This was my puppy Daisy's first experience of being away from home and I couldn't have been happier with how well she was looked after by Sharon. She also looked after my other dog Coco who really enjoyed her day walking and playing ball. Overall my dogs were provided with excellent care throughout their stay and I would have no hesitation in booking with Sharon again.

Alix settled Poppy as she was a little nervous on her first visit due to the other dogs. Kept me reassured throughout the day with updates. Really comfortable using Alix and looking forward to our next visit - thanks for Poppy’s biscuit treats on leaving!

Amira loved her time with Inga & Bonnie. Amira is always scared around new people but she’s gotten used to Inga very quickly, which is great! Inga has been very patient with Amira’s constant demands to be petted.

About: caring dog sitter based in Brandon. I’ve always had a natural connection with animals, and nothing makes me happier than helping dogs feel safe, relaxed, and loved while their owners are away. Now that I’m retired, I have all the time in the world to focus on the needs of the dogs I care for, giving them my full attention and a calm, steady presence. I live in a detached house with an enclosed, secure garden — perfect for small dogs to explore and play safely. Just a few yards from my home is a beautiful forest, ideal for peaceful walks, sniffing adventures, and gentle exercise. It’s a wonderful setting for dogs who enjoy nature and a quiet environment. My Experience I have a small dog of my own and have been caring for friends’ “fur babies” for many years. Many of them are now regulars who feel right at home with me. I’m confident with different personalities — from playful pups to gentle seniors — and I always adapt to each dog’s routine and comfort level. My Approach I treat every dog as if they were my own — with patience, affection, and respect. I follow your instructions carefully and keep your dog’s routine consistent so they feel secure and settled. My goal is always to make your time away stress free, knowing your dog is in loving hands. What I Offer • Small dog sitting only (perfect for owners who want a calm, cosy environment) • Day care or overnight stays • Walks in the nearby forest • Feeding, routine care, and enrichment • A safe, quiet home with no small children • Regular photo and message updates • DBS checked for your peace of mind I’d love to learn more about your little one and how I can help. Feel free to reach out anytime to arrange a meet and greet or ask any questions I am now retired and have all the time to focus on the needs of the dogs I care for and giving them my full attention. Indie spent two days at daycare with Lucy and Coco, and we couldn’t be happier. As a shy girl, we were so pleased to see how eager she was to go back each day, it really meant a lot to us. Thank you, Lucy, for making Indie feel so at home and for all the lovely photos you shared. We’ve definitely found our pet sitter and will absolutely be coming back! 🐾💛

When Maria opened the door Florence greeted her in the same bouncy exuberant way she would if we returned home or if our closest family visited - this was perfect reassurance how well she is looked after in Maria's care. Maria is someone we've learned is genuine and caring, and we highly recommend her to anyone who might be worried about finding the perfect person to entrust caring for your precious canine friend.

About: Growing up in a house full of rescue cats and dogs ignited my passion for animal welfare, which goes above and beyond in both my professional and personal life. I understand how daunting it can be leaving your furry one in someone else’s hands and I ensure the best quality care catering to any specific needs, and guaranteed photos of your pet so rest assured you know they’re having fun. I’m able to be flexible working with your house sitting and home boarding needs. At home, I live with both a very friendly dog and loving cat, so your pet would have to be okay with this, otherwise I’m happy to house sit! Please don't hesitate to ask any questions 🤗 Having previously worked at a veterinary practice, I understand how to meet your pet where they’re at - whether that’s with cuddles and playtime from the get-go or a calm gentle approach to soothe nerves. I'm experienced in walking dogs of all sizes, chihuahuas to great danes, and can promise walking routes and lengths dependant on your dog's requirements. I'm experienced in house sitting for both dogs and cats, and to ensure your mind is at ease, I keep in full contact with photos of your loved ones throughout time away from them.

We booked Annalise for day care ahead of having our two rescue dogs board with her when we go to Spain next week. Annalise was super responsive both ahead and during the booking. She sent loads of photos and I could tell that the dogs were at ease and happy with her, even the one who’s a bit nervous and timid with new people! I’m sure they can’t wait to see Annalise again :)

About: I grew up with dogs. My parents managed a very successful boarding establishment which I worked in regularly and we always had dogs of our own: Rhodesian ridgebacks, rescue greyhounds, dachshunds to name a few. I've regularly looked after other people's dogs and have never had any complaints. My husband and I have a beautiful little jack russell whom we adore. My husband works from home, so is home all day to ensure that your dogs have company and I'll take responsibility for feeding and any medication required. While I work approximately 38 weeks a year, my husband works from home full time and is available to keep your pet company throughout the day. My mother, who worked with dogs for 55 years prior to retiring, also visits us regularly and is happy to help out with any dogs staying. We love heading out walks; dog walking is already part of our daily routine, with longer walks and adventures being a favourite weekend hobby. Check that they can't jump the tall fence in the garden, or are likely to dig underneath it. Lots of play time interacting with us and our jack russell, Maple. Feeding time(s) as per owners' requests. Medication administered as required. Plenty of opportunities to do the toilet (both in the garden and on walks)

About: I’m Lee 🐾 I’ve always had a big heart for animals, and caring for them is more than a job—it’s my passion. Whether your furry friend loves long walks, playful adventures, or just a quiet cuddle, I make sure they feel safe, loved, and happy while you’re away. I have experience with both dogs and cats of all ages, from energetic puppies and kittens to senior pets who need extra care and patience. My approach is gentle, reliable, and tailored to each pet’s unique personality. I am currently working part-time, but soon looking to care for animals as my full time job. I am currently available most afternoons and early evenings with some weekend availability when I can. Anything considered, where I am available. I have a fenced garden, that even keeps in my very Senior cat of 19 years for her daily wander around. Along with my 2 friendly playful dogs.

Freya offered a great day care service. She was very professional and very responsive at all times. She took special care with our elderly Beagle and extra paid attention to his set medication and meal times. She kept us updated throughout his stays with photos and took him on a nice walk with the other dogs in her group that day. Would highly recommend her to anyone looking for doggy day care in the area.

Frequently asked questions about Rover

The average cost for Doggy Day Care in Forest Heath on Rover is £27.6 per day (as of July 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.

Rover makes budgeting the cost of Doggy Day Care easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Doggy Day Care. For more information on service fees, click here .

There are 555 sitters on Rover for Doggy Day Care in Forest Heath. About 85% of Forest Heath sitters can respond to requests in under 60 minutes. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or need same-day cover for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once to find available care.

Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later collection to match your Forest Heath commute.

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust collection and drop-off times when needed.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:

  • Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
  • Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
  • Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
  • Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
  • Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible

Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.

The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .

Emergency support is available by phone or email in English, French, German, and Spanish from Mon-Sat 9am to 6pm. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a qualified vet or offer other resources to help.

If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s booking protection means Rover Support will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
