About: Throughout my childhood into my adult years, my family has looked after dogs for neighbours, friends, collegues and more. It was a wonderful experience. Going into my teenage years the tasks of walking, feeding, bathing and playing were put onto me and my brothers. I have looked after a range of dogs in size and age, from puppies to seniors and from a Daschund to a Great Dane/Labrador mix. I also have experience giving medicine to those who need it. I adore being around animals, and would love to make sure that your dog has a fantastic, fun time filled with playing and cuddles. I love walking, and would enjoy long walks in interesting and enriching places. I’m currently a university student and I have just finished a year abroad in France and Argentina. I will be at home with my family for the summer so I have plenty of time to look after your dogs. I am available for walks after 11am every day. I have a securely fenced back garden. I am also able to crate your dog if necessary or if you would prefer me to do so. I am very focused on ensuring the safety of your pet, and I will have my attention on them at all times.

About: I have always grown up around cats and dogs, and love caring for my own animals and looking after them for my friends and family. More recently, I have been trained in cat and dog behaviour and puppy socialisation. I will be considerate of your pet’s need (e.g those anxious of other animals, elderly pets, or pets with allergies), and listen carefully to any instructions. If repeat care is required, I will strive to ensure varied stimulating activities for your pet. I am currently working part-time Monday-Friday, so have lunch time and evening availability every day. Please contact me if you need a walk or drop in at other times, and I will do my best to accommodate! I am usually available on weekends, so please don’t hesitate to check my availability. I am trained in pet behaviour, and have extensive experience in looking after pets, including puppies. Please contact me to discuss any concerns before booking. Please note, for dog walks, I require your pet to wear a name tag which complies with UK legislation.

About: I've been sitting both dogs and cats on Rover since 2022. As an experienced Rover pet sitter, I always prefer a meet up beforehand as I understand having a new person look after your pets might feel odd at first, but rest assured I've never had a bad experience! During the sitting, I will send daily updates and I'm happy to make these as frequent as possible. If you have any specific concerns, please let me know as I am happy to pay extra attention to make your pet most comfortable whilst I look after he/she/them. As a person I am warm, friendly and very caring. I enjoy keeping fit and being creative. I work remotely Mon-Thurs so have the flexibility to easily care for pets and put them first during the majority of the week and over Friday and the weekend I'm completely free to give them my undivided attention, lot's of love and care. I prefer to home sit so that pets are familiar with their own environment. It can be disturbing when a pet owner leaves but I have plenty experience making sure it's as smooth as possible. Many dogs and cats I've looked after were pandemic pets and have increased anxiety.

About: I have been around working dogs since I was a child. When I was younger I had the ambition of being a veterinary surgeon and so had to gain animal experience to apply for the course. This included farm work, doing multiple weeks at 2 vet's practices and over a year and a half dog walking for the RSPCA. Since moving to Harrogate many years ago, I have walked and looked after 30 + dogs in the area; including house-sitting and drop-in visits. My job requires me to have a current DBS check in place. I am confident with big dogs as well as small ones and would happily meet beforehand to hopefully put your mind at ease. I am free on weekends all day, although do visit family etc on these days but not on a regular basis. I mostly work from home (usual office hours). I can walk the dog before and after work, combined with play and scent work during the day. Usually, if I were lucky enough to look after your dog, this would involve lots of outdoor exercise (providing the dog is able to). I live very close to the Stray in Harrogate, so if needed it would not be far to quickly bring him or her home briefly for a drink or rest. However, I do drive so would be comfortable walking / looking after wherever your home is. Rover now encourages you now to message more than one person, this is a new feature and it isn't necessary, as I do reply quickly. I take great pride in my reviews and the service I offer. I have so much dog-handling experience and lots of common sense!

About: Hi! We’re a pet-loving couple based in Harrogate with years of experience caring for dogs of all shapes and sizes. We’re proud pet parents to Everett, our miniature labradoodle, and we know just how important it is to find someone you trust with your furry family member. We both work from home most of the time, which means your dog will get plenty of attention, cuddles, and companionship throughout the day. Our home is right next to a beautiful green space with easy access to nature walks - perfect for dogs who love to explore. We’ve gone through puppy training with Everett, so we’re confident in handling everything from basic obedience to keeping your dog calm and engaged in a new environment. And since there are two of us, your dog will always have someone nearby for playtime, snuggles, or just a reassuring presence. We treat every dog like our own - with love, patience, and lots of tail wags. Our flexible work schedules allow us to adjust our days around your dog’s needs. Since our own pup, Everett, has a bit of separation anxiety, one of us is always home - so your dog will never be left alone for long. We’re typically available most days, and we keep our Rover calendar up to date to reflect any trips or time away. You can count on us to be present, attentive, and responsive to your pet’s routine. For daycare and boarding, we provide extra beds, toys, and games to help your dog feel comfortable and entertained. If needed, we can fully dog-proof the house by putting away slippers, clearing coffee tables, and closing curtains for dogs that are sensitive to outside distractions. Our Labradoodle, Everett, will be a friendly companion for your dog throughout their stay. During longer visits, and with your approval, we may take your dog on extended nature walks in the nearby green spaces to keep them active and engaged.

