About: I first became a "dog Mum" 15 years ago to our Westie, Elland, who sadly we lost recently. I sadly was that annoying "Dog Mum" who had pictures of her on my desk and booked holiday for her birthday each year. I took voluntary redundancy nearly 6 years ago so have been fortunate to spend quality time at home with her and take her out and about on our own or with her other doggy friends. Unfortunately she lost her hearing about 3 years ago so learnt quickly how to communicate with her with some basic sign language. She also developed dry eye disease so I had to administer drops 5 times each day. Two of these were determined by time so I had to ensure I was available to give her these on time. The last 5 months of her life, her arthritis worsened so I bought a buggy to help her whilst out for daily walks/sniffs. I have also looked after family dogs whilst they have been on holiday and have accomodated raw feeding for one of family dogs. I live with my husband in a bungalow. He still works but is here in the evenings and at weekends. I work during examination periods at a local college but can accomodate pet sitting around this as dates are known well in advance. My contract with the college is ona casual basis so dog sitting will be my priority. We have used a local dog sitter who stayed in our home when we went on holiday. I therefore understand the importance of providing important information to the pet sitter when leaving the pet. When I first stopped working I volunteered for a local hospice helping support a family who used their services, by walking their dog on a weekly basis to give them some respite and also encourage the dog to socilise. I did this for 12 months. I also volunteered at Wood Green Animal Charity during Covid restrictions. Although I was there to help in the fundraising office, we often had dogs who weren't settling in kennels, come and sit with us in the office for the day. Some were quite withdrawn so I learnt how to slowly gain their trust. I am retired so home all day. My husband works full time but is home in the evenings and at weekends. I do some casual exam invigilating but I know dates for this in advance so will not take on any work if pet sitting is booked. I am happy to be led by the owners on when and what activity their dog (s) are used to so am pretty flexible. I have acess to my own car so can take the dog to any appointments if required. I have a fully fenced in garden (6ft) I live in a village with lots of access to quiet walks in the countryside if required, as well as walks within the village itself. I am happy to book out local secure dog fields if agreed with the owner but this will involve driving to nearby fields. As previously mentioned we live in a bungalow so no stairs. We are based in a quiet cul-de-sac so if your dog is reactive to traffic, should not be a problm here. I have space for a medium size crate if required.

They are very organised with notes and asked loads of questions and learnt her quirks, so we didn’t need to worry at all. About: I’ve lived with and looked after many pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. I regularly look after my friends dogs, cats and other small pets. I have a passion for dogs and although I don’t currently have my own I regularly walk dogs daily with friends and/or family. I’ve helped train puppies and also spent time caring for elder dogs. I currently work for a company that produces smart devices for pets so I am very familiar with animals and the wants and needs required to look after them and their welfare. I work fully remote for a pet device company and regularly spend my spare time with my friends and families pets. About: I have been an animal lover my entire life and I am hoping to work with animals as a full time job in the future. I am currently in university studying Veterinary Physiotherapy and I recently completed my level 3 Animal Management qualification at college. Due to my university schedule, I am only available during the holidays (Christmas, Easter and summer). I have previous work experience at the RSPCA looking after a range of dog breeds, including larger breeds like Huskies and Cane Corsos as well as small breeds like Chihuahuas and Terriers. During this experience, I have helped to walk dogs, clean out kennels, feed and play with dogs. I have also gained experience working with cats, rabbits, birds and other small animals at the RSPCA. I currently have a dog, who is a springer spaniel x poodle called Doodle, and a cat, called Pancake. I spend much of my free time taking Doodle on walks and playing and cuddling with her and Pancake whenever they want to. I have also on many occasions looked after pets of friends and family, including labradors, spaniels, jack russells, beagles, cats and rabbits. I am currently in university so I am only able to do pet sitting during the holidays. I am available around Christmas (19th Dec-10th Jan), Easter (20th Mar-4th Apr) and over the summer (10th May-Sept). The safety of your pets will always be my number one priority and I will ensure that I keep an eye on them so that they are safe and happy. I will listen to, follow and respect any rules or boundaries that you have when looking after your pets to keep both you and your pets happy and comfortable.

