“Rufus had a lovely time with Henry and Angharad! They were very thorough following the feeding and walking instructions I left and very responsive to messages. We've got lots of cute photos from their day together and Rufus seems very content now he is home. Would highly recommend them as sitters!”

“Koda had no problem bonding with Wasana, her husband and their friendly pup Poppy. I greatly appreciate all the updates/photos, I could tell Koda had a blast! I would definitely recommend Wasana as a puppy sitter. Thank you for taking such great care of Koda”

About: I grew up with dogs. My parents managed a very successful boarding establishment which I worked in regularly and we always had dogs of our own: Rhodesian ridgebacks, rescue greyhounds, dachshunds to name a few. I've regularly looked after other people's dogs and have never had any complaints. My husband and I have a beautiful little jack russell whom we adore. My husband works from home, so is home all day to ensure that your dogs have company and I'll take responsibility for feeding and any medication required. While I work approximately 38 weeks a year, my husband works from home full time and is available to keep your pet company throughout the day. My mother, who worked with dogs for 55 years prior to retiring, also visits us regularly and is happy to help out with any dogs staying. We love heading out walks; dog walking is already part of our daily routine, with longer walks and adventures being a favourite weekend hobby. Check that they can't jump the tall fence in the garden, or are likely to dig underneath it. Lots of play time interacting with us and our jack russell, Maple. Feeding time(s) as per owners' requests. Medication administered as required. Plenty of opportunities to do the toilet (both in the garden and on walks)
“Our one year old cocker Frank recently spent a a couple of days with Claire & Ross. Frank tends to suffer from separation anxiety, however he very happily goes to Claire & Ross. We find Claire & Ross to be terrific hosts! Claire is soft & calm & Ross is jolly & commanding and very chilled, a great combination for looking after a lively anxious young dog. Ross took Frank on long walks along with his own dog & Frank had the run of the house which helped to make him feel and at home, so much better than kennels. I would definitely recommend Claire & Ross, in my opinion you won’t find better dog sitters!”

About: I cared for my own dog for 16 years. Now I enjoy looking after family and friends animals and especially taking dogs for long walks. I am currently working at weekends and have time in the week to help care for and walk clients animal friends to give you peace of mind. When caring for a pet in their own home I try and keep to their daily schedule. If caring for a pet in my home, I do have a fenced garden for safety.

“Laura was so kind and accommodating. She met me before hand to make sure our dogs were a good fit, and we were able to take a walk together. On the day she watched my dog she was so flexible and kind. I arrived to pick up my dog late in the evening, much later than I really should have, but Laura was nothing but sweet. My dog seems well rested and calm, like she had a great evening. I will 100% be using Laura's dog sitting services again!”

About: I've always been a person who loves animals, I'm coursing Veterinary physiotherapy and I'm looking to be surroun of animals and have my own dog one day. I've been watching my close friends' dogs when they had to go away for 1 week. with lots of love , games and free time . I already had a black labrador which was the best dog I ever had. Also many of another owners left the dogs with me.… I am currently working part-time and studying, I will have plenty of time to look after, walk and play with your dog. I live in a room so can't board animals 😢. Send me a message and I would love to meet you 🥰 I am working part-time, so I will have plenty of time and breaks to walk with your dogs, make different games, give right nutrition and cuddle. I always check if the dogs have any allergies, and what they are allowed do to in their own place. Also, check the perimeters in case of any danger.
About: I’ve taken care of any sort of animals since i was 16, neighbours, friends and family have all relied on me to walk, feed and take care of their loved pet i currently don’t work at the minute so this would be my only job, so i’ll have plenty of time to play with your pups, i’m available any day of the week i have a very big garden where your pups can play, unfortunately my garden isn’t fenced so if there’s a chance your pups can escape when i take them outside i’ll take them using a collar, i have one very friendly pup who loves to play
“This was my puppy Daisy's first experience of being away from home and I couldn't have been happier with how well she was looked after by Sharon. She also looked after my other dog Coco who really enjoyed her day walking and playing ball. Overall my dogs were provided with excellent care throughout their stay and I would have no hesitation in booking with Sharon again.”

“Ricci was able to watch our pups after another sitter fell through. He was so easy to coordinate with and the dogs came home super happy and tired!! Would absolutely recommend!”
“Paul has been absolutely fantastic. He looked after our Gus very well. He sent constant updates and Gus had an amazing time. Paul definitely knows how to look after dogs. We will book him again for sure.”

