About: I grew up with rescue dogs and cats but my adult lifestyle never fit with having my own. So, to get my doggy fix I've walked and house sat for dogs, of all sizes and many different breeds, for friends, for work and through another app. Bernese and Hovawart, Weimaraner and whippet, as well as crossbreeds and my favourites, cocker spaniels. I'm forever stopping my run to pet someone's doggy. Happy to look after cats too and a kitty cuddle is always a bonus. I'm currently studying with open university and have found housesitting and dog walking fit perfectly with studying. I run and walk lots and enjoy adventuring with a furry companion. I am happy to travel to house/dog sit for a week or more. However, I prefer to only accept dog walking clients closer to my home near Newhaven, East Sussex. I enjoy taking care of doggies in their own home, where their routines often do not need to change much. In a previous career I spent many years managing high end private chalets and villas as well as working on superyachts, so I have experience and references in taking great care of your property as well as your doggies.

About: Me and my wife are both quite outdoorsy people. Most of the dog behavior issues are from excessive energy. So I believe all tired dogs are good dogs. We hike a lot as we had a border collie for 15 years. Training is also important. I believe all dogs can be trained. We just have to be consistent with it. Doing bit by bit everyday. I’m currently working from home. So my hours are based on my puppy’s schedule. Feeding her 8am in the morning and then walk her right after. Bathroom breaks every couple of hours if we’re not out and about, Last walk of the day at 10:30pm before everyone in the house goes to bed. We found her better behave as we stick to the schedule as much as we can. There’s some basic elements in every household that a dog needs if we recognize them and fit in to our lifestyle, it is the same anywhere we live.

About: Hi, I’m Sunny! I have always had a special place in my heart for dogs—they bring so much joy, and I genuinely love being around them. Whether it’s going for walks, or just providing cuddles and comfort, I treat every dog as if they were my own. You can count on me to be reliable, caring, and attentive to your dog’s unique needs. I know how important it is to feel confident your pet is in good hands, and I’ll make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I have 2 degrees in Wildlife Conservation, as my love and passion for animals is my whole life. I have often cared for the pets of family and friends prior to joining Rover, and have looked after a variety of different animals. They trusted me to walk, feed and keep their pets company from a young age, as I have always been happiest around animals! I am currently in the Telscombe area. I also drive and have access to my own vehicle. My calendar is always updated with my latest availability. Unfortunately, I cannot offer pets to stay in my home as I have a very nervous rescue dog. However, I am more than happy to come to your home and keep pets company!

About: Experience in most breeds young & old, as well as those needing extra care. Happy to also walk those on the dangerous dog lists. Also have experience in Cats, Chickens and small pets. I am currently providing care around other support and walks. Happy to speak about specific needs! Message today and I can see where I can help! I would ensure the highest level of safety and ask all potentially house sits for a ‘daily routine’ from the pets. This will ensure an easy transition and minimal stress to the family pets!

About: I am an artist who is looking for some company, cuddles and a little extra cash, whilst I work. I love walking and I love walking with dogs even more. My family dog is a 7 year old cockapoo and I miss him very much so I would really appreciate some dog time at my new home, especially when I work from home. I also have a 9 year old family cat who I miss dearly, and it was mainly me looking after him, so I have experience looking after cats too. I have a car so pet pick up is easy, as well as, access to larger country areas. I am an artist so the majority of the time I work from home and have plenty time and space to look after animals. I work from home most days and my work is very flexible so I can work around pet visits. Weekends are similar to the weekdays so I would be available most weekends. Unfortunately my current flat does not allow pets, but I am more than happy to stay away and work any around pet sitting opportunities I have!

“Clarrisa did a fantastic job looking after my cat while I was away. Communication was prompt and clear throughout which put my mind at ease. On the visit I recieved a detailed report, including photos from Clarissa of how my cat was and the important playtime she had. Thank you Clarissa for looking after my little baby!”

