“Alix did a wonderful job looking after our dear old cat while we were away. She gave us daily updates of her visits and activities along with photos of Sophien the cat. We are well pleased and would highly recommend Alix to any other pet owner in the area needing the best in compassionate care and attention. Thanks!”

“Freya looked after our two cats at our home for a few days, she looked after them so kindly and got to know them both! She also made sure our home was well looked after as well, and kept us updated with texts and videos of the cats every time she visited. She was excellent and we will definitely use her again, we highly recommend!”

I currently work part time on weekends so from Monday to Friday i can be with your pets for as long as you need! I can be flexible to fit your schedule! I will ask some questions before I take on looking after your pet in your home, so i can ensure a safe and trusted experience for your pet! I will follow your rules and respect you and your pet!
“Louise did a great job caring for our kitten, doing everything that was needed and sending photos to reassure us, and leaving everything tidy for our return. Much appreciated. Thank you!”

“Utterly amazing. I booked Bev as soon as I saw her photo and knew I could trust her. Meet and greet confirmed this. My greyhound, loves her and adores the belly rubs. Bev takes incredible photos of her. She even got my washing in as was raining. Very happy and have rebooked multiple times now. Many thanks Bev 💖”

About: I’ve been looking after dogs since I was around 14 when I would house and dog sit for a neighbour’s beautiful English Setter! I also spent a summer looking after a neighbour’s horses and goats (best summer of my life!). I have a family dog, Pepper, who lives in my family home. I trained her as a puppy and walk her regularly. I miss having animals in my daily life so can’t wait to meet some lovely dogs in my area! I work full time at a hospital, which equates to 3 shifts a week, 12 hours long each shift. This gives me 4 days off a week. Unfortunately, I don’t work set shifts so my schedule changes week by week but I get my rota through 2 months in advance so can plan around it easily! I can also request days off if far enough in advance if needed! My days off are generally spent going on walks (when I’m not doing house work!) or reading. I am happy to follow any and all safety requirements for your dog, including crating and walking them on a lead. I am happy to send regular photos and updates and any other requests. I know it is hard to trust someone with your pet so want to make you as comfortable as possible!
About: I’ve always had a passion for looking after dogs/cats and mainly wanted to work with dogs ever since I was young, I’ve had lots of experience with animals in different ways wether it’s with family buisness or looking after someone’s else’s pets. I am currently on a level 2 animal course at college and this fits great around my college days, I am free 4 days a week or at night times on Tues, Wed,Thurs too. I would care for pets in owners home based on there own routines, (certain feeding times etc) and show lots of care and joy to your animals.
About: I have always adored dogs and will try and go the extra step for your furry family members. If you want any basic training doing I’ve got you! If your dog has extra requirements or special needs I will do it! I currently live with my wonderful partner as a stay at home girlfriend but I want to fill my time helping you out with caring for your dogs. I have plenty of free time. I promise you your dogs will be in a safe environment with me. I’ll follow and rules you have put in place but I will always be more cautious as I don’t want anything to happen.
About: I’ve had pets all my life and currently have 3 dogs and 3 cats as well as experience with lizards and bunnies. We are a family that is always on the go and loves to go out for a good walk or run around. I have taken care of dogs from newborns to seniors and understand the attentive care that is required. I currently work but I’m free on weekends and most weekdays I’m able to scoot out to check up on them. I generally have an open morning and evening even after taking my dogs out to have their daily run. I have a fenced in back garden, but take walks around the estate or woods with a long lead. I have a friendly medium dog and a cat that minds himself but is also friendly. I understand some pets have certain eating habits so i keep them all separate during feeding time.
About: I have cared and adored animals, big and small for as long as I can remember. We have always had a anima within the family home which I have contributed to care for such as walking, bathing, feeding, brushing and playing with. I love most animals equally, however I currently have 2x kittens called Beau and Gizmo. I am currently available part time in which I am free to provide my services; walk or dog sit currently on Fridays and Saturdays at any time of the day. I am located within Ipswich only, I do not drive. I do not currently have a dog within my home as they are not allowed within my privately rented flat however once I am able to, I am most definitely rescuing one from the shelter. If I were to provide a sitting service, I would come and keep your lovely companion company or rather they would keep me company, I would bathe them if required, clear up the dog ‘leavings’ in the garden if required, I have previously cleaned the owners home too as part of the service mostly to clean up dog fur and/or muddy paw prints as much as they are adorable. Within dog walking, I would provide an hours walk at minimum however if required less then that is possible for a decreased price.

About: I’ve always been a huge animal lover and understand just how important pets are as part of the family. Growing up, I had six cats and a Golden Labrador, and I now have a lovely Cocker Spaniel of my own, so I’m experienced with both cats and dogs and comfortable caring for pets of different ages and personalities. I work full-time as a Cardiac Physiologist at West Suffolk Hospital, and in my free time I enjoy taking my Cocker Spaniel on long walks, spending time in the garden, and being outdoors. I’m available for pet care in the mornings and evenings before and after work, as well as throughout the weekend. I can also offer overnight pet sitting when needed. If you’re looking for a reliable, caring, and experienced pet lover to look after your furry family members, I’d be delighted to help whenever I’m available. Please feel free to send me a message — I’d love to hear from you! 🙂 I work Monday - Friday 8-17:00 at West Suffolk Hospital, so am available mornings and evenings. I also have full availability on weekends, so please message me to find out more info. 🙂 I know how important it is to have someone reliable looking after your pets, and I’ll treat your cat with the same care and attention I’d give my own. Whether your cat loves cuddles and company or prefers their space, I’m happy to adapt to their personality and routine.
About: I have been dog, cat, and house sitting since childhood! I have volunteered at SPCA and have always found or adopted my pets. I grew up with a golden retriever and several cats. My schedule is very flexible right now, as I recently relocated to bury st Edmund's. Hoping to make the most of my time by helping out others and getting to spend time with their furry family. I have spent many years caring for pets of friends and family in their homes. I've always felt that it's easier to keep them in their home where they are familiar and comfortable and I am the one who is in their space. They are already missing their parents (owners) no need to add more stress.
About: I grew up with a dog in the family and enjoyed taking care and spending time with dogs ever since. I have some experience with cats too, taking care of friends cats I work from home so have some time to spend with pets. Plenty of parks to take them for a walk around too
“Hannah has been a wonderful, dedicated, sensitive cat-sitter and has bonded wirh our 16 year old cat really well. The pictures were super to have, and we appreciated the chance to exchange notes via Rover. Bravo to Hannah and bravo to Rover as an eycellent umbrella app!”