About: We have both grown up with dogs that we have trained, lived and recently lost. We can work from home or have a dog-friendly office if owners are comfortable with that My partner works as a nurse so is home some days during the week. I can WFH whenever needed and also have a dog-friendly office. While we do have the odd weekly hobby, we are mostly only out for an hour or 2 and typically one of us is in the house at any time. We have a fully fenced garden and live in a lovely countryside village which is perfect to take dogs for a walk. We do have a small cat who we are gradually introducing to dogs, so we do ask that your dog is cat friendly. Right now we have no stair gate so the dog will have full roam of the house.
About: Hi my name is Steve and I have years of experience looking after friends' dogs and cats. I grew up with a labrador and (together with my wife and daughter) have been the proud owner of Sam, our (now almost) 7 year old cockapoo. Sam is very friendly, loves nothing more than chasing a tennis ball and cuddling on the settee with a blanket. I work from home and enjoy going for daily walks with Sam around the village and nearby Country Park, so your pet will have plenty of company and exercise during their stay. Your dog will also have full access to our enclosed rear garden, with plenty of space to play, and free access to the downstairs of the house. I am available for day care and boarding in our home, during the week and on most weekends. Before committing to any new bookings, I would like to meet your dog to ensure that your dog is happy to settle with our dog. Please contact me for any questions. I work from home and enjoy taking our dog for daily walks around the village and neaby Country Park, ensuring your dog will have plenty of company and exercise. Your dog would have free access to an enclosed rear garden with plenty of space to play and would also have full roam of the downstairs rooms (inluding access to comfy settees and blankets).
About: I love dogs and cats, they love me in return. They contribute to my mental health. I've always been surrounded with pets. I've recently lost my best friend, Falco, you can see him on most of the pictures. I'm still grieving him so I wouldn't be able to get another dog. But I still need to be in contact with pets, hence this profile. I don't have many reviews because I created this profile a month before adopting Falco and I'm only coming back to the UK in July! I like to believe Falco had the best life, we lived in England and France together, our bond was magical. He was part of my everyday life, I've chosen my job so that I would have a lot of free time to take care of him and go on long walks. He was part of every plan : going to the café, going on holidays, going to parties, he lived them all. You can count on me to take good care of your loved ones. I am a teacher, so I have a lot of free time. I've chosen to do this job to spend most of my time with my best friend Falco, he died six months ago. I usually work 8 to 4 but not every day and I have a lot of holidays! I would never give less than 4 walks a day to a dog, with at least 2 long walks (unless asked differently). I live in a 45m² one bedroom flat in a quiet village. There's a park literally in front of the house, and a forest next to it. The river is close, I have a car. We're going to have so much fun!

This was a last-minute booking and Wasana was incredibly accommodating. She kindly suggested a meet-and-greet the evening before so my dog, Russ, could get familiar with her and her home, which I really appreciated. Russ was especially well looked after. He had plenty of walks, and she even added little treats like rice and tuna to his food. When he got upset during the night, she comforted him and even let him sleep on her bed so he wouldn’t feel alone. Wasana was everything I could have asked for and more. I felt completely at ease leaving Russ with her, and she will definitely be my go-to for any future bookings.

Julie is fantastic. From our initial enquiry to when we picked up Henry (our cockapoo) after his first stay she was spot on for us. Very professional, Henry has food intolerances and hasn’t mixed with other dogs much, neither was an issue which was so comforting. Communication was great and she’s so friendly too. We’ve already rebooked future stays- highly recommended.

Your dog’s first day care experience is a big milestone! To help your pup settle in comfortably, we recommend:
- Food and treats portioned for the day, with feeding instructions
- Your dog's lead and collar (ensure tags are up-to-date)
- Any seasonal gear, such as paw-safe wax for winter or a cooling vest for the summer
- Medication, if applicable, with clear dosage notes
- Any special care instructions or training tips to help your sitter provide the most personalised care possible
Tip: Upload this information directly through the Rover app before drop-off. The more context you provide, the better your sitter can tailor the day to your dog.
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog's vaccines is the best way to be 'boarding ready'. Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Sitters in East of England may request that your dog be up-to-date on core vaccines, such as Canine Distemper, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Adenovirus (also known as DHP or DHPPi), Leptospirosis and Kennel Cough. Cats may be required to have Feline Panleucopenia Virus, Feline Herpesvirus, Feline Calicivirus, and Feline Leukaemia Virus up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If you would like updates while you’re away, you can discuss with your sitter how many or how frequent you’d like those updates to be. The Rover app allows sitters to send photos, videos, and messages about your pet, including how many pee or poo breaks occured. You can message your sitter at any time through the app and our support team is available for dedicated customer support by email or chat if you have concerns.
The personalised, in-home nature of pet care through Rover can mean more individual attention for your pet.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
We require sitters to operate in compliance with applicable local licensing requirements. In England, pet sitters who board dogs or provide doggy day care as a business may need a valid licence under the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) Regulations 2018. When vetting your sitter, ask if they meet local licensing requirements for dog boarding. This confirmation is important for coverage under the Rover Guarantee. Read more about our requirement for following local licensing requirements .
