Oh what can I say about our dog sitter.... Heather has been really fantastic with all the updates she sent daily along with photos, our dogs came home really happy which was completely different from when they stayed at the kennels. I would say Heather is highly recommended, my husband and I will use her again in the near future. Thank you for caring on Ruby and Daisy 🐾🐾

I was so lucky to come across Anne & Chris to look after Charlie for 7 nights. They were brilliant and looked after Charlie as their own! They both had the knowledge and skills to look after other people's dogs at their home. Made my break more comfortable with the knowledge that Charlie was in good hands There was no stress. They sent me pictures of Charlie regularly Would use them again and would recommend them to other dog owners Thank you Anne & Chris

Jane had Ollie for the weekend for me and he was treated as one of the family, went on some great walks, had a lovely time and would have happily stayed with her forever I'm sure! He will definitely be back to stay again in the future. My first Rover experience and Ollie hasn't stayed away from me much at all in the last few years so I was a little nervous, but as soon as I met her I felt that Ollie was in capable and caring hands with Jane. Communication was great and it was really nice to receive photos of Ollie's adcentures. Thank you so much Jane 💓

About: I have a big love for animals and have spare time so want to help others and look after their loved animals and care for them. I look after my friends and families cats and dogs on a regular basis so have experience with different breeds and want to help others have the opportunity to go away on holiday or going to work and relax knowing their baby is getting a home from home experience in a relaxed environment. I work from home most days and if I need to go into the office I have a flexible timetable so would be out the house for no more than 4 hours but also happy to accommodate to your timings of each pet. I am also happy to take them out to places with me if this is something your pet is familiar with. I live in a house with a private fenced/brick wall garden. I have a park next to my house and multiple walks around my area with a mixture of fields, grass and pavement environments. I also have a car so am happy to take out with owners permission I also send photos and updates to the owners to let them know there babies are in safe hands

We arranged a meet-and-greet beforehand and immediately felt comfortable leaving Sonny with Emily and her partner. When we returned to pick him up, he was happy, relaxed, and clearly well cared for. Sonny enjoyed some long walks, and it was reassuring to hear how attentive and caring Emily and her partner were, especially during the night when he was a little unsettled and whining. They made him feel safe and comfortable throughout his stay. We would be more than happy to leave Sonny with Emily again in the future and highly recommend her to other pet owners.

About: Animals have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember. I raised my beloved rescue dog from a 2-month-old puppy all the way to 14 years. In her final years, she became very ill, which gave me extensive, hands-on experience in specialized senior care and administering medical treatments, including oral tablets, liquid solutions, and eye drops. Throughout my life, I have also owned and cared for many cats.Beyond my own pets, family members, friends, and neighbors have regularly trusted me to sit, feed, and look after their dogs of various breeds and sizes. I am a very active person, so I am always excited for long walks and engaging playtime. I am also happy to help with essential grooming, such as brushing and safe nail trimming. Your pet will receive the highest level of responsibility, love, and dedicated care! I am currently not working, which means I have a completely flexible schedule and can dedicate all my free time to your pet. I am available at any time by prior arrangement, allowing me to provide constant attention, timely feeding, and long walks whenever your dog needs them. Safety and trust are my absolute priorities. I have plenty of space in my home and a secure, fenced garden where your dog can play safely. Since I currently do not have any pets of my own, your furry friend will receive 100% of my love, care, and undivided attention. Having raised a rescue dog for 14 years, I know exactly how to keep your pet happy, comfortable, and safe.

About: I've been around dogs since I was a child. We've always had family dogs that I've looked after when family have been away. I've also dog sat a whole range of breeds for friends. I work full-time Monday to Friday. I also work some weekends which means I then get days in lieu in the week to look after furry friends. Evenings are relatively free most days. My flat is surrounded by so much green space and it's a really quiet area. I have a spacious living room and bedroom with plenty of room for dogs to feel comfortable and have space.

