I have been dog walking for over 35 years now and pet sitting in the pets home or mine for 30 years now. we currently have a friendly Labrador who loves meeting people and having other dogs to play with. I have a current 5* dog boarding licence from Braintree council, am pet first aid trained and have my own insurance for pets that I board, walk, visit and have at mine for day care. I also hold a DBS and a health, safety and hygiene certificate. 🐾 Qualifications & Training I am fully trained and continuously developing my knowledge to ensure the highest standard of care for every pet I look after. Heather looked after my two beautiful British shorthairs while I was away for a few days. She kept me updated on each visit and sent through loads of lovely photos of my pets being taken care of. She even brought my bins in for me! I wouldn’t hesitate to rebook Heather next time i am away. Thank you thank you thank you!

Great service, daily updates on my cats with lots of pictures. Exactly what I needed. Even was able to accommodate 4 cats together and with different eating habits and food.

Our Rocco each time settled into heathers family no problem. The daily updates is a great ease for us. He has blended with the other dogs so well too. He literally has a little vacay of his own. Heather is great with him so much so he is going back for a 3rd time. 🤗

My only job is dog walking, pet sitting (for dogs, puppy, cats and other pets) so have plenty of time to look after any animal that I have the pleasure to have come in my care and will make any pet in my care, my number one priority. I feel I’m very lucky to have a job that I love and am very passionate about and look forward to getting to know pets that I look after and making them feel happy and contented whether it’s in their home or as part of our family in my home.

Pets

A typical day

When dogs come to stay for day care and board, then I would be more than happy to stimulate your dog(s) physically and mentally depending on your dog(s) needs and age. We have lots of lovely walks with rivers, woods, a lake and plenty of countryside fields and playing fields that we like to explore.

I always like to be given as much information as possible about your dog(s)/pet(s) such as routine, diet, health, special needs, behaviours, likes and dislikes and anything else you think may be of importance to help them settle and feel happy. I always do a meet and greet to make sure we are a right match and if your dog(s)/pets are having their holiday in our family home then they will get along with my Labrador Olly(thankfully we haven’t met a dog Olly hasn’t wanted to be friends with) Most importantly a booking needs to be made as soon as possible after a meet and greet has happened(within 24hours) if this is not the case I can not guaranteed the dates or times of that booking after that deadline as those dates and times maybe unavailable and/or offer to another pet. The booking will then need to be accepted by myself. The same rule is for returning pet(s) I will hold the date(s) & time(s) that returning pet owners are asking for but can not guarantee their date(s) and time(s) until a booking is made especially if several weeks go by without a booking request. If you need any more information or have any questions please message me and I will do my best to provide all the details and answers any questions you may have. Look forward to hearing from you and meeting your precious pet(s). Many thanks kind regards Heather P.s all my meet and greets and drop offs and collections are covid safe so masks, socially distancing and meeting ups are outdoors and dogs that come for daycare and boarding will need to come with just enough food for their stay(please note I do not accept dogs on raw food)and an up to date vaccination card. I have plenty of bowls, beds and toys here for pets coming to stay. All dog(s) need to be up to date with worm and flea treatment prior to staying. I recommend dogs coming to stay with me to have the yearly kennel cough vaccine but this is not required as part of my boarding license. 🐾 Why We Do a Trial Night 🐾 (And why your pup will thank you for it!) If your dog is staying with us for more than 2 nights, we ask that they come for a trial night first, like a little sleepover before their big holiday! Here’s why it’s so helpful: 🐶 It gives your dog a chance to sniff out the place! They meet us, Olly and get used to our home, sounds, smells and routine. 🛏️ We see how they settle at night Are they comfy sleeping away from home? Do they rest well? Any signs of worry? 🐾 We check how they get on with other dogs Friendly playmates? Shy but sweet? A bit unsure? We can see what works best. 🚽 Toileting, feeding, routines, all checked Every dog is different, and this helps us understand their needs. 💛 Most importantly, your dog learns that you always come back. That little bit of reassurance makes a big difference before a longer stay! It’s all about making sure your pup feels happy, safe, and relaxed, so their time with us feels like a home-from-home.
Each sitter joining Rover needs to pass a background check. And by booking on Rover, you can get photo & message updates, 24/7 support, and reimbursement for eligible vet care.
