highly enough. Paula kept us updated throughout our holiday with lovely pictures. This was such a comfort as it was the first time we had left our kittens. We will certainly be using Paula again. Stop scrolling and book her now!”

Rebecca was an amazing cat sitter for Mango! She was very reliable and caring, and her communication was excellent throughout. The meet-and-greet went really well, and she kept me updated with cute photos of Mango, which I loved. I felt completely at ease knowing Mango was in such good hands. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