About: I grew up surrounded by animals including guinea pigs, budgies, dogs and even a hamster! One year ago I adopted my rescue dog from Romania, Lillah. When we first adopted her she was incredibly nervous on walks. Overtime, through kindness, patience and dedication, I slowly built her confidence with walks and socialisation- now she can't wait to get her lead on! Training ✅ Enhanced DBS ✅ Dog First Aid for: choking and bleeds I currently work part time teaching drama classes to children once a week (Fridays). I have a very flexible schedule weekdays and weekends. I am especially free during school holiday periods. For pets in my home I ensure my home is neat, tidy and any objects or toxic hazards are stored away and out of reach. At pet owners homes i will discuss with the owner what health and safety precautions they have in place.

About: A lifelong animal lover and advocate with hands-on experience caring for animals of all shapes, sizes and temperaments - from growing up with rescue pets to professional experience as a dog walker more recently, where I handled up to 4 dogs at a time. Today, I’m a proud mum to Rico, our sweet and playful 2 yr old Husky x Mastiff, who's very friendly and always keen to make new pals - big and small! Adopting Rico has taught me even more about handling and training strong, energetic breeds with confidence, patience and a whoole lotta love 💝 As a heads up for first-time bookings, a free meet & greet would be needed ahead of any Daycare requests, while a full trial day - offered at 20% off the full price - would need to be completed ahead of any long-stay Boarding of 2+ nights. This is to ensure the wellbeing of my dog as well as your own. New Rover users also get £15 off their first booking with the below link: https://www.rover.com/sit/chels21350 I work remotely for the whole week, so I am flexible throughout the days to give pets in my care all the attention, walks, tickles and toys they might need. I know first-hand how important it is to feel at ease when leaving your fur bby in someone else’s hands, so I prioritise communication, consistency in individually tailored care and genuine affection in every visit! We live in a 3 bedroom house on a quiet dead-end close, and have a secure fenced garden that your dog would have access to whenever they'd like, whether it's a quick toilet break, a run around with my doggo, or a snooze in the sun spots. We can only take houseguests that are friendly and well-socialised with other dogs due to Rico being quite playful, and they must also be good with children, as my partner has an 8 year old daughter who stays with us 50% of the week. She is very loving and gentle with animals, and used to the company of big dogs, but its really important that any pets we take in have a good temperament and no history of aggression. I can also cater to any specific diets, schedules or administering oral medicines - for overnight stays I just ask that you provide their usual food to keep things consistent and comfortable while they're away from home, and you're welcome to bring anything that might give them xtra comfort if needs be 💝 For added peace of mind all-round, dogs need to be microchipped and come with their collar and ID tag please. If you think things could be a good fit or you have any questions, just drop me a line ☺️

About: Does your dog find busy environments, other dogs, or kennels overwhelming? You're in the right place. I specialise in caring for anxious, nervous, and sensitive dogs in a calm, dog-free home; just your dog, no others. There's no competition for attention, no unpredictable dog dynamics, just a quiet, relaxed space where your dog can settle at their own pace. Ex-teacher seeking a quieter pace after years in Central London. Lifelong dog owner and trusted sitter for friends’ pets, and very much the type who gravitates to the dog at any gathering. Calm, reliable, and attentive, offering walks, home visits, and sitting with plenty of care, routine, and companionship. I am actively job hunting at the moment, so cannot commit to bookings too far in the future. I’m currently very flexible after leaving my Central London teaching role and while working on my MSc. I have plenty of time for walks, visits, and sitting across weekdays and weekends, and I can easily fit around your dog’s usual routine. I grew up with dogs and have long been the trusted sitter for friends’ pets. I live with my husband in a calm, dog-friendly house with an enclosed garden on the edge of fields for safe outdoor time and long walks. We have no children or other pets, so visiting dogs receive quiet, focused attention and can relax comfortably. I follow routines closely and prioritise safety, supervision, and secure environments at all times.

