“Chloe is a delightful, caring , friendly young lady. She came to see me before staying here so that she could get to know Saffy my French Bulldog and be acquainted with Saffy’s requirements. I found Chloe extremely easy to get to know. During Chloe’s stay here with Saffy, she messaged me daily sending photos and videos of Saffy helping allay any fears I might have had about leaving Saffy in Chloe’s care. I needn’t have worried as on my return it was obvious that Saffy had enjoyed her time with Chloe. Chloe was also a considerate guest leaving everything neat and tidy. She even kindly put on the dishwasher. I can fully recommend Chloe to any dog owners needing a sleep in dog sitter. Thank you so much Chloe for caring so well with Saffy.”

“Abby was absolutely perfect for what we needed. We reached out to her at the last minute, and she truly saved us. We stayed in touch throughout the day to make sure everything was going smoothly, and she always responded quickly. Dash seemed to really enjoy his time with Abby, and we will definitely book her again.”

“Bryony was fantastic with our dog Juno. She was kind, caring, and really attentive to Juno’s needs, which gave us great peace of mind while we were at work. She was also very flexible with times and days, which we really appreciated. Juno clearly had a great time with her, and we wouldn’t hesitate to book Bryony again. Highly recommend!”

“Florence was great. She took amazing care of our two dogs, cat and home for four days. The communication was excellent and the dogs had some great walks. Very happy to recommend Florence to others looking for a sitter”

About: I have two adopted animals from rescue and one girl I’ve had from a puppy. My eldest has medication and specific washing requirements so I’m used to doing that. I drive so can facilitate vet appointments if needed as required. I work from home, so can work to suit schedules and be near animals as required. I have smaller dogs myself which we can separate if this is something your animal isn’t used to. Having animals myself I understand often complex needs and requirements and can adjust to fit various circumstances as needed. I can familiarise myself with any routine required, and happy to attend beforehand as needed to speak to the owner. I was previously an estate agent, so understand how to lock property safely and take care of the owners space and privacy. I would like to think I am reliable and trustworthy such that it can be one worry less during busy times in your schedule.

About: I’m based in Dartmouth but I work near Totnes and Newton Abbot, so I’m happy to provide my service anywhere local. I have three female cats who love to play and cuddle! In the past I had two other cats, a female and a male, and plenty of different dogs including a husky or a German Sheppard and ohh gosh that was an experience to learn about the differences in approach! I’d love to help you out so you can enjoy your time away and know your pets are cared for! I will also send you some cute photos to make sure you don’t miss them too much!

“Emma was wonderful during her recent sit for Tilly. Had a lovely meet and greet... , friendly and open. Communicated well throughout the stay and Tilly relaxed very quickly in her care and was very settled and comfortable when we arrived home.”

“First time I've ever left the dogs with anyone and I couldn't have chosen someone better. The girls had the best time, enjoyed walking and relaxing with David. I was kept up to date with photos too, which was lovely. Thank you. Will definitely be booking again.”

About: I have many years experience looking after all types of pets from hamsters 🐹 to dogs 🐶 I have had pets all my life and currently have a dog called Pip and two bunnies called Fred & Ginger! I also have an animal first aid certificate and a current DBS. I currently work part-time so I have plenty of spare time to look after your fur babies! I can drive and have no commitments so happy to work around you & what you need. I can offer pet sitting in your own home from drop in's to dog walking to overnight/holiday stays. Happy to travel if needed.
“Joe, did a great job looking after Rusty for us. He kept in touch via a WhatsApp link and it was obvious that Rusty felt very relaxed and happy in his company. Joe sorted out some good walks and flexed Rusty’s normal schedule so they were walking in the cool of the evening rather than the midday heat. Joe was also kind enough to keep plants watered whilst we were away. We’d happily ask Joe to sit for us again.”

“Amy came to housesit Coco 🐶 for a few days. Was obvious Coco was well cared for during this time. Not only did Amy care well for Coco the house was cared for too. Good updates from Amy whilst away. Would highly recommend Amy.”