I looked after many pets on Rover when we lived in the USA and now I am starting again in England. I have a Boston Terrier called Poppy who I take out 2 times a day for walks already and who would love to make new friends and play. About: I grew up with dogs. My parents managed a very successful boarding establishment which I worked in regularly and we always had dogs of our own: Rhodesian ridgebacks, rescue greyhounds, dachshunds to name a few. I've regularly looked after other people's dogs and have never had any complaints. My husband and I have a beautiful little jack russell whom we adore. My husband works from home, so is home all day to ensure that your dogs have company and I'll take responsibility for feeding and any medication required. While I work approximately 38 weeks a year, my husband works from home full time and is available to keep your pet company throughout the day. My mother, who worked with dogs for 55 years prior to retiring, also visits us regularly and is happy to help out with any dogs staying. We love heading out walks; dog walking is already part of our daily routine, with longer walks and adventures being a favourite weekend hobby. Check that they can't jump the tall fence in the garden, or are likely to dig underneath it. Lots of play time interacting with us and our jack russell, Maple. Feeding time(s) as per owners' requests. Medication administered as required. Plenty of opportunities to do the toilet (both in the garden and on walks)
About: We are a work from home family in Ely area with two cavalier king Charles spaniels and a house bunny. We frequently look after other people's dogs both in our home, taking them for walks and checking in on them in their own homes. We have experience with puppies and older dogs and welcome any breed. We both work from home so are very flexible and can make sure your dogs won't be left alone for too long. We have a 5 year old who loves animals and will enjoy giving your pet lots of extra playtime (if they would like it!) We both work from home so are always available to be home to care for your pets. We can do daily walks and frequent toilet breaks for the dogs. We have a fenced garden so there is a nice secure area for your dogs to go out and play. We have two very friendly cavaliers and a house bunny. The house bunny is caged or moved to a different room when other dogs come to stay.
“Our one year old cocker Frank recently spent a a couple of days with Claire & Ross. Frank tends to suffer from separation anxiety, however he very happily goes to Claire & Ross. We find Claire & Ross to be terrific hosts! Claire is soft & calm & Ross is jolly & commanding and very chilled, a great combination for looking after a lively anxious young dog. Ross took Frank on long walks along with his own dog & Frank had the run of the house which helped to make him feel and at home, so much better than kennels. I would definitely recommend Claire & Ross, in my opinion you won’t find better dog sitters!”

About: We have both grown up with dogs that we have trained, lived and recently lost. We can work from home or have a dog-friendly office if owners are comfortable with that My partner works as a nurse so is home some days during the week. I can WFH whenever needed and also have a dog-friendly office. While we do have the odd weekly hobby, we are mostly only out for an hour or 2 and typically one of us is in the house at any time. We have a fully fenced garden and live in a lovely countryside village which is perfect to take dogs for a walk. We do have a small cat who we are gradually introducing to dogs, so we do ask that your dog is cat friendly. Right now we have no stair gate so the dog will have full roam of the house.

About: I’ve got 3 animal mad children who absolutely love dogs so I can guarantee your pet won’t go short of love when staying with us! I’m currently off work with a lung condition, I’m on oxygen but I’m capable of walking your pet daily and all the care they need I have a fenced garden perfect for keeping your pet safe and can easily accommodate crates or beds, whichever your pet prefers is fine with me.

About: Myself and my partner (Henry) have a number of years experience of looking after dogs. We have attended training courses and looked after other people’s dogs for a number of years. We lost our beloved Shih Tzu in 2024 💕🐶🪽and are currently in-between dogs. So Rover has been a lovely way to meet new four legged friends. Myself and Henry will both be involved in looking after your dog so we can promise you that they’ll get plenty of attention! [Please also note that we have a young son but we will strictly not accept Rover bookings during times when he is at home] We both work from home, so there will always be someone at home. We also have some flexibility with our work hours so please don’t worst about contacting us about mid-week dog sitting. We would ensure that your pet feels at home as possible. We will ensure regular walks and we are happy for your pet to be on the furniture - bed, sofa etc. We will make sure to stick to whatever rules you have in place in your home to ensure consistency for your dog.

Bevo didn’t have time to miss us between the walks and play time with their sweet little Boston, Poppy. They sent a few updates that let us know they were treating Bevo like she was their own. A week or so after her stay, we bumped into Sewwandi on a walk and Bevo lost her mind she was so excited to see her! I would recommend Sewwandi to anyone looking for a Rover!”

About: I’ve lived with and looked after many pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits and other small animals. I regularly look after my friends dogs, cats and other small pets. I have a passion for dogs and although I don’t currently have my own I regularly walk dogs daily with friends and/or family. I’ve helped train puppies and also spent time caring for elder dogs.