About: Hi, I’m Emily! I’m a proud dog parent to Lando, our wonderful spaniel, who has taught me so much about the joys (and challenges!) of training, patience, and building a special bond with a pet. Though Lando is my first dog, I’ve grown up around a variety of breeds and personalities, giving me a broad understanding of different dog needs and temperaments. I know how important it is to find a caretaker you can trust, and I bring that same dedication to each pet in my care. With Lando, I’ve spent countless hours working on training, building routines, and creating a loving, structured environment. This experience has helped me develop the skills and patience needed for dogs of all ages and personalities, whether it’s ensuring a safe, playful boarding experience, providing dependable walks, or simply popping in to check on them. I offer a range of services, including: • Boarding: Your dog will enjoy a safe, home-like environment. • Dog Walking: Regular, engaging walks tailored to their energy level. • Day Care: A day filled with companionship, play, and routine. • Pop-ins: Quick visits to make sure your pet is happy, fed, and loved. If you’re looking for a caring, committed sitter, I’d love to chat and see how I can help you and your pet. I’m excited to bring the same level of attention and love that Lando gets to each dog I meet. Looking forward to making some new furry friends in the neighbourhood! As a full-time remote worker, I have the flexibility to be present for your pet throughout the day. Working from home allows me to provide regular companionship, quick toilet breaks, and plenty of attention while ensuring that pets in my care feel comfortable and attended to. My schedule allows me to easily incorporate walks, playtime, and check-ins, so your pet will never feel alone or bored. Whether it’s day care, boarding, or scheduled walks, I’m able to provide a stable, caring environment that fits seamlessly into my work-from-home routine. In my home, I strive to create a safe, comfortable, and fun environment for all pets. For boarding and day care, pets can have designated spaces to relax, play, and feel at ease. I make sure to keep a balanced routine of playtime, training, and rest, similar to the structure I use with my own dog, Lando. With flexible breaks throughout the day, I’m able to provide walks, potty breaks, and plenty of attention, making sure pets stay happy and engaged.

About: I have grown up around dogs since the age of 10. With 2 family cocker spaniels I am used to the craziness that having a dog brings to a household. I no longer live with my family dogs and miss being around them. I have experience with elderly dogs, one of my family dogs died this year at the age of 14 and she needed full time cars for months. We had a litter of puppies when I was younger, so I am experienced with younger dogs as well. I graduated from university 2 years ago and now work from home almost full time (I tend to go into the office once a week, but this is flexible). I would care for your dogs in the same manner you would. Whatever they need I am able to provide. I understand all dogs are different. I love long walks and they can accompany me daily.

About: Our family has always loved dogs and we've had them in our lives for as long as we can remember. We’re experienced in caring for dogs of all ages and often look after friends' and neighbors' pets while at home. We’re comfortable with training puppies and also enjoy giving extra love and attention to senior dogs. Currently working from home therefore am available to look after and walk a dog as and when needed. Same day walk requests and doggy day care are welcome :) We currently have an 8 year old male cockapoo who is calm, friendly and good with other dogs. On top of walks we have a big garden which is fenced all around giving lots of safe exercise and play space! When in Liverpool we have no pets and am working from home so free to spend as much time walking & playing!

About: With a childhood spent on a lively dairy farm in New Zealand, my passion for pet care was cultivated from a young age. I was 8 years old when I got my first puppy Winky (a one-eyed Corgi/Cocker Spaniel, she was born with an ulcerated eye, we had an immediate bond and I wanted to care for her straight away) we grew up together and she was my ultimate BFF! Surrounded by the companionship of dogs and cats on the farm (plus a few chickens and pet calves which I showed annually at the school Calf Club Show!). I love animals, taking care of them, spending time and playing with them – I have a love for all creatures great and small. Today, I share a home with Shadow, our 14 yr old black cat who is a much-loved member of our family and can generally be found snoozing the day away! With years of hands-on experience and a passion for pet care, I bring that same warmth and dedication to ensuring your pet receive the love and attention they deserve! I work from home with flexible hours and can fit into your schedule. I am active and love to take long walks around Harrogate and surrounding area. I have a large, fenced outdoor area with plenty of space to run about when we are at home if needed. Short walking distance from local parks when we really need to take a good run about.

Unfortunately I had to cancel the arrangement through unforeseen circumstances but will definitely rebook.

Rover now encourages you now to message more than one person, this is a new feature and it isn't necessary, as I do reply quickly. I take great pride in my reviews and the service I offer. I have so much dog-handling experience and lots of common sense!

Denas has raised his puppy Everett with so much love, care and kindness that I have no doubts that he will look after anyone’s dog with the same level of love, care and kindness. Denas has a dog-friendly house with an enclosed garden, as well as plenty of green space within close walking distance.

Thanks again Steve for walking Rosie. We loved the videos. She seemed to be having a great time with you both and with Lexi.

Emily has looked after our dog Fozzie several times, and each time we always come home to a super happy and well cared for pup. She’s incredibly reliable, always sending us updates and photos so we can see how Fozzie is doing and gives us complete peace of mind whilst we are away. We highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a fab dog sitter!

I have a pug Jack who is a precious part of my life since my husband passed away. Vanja is the most wonderful caring lady. She and her family are trustworthy ,fun and have made me feel relaxed when away from home. I now have someone who cares as much about Jack as I do. I could not recommend her highly enough . Jack agrees :)

I arranged for Roberta to look after my dog, she came round to meet Ernie ahead of the walk and take him on a little walk with me, She was lovely with Ernie and took on board all the care instructions , I felt completely comfortable leaving Ernie in her care . Unfortunately I had to cancel the arrangement through unforeseen circumstances but will definitely rebook.

I can highly recommend Ilona as a dog sitter/dog boarder. We have used Ilona on multiple occasions and always found her helpful. She follows the instructions you leave her with and she also keeps you updated with messages & pictures throughout the stay and I find that super helpful as it puts my mind at rest seeing my dog being happy with other people while we are away.
