About: I’ve had dogs all my life, starting with a rescue Dalmatian cross when I was about 3. As she got older we started fostering other rescue dogs from Many Tears rescue. Through them we cared for tens of dogs of all shapes and sizes, ages and confidences sometimes for months at a time. After this we joined the guide dogs puppy walking scheme where we looked after two consecutive guide dog puppies for a year each. Both went on to graduate as successful guide dogs. Nowadays, I frequently house sit for my parents to look after their Double Doodle Barney, cat Colin, and multitude of fish. Emily has always been around animals including cats, dogs, and horses. She has a knack for building trust and relationships with animals and often looks after the spaniel puppy from work when the owner needs a break, and has fixed a lot of behaviours and helped with her training no end. Emily and I both work from early until 17:00, but while I’m Monday to Friday she is Wednesday to Sunday meaning we are available to help a Friday night all the way to Tuesday evening. Emily works at a dog friendly open site with other dogs resident so with owners agreement could take dogs to work occasionally on other days too. We have a cosy manageable ground floor flat with easy access to outside and adjoining green space through our own external door. Your dog would be kept company at all times, having free run of the flat and being supervised whenever trips outside were needed. We have space for crates if this suits your dog, and can accommodate any house rules requested.

“We were so happy to have Larissa look after our whippet Rupert, again. He has separation anxiety meaning he doesn't like be left alone, and Larissa takes such great care of him, keeping us updated the whole time. I know he loves being with her as he was looking for her after she left! I cannot recommend Larissa enough and we feel very lucky to have found her.”

“Emma takes such good care of Dill, taking him out on adventures and making sure he has lots of playtime to balance rest. She also left us some lovely cookies 😍 and is a very thoughtful sitter.”

“Rebecca was amazing taking care of our very senior dog. Our dog is a handful to take care of and Rebecca really worked hard to take care of her. I highly recommend Rebecca's service.”

“Charlotte was fantastic. She was great with our 2 dogs and 3 cats. Very calm and reassuring and sent lots of messages and photos whilst we were away so we knew everything was happy at home. Highly recommend Charlotte.”

“Vincent was great. He made friends with the dogs very quickly and took care to listen to instructions and ask questions for anything that he needed clarification on. I came home to two chilled dogs and the house was all in order. We will be reaching out to Vincent again soon.”

About: I have extensive experience with a wide range of animals, including canines, felines, aquatic creatures, exotics, and birds. Having grown up on a farm, I developed hands-on experience with equine and bovine animals from a young age, further broadening my understanding of animal care. I have owned animals all my life, which has instilled in me a deep passion and knowledge for their well-being. I’ve also studied animal care, equipping myself with the theoretical knowledge to complement my practical experience. Currently, I own an 8-week-old kitten, further enhancing my skills in caring for young and developing pets. Additionally, I am frequently entrusted with the care of friends’ and family members’ animals, underscoring their trust in my ability to manage diverse needs and temperaments. This lifelong commitment to animals has given me a comprehensive and empathetic approach to their care and well-being. Pet care is an integral part of my daily and weekly routine, seamlessly woven into the fabric of my life. Each day begins and ends with feeding, grooming, and spending quality time with my pets, ensuring their needs are met and they feel loved and secure. I dedicate time to regular exercise and play, which is essential for their physical and mental well-being. Weekly, I stay on top of more detailed tasks like cleaning their living spaces, checking for any health concerns, and ensuring they have a stimulating environment. Pet care isn't just a task for me; it's a commitment that I approach with consistency, patience, and affection, making sure my pets thrive and remain happy members of my household. When caring for other people’s pets, I approach the responsibility with the same dedication and attention to detail as I do with my own animals. I take the time to understand each pet’s unique needs, routines, and preferences, ensuring they feel comfortable and secure in my care. Whether it’s following specific feeding schedules, administering medication, or providing extra playtime and affection, I tailor my approach to match the pet’s personality and requirements. I stay in close communication with the pet owners, giving them updates and ensuring that their pets are not just well cared for, but also happy and stress-free while they’re away. My goal is to offer peace of mind to pet owners, knowing their beloved animals are in trustworthy, compassionate hands.

“Max has always had a dog in his life. He grew up with family dogs but more importantly was part of the family team which fostered and rehomed numerous rescues, trained guide dog puppies and worked with a very nervous and damaged Romanian dog who joined our family for two years. He knows a lot about dog behaviour and has a natural instinct and bond with them. You have a very safe pair of hands here and I’d recommended him to anyone.”