About: My husband I have always loved dogs and had them in our lives since childhood. We are early retirees and able to offer outstanding care for your beloved pet/s. Our own beloved family member, Alfie, a Cocker Spaniel died in 2018 and we have since then lavished all our love on our granddog Duke, a Golden retriever, who lives in LA, whom we have helped raise since he was a puppy. We are early retirees and when not travelling, are able to offer 5 star care for your dog/s in our home, which is a good size, clean and very safe. We are both young, mid 50's and very active with access to walks around the lovely countryside in Bocking, Braintree. Having been on Rover for nearly a year and with a bit more experience, we offer a high quality service limited to just one dog at a time, or two dogs from the same family. We will not mix your dogs with any other dog, at any time during the stay. We wish to provide the best care possible and for us, we realise it's best if we concentrate on a single dog, or a pair of dogs, from the same family to maximise, safety, care and attention on your beloved pet/s. We are recently retired and therefore able to prove maximum time and attention to any Dog that stays in our home with us. We are also able to visit your home for walks or drop-ins. We have a fenced in garden, which is dog friendly and safe. We have a spacious home, very safe and clean and a perfect loving environment for your pet. We live very close to the Fennes, giving us the best walks in Essex, perfect for us to exercise ourselves and your pet. We are both mature and responsible adults with lots of time on our hands. We are only looking to look after a maximum of one dog, or two dogs from the same home, at any one time, as we are looking to provide high quality and maximum attention to a small number of dogs, so we can enjoy the experience of having dogs, rather than providing care for financial reward alone.

About: I'm an experienced dog owner and now really enjoy looking after dogs which I've been doing for friends and family for many years and now looking to do it more regularly. I work from home so dogs will rarely be left on their own for longer than an hour at a time. I work for myself at home so I can be very flexible to your dog's needs and will be happy to stick to your dog's routines. I have a large fenced garden laid mostly to lawn and access to lovely off road dog walks close by for as many walks as needed.

We have used Rebeccas service twice now and she is fantastic, she took great care of both my dogs and they returned home very happy and tired after a long day of cuddles and playing. Rebecca took them for 2 long walks and sent pictures of them out enjoying the fields and woods with her dog. On both occasions I received lots of photos of my dogs so I was aware they were happy and safe. We will definitely use Rebeccas service again!

About: I am new to rover but have lots of experience with dog sitting. Apart from caring for my very own Cavapoo, Teddy, I have regularly looked after my family and friends pets too. Dogs have always been a part of my life and always had one in my home so I have a lot of experience from owning my own pets. I used to have a shar-pei and a Staffordshire bull terrier. I work from home so it enables me to give your pet all the attention they need, some company with plenty of cuddles and lots of playtime! My dog would also love a friend for the day or the night too. I love all type of breeds, big and small. To make sure your furry pet is comfortable, I am happy to meet them before hand and will ensure you are kept regularly updated with photos too. Any questions feel free to message! I currently work from home and can offer regular toilet breaks with a big enough garden available and huge greenery / fields near by so your furry pet will get enough exercise too. I have a fenced garden which is safely secured. If you prefer to keep your pet crated, I do have one available. In addition, I have a 16 month Cavapoo of my own who will ensure to keep your pet company. My pet is allowed in every room of my house, no rooms are restricted so will ensure your pet feels safe and comfortable.

Chelsea and Rico were amazing to Cotton. She was visibly so happy on her time there. Long walks definitely made her happy. She has been so calm since I picked her up. Thank you for the patience with her, she is just a puppy and Rico has been a good influence on her for sure.

