About: Hello, I'm Emma I live in the Howardian Hills, just by Castle Howard, and when you go away, I come and stay in your home with your pet. Not quick visits, I'm there for the whole stay. I work part-time from home, so your pet has company throughout the day as well as overnight. This means walks, meals and medication are all kept in their routine, essential for anxious dogs. Same bed, same garden, same walk at the same time each day. I look after your home as carefully as your pet and leave it as I found it. You'll get photos and updates of your pet whilst you are away so you're not wondering. Rosie's Way is named after my own dog, Rosie. She taught me most of what I know about patience, companionship and paying proper attention to a dog's needs and after she passed away, I wanted to find a way to spend time around dogs again without rushing into another dog of my own before I'm ready. I'm a qualified work-from-home online therapist by profession, which means a lot of my working life is built around trust, confidentiality and paying close attention, qualities that carry over directly into caring for someone's pet in their own home. I treat every stay with the same care and discretion I'd want if it were my own home and pet. I'm a qualified work-from-home online, which means I can work anywhere with an internet connection. I typically work 2 to 3 hours a day online from home during the day and your pet would keep me company. DBS-Checked You can feel confident about who is in your home and who holds a key to your home. Day Cover In Your Home I am there throughout the day, not just overnight. Personal You will always deal with me. I take time to get to know your pet's routine before I start. Insured I am insured through Cliverton, a specialist pet care insurer, covering both public liability and your pet while in my care. Experience A mature, reliable pair of hands. I have been around dogs all my life. What I don't offer: I do not take pets to stay overnight at my own home. That's a different, licensed activity (home boarding) under a separate council licence, which I don't hold. Everything I offer takes place at your home, where your pet is most comfortable.

“Ruth was friendly, thorough, approachable and very kind and caring with our two Shih Tzu dogs, she looked after them in our home for a long weekend and nothing was too much trouble. Both dogs loved her and her enthusiasm. She ensured that they had a good daily walk with some time to enjoy grassy areas too, and ensured that they ate a varied diet, even though it meant her having to chop up fruit and vegetables to add to sliced meat. The dogs were relaxed in her company and both looked clean, brushed and happy upon our return. We received daily updates and photos on what our pups had been up to during the day, including food, exercise and playing with toys. Our home was well looked after and respected. About: I grew up looking after fantail doves, and since becoming a business owner and digital nomad in 2024, I've loved petsitting for many animals across the world. From dogs to cats to goats to goldfish, I've loved learning who they are, supporting them in their homes and having a fun & rewarding time with them in the process! I have experience with animals of all ages including week old puppies, senior dogs and cats. I work remotely in my own business, which allows me to live flexibly and support your pets with the routine and life they're used to whilst you're away. I enjoy settling into homes, caring for pets as part of my daily rhythm, and experiencing new people and places. * I'm DBS checked and insured I've loved petsitting for many animals in their homes across the world.