“We were going away for the weekend and didn’t want to put Cassi, our 16 month old GSD, into kennels. Molly provided the perfect solution so that Cassi remained at home. Molly is polite, friendly and obviously a dog lover. While we were away we had regular photo’s of Cassi living in surroundings that she is familiar with and being looked after - and played with ! We returned home to a relaxed, unstressed and happy dog - and as such, we would have no hesitation in calling upon Molly’s services again - or indeed recommending her.”
“Olha recently looked after my dog (Toby) whilst house sitting for a weekend. Olha is very trustworthy and kept in communication the whole time. She provided reassurance that Toby was doing okay, and sent updates including some pictures of him. Olha was amazing with Toby and looked after him so well that he didn’t want her to leave! Highly recommended.”
About: My experience with just dealing with pets is having my own animals from young. I've had fish, hamster, guinea pigs and dogs. My first dog was a rescued Boxer, Ruben. My first proper puppy was a Pug, Dexter, then we rescued Alfie another Pug at the same age as Dexter (around 4yrs.) My house sitting and pet experience was living in an annexe above my landladys garage. She had a working cocker, Zeva. She'd trust me with looking after her house and Zeva while she had to go away for work or on holiday. That was over 2yrs of me living there. I even took Zeva away with my boyfriend and I as we went to Bournemouth for a weekend I was looking after her. We got a pet friendly accomodation and she had the best time on the beach and in the sea playing with her ball. I work 3 days a week, so have plenty of time for sitting and walking pets. I like to walk daily, so dog walking is well suited with my lifestyle. I care for pets in an owners home by communicating with the owners in the first instance to see what responsibilities they expect of their sitter to make sure their animals are in perfect care.
About: I’ve grown up surrounded by animals from the very start, especially dogs and cats. My dad and stepmum had a busy and loving home with eight dogs—mostly rescues—and five cats, all of different breeds including Staffys, a Lurcher, Bulldog, Jack Russell, Sheepdog, Shar Pei, and a Border Terrier. It was a full house, but it taught me so much about animal care, behaviour, and the unique personalities each pet brings. Although my mum didn’t allow dogs at her house, I begged for years—until one day I was handed a puppy training book after school, and I knew something was up. Sure enough, I got home to meet my very first dog, who’s still going strong at nearly 16 years old. I’ve always had a deep love for animals—more than for people, if I’m honest—and I seem to click with every dog I meet. So you can rest assured your furry family member will be in kind, caring, and capable hands with me. As a dedicated dog sitter, I offer a range of engaging and caring activities to keep your furry friend happy, healthy, and safe while you’re away. I provide regular walks tailored to your dog’s energy level, playtime to keep them mentally and physically stimulated, and plenty of cuddle time for comfort and companionship. I also ensure they stick to their feeding schedule, administer any necessary medications, and can practice basic training commands if requested. Whether it’s a visit to a nearby dog park, a game of fetch in the yard, or simply relaxing together at home, I strive to make sure your dog feels loved and well-cared-for in your absence. I currently work full-time on a rotating shift pattern, but I have the flexibility to adjust my schedule with enough notice. If no changes are needed, my typical rota is as follows: Week 1 – I work 12-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday, with Wednesday to Friday off. Week 2 – I’m off Monday and Tuesday, and work 12-hour shifts from Wednesday to Friday, with the weekend off. This routine allows for plenty of availability throughout the week, and I’m more than happy to make adjustments where possible to accommodate your pet care needs. I currently live on my own in a small, cosy flat that’s actually joined to my family’s house, so while I have my own space, there’s always someone around nearby. I don’t have any pets living with me at the moment—mine are with my parents—but I truly miss the company of animals. Any dog staying with me would be treated like part of the family and have full freedom to relax and enjoy the space. My flat is pet-friendly, and I live right next to a field, so toilet breaks and walks are quick and easy. Honestly, I think I’d enjoy the companionship just as much as they would!
“George was really understanding about Phoebe's delicate nature, and loved and looked after her as I would do. He is an excellent house guest, and I would highly recommend him. I shall be booking George again when I next go away.”

“Thank you so much Sophie & Nick. My dog is very anxious and has separation anxiety. Sophie & Nick took the time to get to know him and gently introduce him. It's clear to me how much they care about dogs, as my boy was very well looked after. Sophie sent lots of photos snd regularly updated me on how he was managing. Highly recommended and will certainly book their services again.”

“Liana stepped in at the last minute to look after our dogs after a previous dog sitter who we booked last October let us down, this was an important occasion my daughter’s wedding. I was amazed how calm she was and I felt at ease straight away. Asking someone to look after 8 dogs albeit small ones is a big ask, but she was brilliant and I really hope they behaved for her! I would definitely ask to rebook her again, and I’m grateful to my friend who recommended Rover.”

About: Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and today my constant companion is Harper, my wonderful three-year-old cocker spaniel. We spend most days exploring the countryside around Dartmoor, where we live in a large converted chapel in a peaceful Devon village. Life here is a dog’s dream. We’re surrounded by woodland trails, open moorland, reservoirs and beaches, which means plenty of opportunities for exercise, enrichment and adventure. Whether your dog loves long walks, paddling in the water, playing fetch or simply relaxing in the garden, I’ll tailor their day to suit their personality and energy levels. I work from home, so your dog will have company, attention and regular toilet breaks throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. I also have a secure, enclosed and shaded garden that’s perfect for playtime and keeping cool during warmer weather. Most importantly, I understand that leaving your dog with someone else is a matter of trust. I’ll care for them as if they were my own, making sure they’re safe, happy, well exercised and showered with affection while you’re away. I work full time from home but most of my team is in the U.S, so half my day is my own time to work flexibly which works well during the warmer weather for cool morning walks. I’m available for boarding and house sitting during the week and weekends and I can be flexible for fairly last minute requests. I have a completely enclosed garden that is beautiful and safe. My dog, Harper, is the absolute friendliest cocker spaniel - she’s neutered, very friendly with other dogs and typically follows me around everywhere. I’m happy to take the lead from you on any routines or care your pet requires.
“Sophie is trustworthy, helpful, reliable and caring. She took care of my dog, whilst also looking after my home, when I was away. I was kept updated at all times and felt very reassured and confident to leave all that's precious to me in her care.”