“Belinda came to visit the pets beforehand and while I was away she was very reliable, visited on time and sent me photos every day. Such peace of mind while I was away over Christmas was priceless. I can absolutely recommend Belinda.”

About: I’m a 33 year old female living in a flat in Bury St Edmunds. I have a marketing job with 9-5:30 flexible hours and I’m currently working from home and free on the weekends. In my spare time I love to go out on long walks & adventures and enjoy them so much better with a dog. I don’t have a dog myself but I have house sat and boarded a range of gorgeous different types of dog on this app and we had great walks together to different parks. I’d love to help people in the area with walks or boarding / looking after their dog whenever needed :). I’d be so excited to look after anyone’s animal/s in general and to help anyone out :). I’m very independent and live by myself but I am very close to my parents in south Cambridge where we all love to go on walks together too. Please message me if you would like to know anything more or require any further information :). I work from home so I am able to offer daycare during these times and I also offer boarding and house sitting. My partner Laurie also likes to help out and is usually around when I board dogs at my place. He enjoys joining us for walks and playing with the dogs. For house sitting Laurie will also join me so your pets get all the extra attention and love. We are always happy to come by for a meet up/ introduction beforehand so you get to meet us both. I have a shared garden for regular smaller walk/ toilet breaks but during your dogs stay I will also venture out for longer walks. I’ll make sure your dog gets all the exercise, love & attention they need! Please note that I do live in a flat/apartment where there are always neighbours coming/going at different times in the area. I am aware that sometimes seeing/hearing strangers can make a dog anxious/ bark a lot. Please consider this before booking :) many thanks. Pet care fits into my routine easily, as I work from home and have a flexible schedule, allowing me to give dogs the attention, walks, and care they need throughout the day. I prioritize a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment by following each pet’s routine, keeping spaces secure, and always treating them with patience and kindness. Whether in my home or the owner’s, I maintain trust by respecting their rules, providing updates, and ensuring the pets feel comfortable and cared for.
About: I am an animal lover who is home all day in Witchford and who is able to provide a lot of love and attention to your pet. I looked after many pets on Rover when we lived in the USA and now I am starting again in England. I have a Boston Terrier called Poppy who I take out 2 times a day for walks already and who would love to make new friends and play. I grew up with dogs as a child in Sri Lanka, previously having a Dachshund and a Dalmatian. I like to train my puppy to sit, stay and come and to keep her clean with a bath once a week. My husband is also a dog lover who has had a Golden Retriever and a Jack Russel in the past and who will add extra love and car to your pet care experience! We have a 2 year old daughter who loves animals as well but we request that your pet also likes and is experienced with children. Poppy is also fine with cats and we have looked after cats before I am not working currently so can focus on your pet’s care. I am flexible in terms of drop off and pick up and I can walk the dog twice a day I have a big house with a fenced garden that your pet can run around and play in. Our village is very quiet and safe

Clare was absolutely fantastic in looking after Rupert and keeping us updated with daily photos and what he had been up to! You could really tell she made the effort in spending time with him and giving him the attention and playtime he needed. Thank you Clare!
Anna was absolutely amazing with our cat on drop in visits! She was so flexible with the dates after I had to change my plans last minute due to a family emergency. She was very proactive about arranging a meet and greet which was lovely and took everything on board and knew exactly what to do. On the visits we got plenty of pictures and a little update about how she was. Anna was also able to do our cats eye drops which was a last minute prescription from the vets so we didn’t have to worry about her missing them. Our cat is very nervous around new people but warmed up to Anna very quickly which is always a good sign! We will definitely be using her again for our future trips away. Thank you Anna for you’re lovely service.

Freya looked after our two cats at our home for a few days, she looked after them so kindly and got to know them both! She also made sure our home was well looked after as well, and kept us updated with texts and videos of the cats every time she visited. She was excellent and we will definitely use her again, we highly recommend!

The average cost for Cat Sitting in Forest Heath on Rover is £13.8 per Visit (as of June 2026). However, all sitters set their own rates based on experience, location, and availability.
Rover makes budgeting the cost of Cat Sitting easy. As long as your dates and pet profiles are correct, the price you see before you book is the same price you pay for Cat Sitting. For more information on service fees, click here .
Many sitters respond to requests in under an hour. Whether you are planning ahead for public holidays, need last-minute care, or same-day coverage for an urgent trip, you can message multiple sitters at once.
Once you find the right match, you can arrange a Meet & Greet to ensure they are a perfect fit for your pet’s personality before confirming.
Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter trays. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialisation or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a key safe. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalised codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in a flat, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or lift etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.
Every sitter on Rover must pass an identity verification before they can list their services. An identity verification confirms that the sitter is who they say they are based on their documents.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit our Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes dedicated customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement programme for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to £25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