About: Hi, My name is Laura. I'm an animal lover and I've always had pets ever since I was little. I've had rescued dogs, birds, turtles, hamsters, rabbits and I currently have 2 cats, 2 guinea pigs, a puppy and tropical fish. I provide home visits and I will make sure your pet is my number 1 priority and will treat them like I treat my own. I'm able to feed them, brush them, play with them and send you daily pictures and updates for your peace of mind. I can also water your plants if needed. I also provide a home boarding for small animals such as guinea pigs, rabbits, hamsters, etc. Lastly, I offer dog walking in Brantree. I live near a big park (Blackwater) so it's ideal for walks or I can walk around your area too. I have worked in an animal rescue in Spain, walking, feeding dogs and cleaning their enclosures and I have also fostered cats and dogs. I've also looked after my friends' pets while they are away, so I have lots of experience. I'm a full time mum of a 7 and a nearly 2 year old who adore animals. I'm at home most of the time. Please let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you, Laura I am a full time mum so I have plenty of time to look after your furry friend. When I do home visits I can feed other animals too and watter your plants, bring in your mail, etc. I live in a spacious 4 bedroom house with a very big fenced and secure garden. I live close to a very nice and big park so it's ideal for doggy walks.

I have developed a good understanding of canine behaviour in this time and I ensure every dog in my care receives the attention, patience, and love they deserve. I love all animals whether they are furry, feathered, or scaly, and I understand they all come with their own unique personalities and needs. I will ensure your pet feels safe and loved in my care. *I am also DBS cleared and have my Canine First Aid certificate, for extra peace of mind.* I work just three days a week for a couple of hours cleaning, which means your dog will never be left alone for long periods. Outside of that, pet care is my main focus, so I’m able to provide plenty of time, attention, and companionship throughout the day. This allows me to maintain a flexible schedule and ensure your dog feels comfortable, cared for while you’re away. I have a large, fenced in garden, with a forest that lies out back. About: Hi, I’m Danielle! I had my gorgeous French Bulldog for 9.5 years, so I have lots of first-hand experience with the extra care and attention brachycephalic breeds can need. I’ve also previously pet-sat alongside my flatmate, caring for dogs with different personalities and routines. I work part-time from home and live with my mum and brother, so I’m home most of the time and can offer plenty of company, cuddles and supervision. I know every dog has their own little routine, personality and quirks — and I’ll genuinely listen to you about yours! No instruction is too weird or overly specific. If your dog likes something done a particular way, that’s how I’ll do it. 🤍 I’m particularly confident with Frenchies and other brachy breeds, including being mindful of breathing, temperature, exercise, feeding and knowing when something doesn’t seem quite right. I also know how nerve-racking it can be leaving your dog with somebody else, so you can expect regular communication, photos and little check-ins while they’re with me. 🐶📸 I work part-time from home and, due to living with an autoimmune illness, I naturally spend a lot of my time at home, so your dog will have plenty of company and rarely be left alone. 🤍 On weekdays I enjoy two gentle local walks each day, with lots of time at home for garden breaks, cuddles, play and relaxing together. At weekends, my mum, brother and I often enjoy little trips to a garden centre, coffee shop, park or occasionally the beach, and I’d be very happy for your dog to join us if that’s something they enjoy too! Everything will always be adapted to your dog’s usual routine, age and needs — particularly with brachycephalic breeds. Walks and outings will be adjusted or avoided during hot weather, and I’m very mindful of temperature and breathing. My home is very dog-friendly, with a completely secure fenced garden, gates on doors/stairs where needed, and plenty of cosy places to relax. I also have steps for getting on and off the sofa and a dog buggy available for dogs with IVDD, back problems or limited mobility. My main approach is to make their stay feel as much like home as possible. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine, feeding times, sleeping arrangements, medication and house rules — even the little quirks that might sound silly to anyone else! If they’re crate-trained, I’m happy to use their crate, and if they’re used to sleeping in bed with someone, they’re welcome to do that too. 🤍 Safety is really important to me. Dogs will always be kept on lead outside of secure areas, I’m cautious around unfamiliar dogs, and I’m particularly attentive to any existing health conditions or changes in behaviour, breathing, eating or general wellbeing. If anything concerns me, however small, I’ll contact you straight away rather than assuming it’s nothing. I’ll also keep you updated as much or as little as you’d like, with regular photos, messages and check-ins so you can relax knowing your dog is safe, settled and being very well looked after. 🐾