“Rhea is nice person, animals lover, very reliable, respect our property and Maxi our cat loves her. She was looking after Maxi with love and care. Thank you Rhea and we will be in touch for next booking! Maxi, Ilona and Dave xxxx”

About: My brother has a beautiful chow that I watch regularly. I’m very active and would love to have a companion (whether just a walk or a sleepover). I appreciate that each dog will have their own unique personalities and needs, and I’m happy to work around that. I walk each morning and evening, so I’m really interested in walking/boarding dogs. Please get in touch if you need support! My house has a fenced garden, nearby parks (< 2min), and room for them to relax. I don’t own a pet currently but watch dogs regularly x I mainly work from home so looking after pups fits in well with my weekly routine. With enough notice I can work from home which allows me to care for dogs during the working week. I’m vigilant, caring and enjoy spending time with dogs. I am happy to meet up before the booking, particularly if a dog is staying with me, so they can familiarise themselves with the space.

“Lucy has been our regular dog walker and sitter for a couple of months. Our dog is not the easiest and can be a handful but Lucy understands her and they are building up a great relationship. Lucy is always on time great at communicating and is reliable.”

About: I have always had pets growing up and adore all animals. I regularly look after friends and family’s pets and give lots of cuddles, walks often feed them when needed. I currently work part time so I am free on Wednesday afternoons, all day on Friday’s, Saturday’s and Sundays. I have my own dog who is super friendly. I have a garden which is fenced. I have a full DBS. I am extremely trustworthy. I am very confident to walk dogs on and off leads.

About: I have had pets my whole life. A couple of years ago we got our first dog and as a first time dog mum of a hunting breed, I have had the privilege of learning a lot of interesting quirks about hunting breeds. I am happy to take dogs for walks, pick up dog poop, & accommodate training needs once directed. I am normally available evenings (depending on location) and weekends. I am good at being as flexible as I can be and please don’t hesitate to ask if you’d like to try something! My dog comes with me to lewes during the week and he stays at a friend’s house while I work. On our morning walks we do our training and in the afternoon we do either sniffing walks or more training- depends on the day. Our cats stay at home and due to our location, can roam freely during the day. Our evening routine involves a lot pampering & attention. I am happy to follow all routines of the owner to the best of my abilities. I can crate dogs in their own home and take them for walks at the same times as required. I can accommodate multiple dietary guidelines as needed.

About: I have my own dog a 3yr old English Springer Spaniel. I’ve looked after family & friends dogs and was brought up with dogs as a child. Since having my Spaniel I have learnt so much more about dogs & enjoy the company of them, teaching them life skills to be able to cope better in the outside world, I would be able to help others be it lead walking or recall. I’m in the process of undertaking a mentorship in dog training, this has helped in so many ways to be able to help with your dog. Or if you just require a doggy daycare so your dog has company while you’re at work. I’m available in the weekdays for doggy daycare and also for solo & structured walks. Let me know your needs and we can discuss further. I would care for the pets at their pets at my home as long as they are crate trained as I have children as well.

Marianne N.
“Apart from being an all round lovely, and reliable human, Marianne has been brilliant with all our dogs, who she has walked for many years, and looked after wonderfully while we have been on holiday (we got the feeling they were a little bit disappointed when we came back....). She had a super soft spot for Chip, our old, super shy rescue spaniel, who was frightened of her own shadow when we adopted her, but adored Marianne. However, Marianne is equally happy and capable walking our big, strong, enthusiastic Bernese Mountain dogs, and our (very) energetic young cocker spaniel. Marianne loves being outdoors, and is never deterred by the weather and (like our spaniel) seems particularly happy to head out on a long, wet, muddy walk....”

Chuck L.
“I have known Chuck for many years. He has been a dog owner 10 plus years. He a wonderful dog owner and dog caretaker. Highly recommend Chuck for pet care.”

“Right from the start, Shannon treated my kitty like her own, making sure he was not just okay, but really thriving and happy while I was away. Shannon isn't just about doing the basics; she truly goes the extra mile for all the pets she looks after. I've seen it myself – she showers them with so much love, care, and attention, it's like they're part of her own family. Shannon is not only super reliable and great at keeping in touch, but her love for animals shines through in everything she does. She's been more than just a pet sitter; she's been a dear friend to me and my furry buddy. A huge thanks to Shannon for everything! If you're looking for someone to care for your pet as much as you do, she's your go-to!”

heidi s.
“Beyond grateful that we found Heidi, I don’t trust many people with my dog considering she’s a Rottweiler but Heidi’s amazing with her and very knowledgeable. She has always listened to my requests on her care and continues to upkeep the training we do. She has helped with recommending loose lead walking tips too which have been a game changer for us.”