I have been using Bex for the last 3 weeks and I’m really impressed with her. After our first meet in a local park my dogs were so excited each time she came round to take them out for a long walk or feed them. She sends video and picture updates throughout the day and my dogs are always knackered when I get home. This is the first time I have left the dogs for the day since getting them and she put my mind at rest straightaway. She goes over and above, cleaning up accidents and even hosing down the patio and my dogs after they had an upset tummy. She has been an absolute star and I will continue to use her services for as long as she’ll have us :)

About: I have grown up surrounded by different animals from all sizes including horses, dogs, cats, donkeys to the smaller likes of hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets. I currently have a large greyhound called Velma who is more than happy sleeping the day away with the occasional cuddle. I understand not all dogs have the same needs and am adaptive in my approach. I currently work a shift pattern, meaning I am often available during the week and at odd times to help with your pet needs. I do not work overnight and so will be available for house sitting. For house sitting services, I will ensure I ask the correct questions from the home owners to be able to care for their pet to the best of my ability. I have great listening and observation skills to safely care for your additional family member!

About: Particularly experienced with (and obsessed with!) dachshunds, having had them in my family for years. Have worked with puppies as part of a well regarded ‘puppy yoga’ company which supported careful socialisation of the animals. Comfortable with larger breeds too, having walked huskies and golden retrievers for friends and family. As we don’t have children, we are flexible and love spending time around dogs, having both had them in our family. My partner and I both work from home for half of the week each so have good availability in our schedules. On weekends, we like exploring the Essex countryside. We have a spacious but enclosed garden and there are plenty of walks we can take dogs on straight from our front door. We have a hard-floored kitchen diner with a sofa, which leads to the garden - perfect for pets.

No dogs are allowed upstairs but otherwise have the downstairs space and plenty if room to be together or further apart if thats what they choose.

About: Hi! I’m a reliable, caring dog lover who works from home part time and spends the rest of the week as a stay at home mum, so your dog will have plenty of company, attention, and care throughout the day. My toddler is with me most weekdays (he attends nursery two days a week, increasing to three days from September), so I’m looking after dogs that are friendly and comfortable around young children. He has been brought up around dogs and is always supervised, ensuring everyone stays happy and safe. We have a lovely open plan downstairs where dogs can relax and feel at home, along with a secure, good sized garden for outdoor play and toilet breaks. We’re also lucky to have beautiful local walks nearby, as well as secure dog fields just down the road that I can book, giving dogs a safe space to run, play, and burn off energy. Every dog is different, so I’ll always follow their usual routine and give them the care they need, whether that’s long walks, playtime, cuddles, or simply a quiet place to relax. I’ll treat your dog like one of the family and keep you updated with regular photos and messages, so you can enjoy your time away knowing they’re in safe and loving hands. I’m a stay at home mum to my toddler and work part time from my beauty room in the garden, so I’m home for most of the day and have plenty of time to give your dog attention and company. I occasionally do freelance work, but this is only on odd dates and isn’t regular, so I can usually be very flexible with bookings. I’m available for plenty of daytime care and can work around your dog’s usual routine as much as possible. I have a secure, fenced off garden and an open plan downstairs space where your dog can feel comfortable and at home. I have a lovely, friendly dog who enjoys having a playmate but is also very happy to relax and snooze in the sunshine. We have some lovely walks close by, so there are plenty of opportunities for walks, playtime and exploring. I’m happy to follow your dog’s usual routine and give them lots of love and attention while they’re with me.

About: I love pets and everything about them. I have a little Pomeranian myself which has made me realise that the best thing I do out of all that I do is looking after and caring for him, and I could do that with yours too. I do anything that you can imagine from playing to brushing to running with the four legged friends. I absolutely love dogs and I would be perfect with looking after your four legged friends. I'm very active and I have a very clean flat as it is very important to do so with any kind of pet. It would be a pleasure for me to work through Christmas, bank holidays and Sundays. You will have absolutely no worries leaving your dog with me.
