About: I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. I’ve also built up experience through TrustedHousesitters, looking after pets in their own homes and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m very happy to provide references from my TrustedHousesitters stays if you’d like to hear about my experience from previous pet owners. Now that I’m back in the UK and settled in York, I’d love to continue doing what I enjoy and help care for your pets. While I’m not currently able to have a dog of my own, this gives me the perfect opportunity to enjoy plenty of walks, playtime and cuddles with yours! I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own, taking the time to understand their individual personalities, routines and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks and adventures, a good game of fetch, or simply curling up on the sofa for some company, I’m here to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to leave your pet in someone you can trust, and I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind while they’re in my care. I’m primarily available for house-sitting and dog walks at weekends, as I work full-time during the week. Depending on the location, I may also be able to offer midday dog walks during the week, so please feel free to get in touch and I can see what might work. I’d also be happy to consider boarding, although as I live in a flat, this would depend on the size, temperament and individual needs of your pet. I’m always happy to have a chat beforehand to make sure I can provide a comfortable and suitable environment for them. I live in a flat in the city centre, and although I don’t have a garden, I’m a very outdoorsy person and love getting out for walks. I’m often down by the river exploring the local area, usually with a coffee stop at one of the many lovely cafés along the way — so there’s no shortage of opportunities for walks and adventures! When house-sitting, I’m very happy to follow your usual routines and instructions closely. I know every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for while you’re away.

This was Tilly's first stay with Nicola and was just for 1 night but she is going back next week for a longer holiday and we know now that she will be so well looked after. She has already made a new friend with the youngest of Nicola's dogs and Nicola has also got lots of activities planned for them. The communication has been superb with lovely messages describing what Tilly was doing, complete with great photos which all gave us peace of mind. “Maddie was super patient with our 3 month old puppy, Haribo. This was a booking made on extremely short notice due to a last minute cancellation by another sitter, and so we were extremely lucky that Maddie agreed to take him in for 2 nights. Moreover, she took the time to meet him before the booking and immediately put my and my husband's minds at ease. Haribo was definitely well-taken care of. She was very keen on sticking to his routines, was very caring and affectionate towards him. She took him to the dog park, watched Bluey with him, snuggled with him on the sofa, and took him out regularly. He had accidents but Maddie was so understanding about everything. Haribo def had the time of his life and is a happy pup 😍 we have requested another booking with her because she's amazing!”

About: I have always been surrounded by dogs growing up and since working remotely have looked after multiple family’s and friends dogs over short and long periods of time. Working fully remotely with a flexible schedule allows me to keep any animal company whenever needed and provide them with leisurely or long walks and lots of attention. In a home setting, I ensure a comfortable environment for pets, attending to their needs with regular feeding, playtime, and walks. For pet owners' homes, I adapt to their routine, maintaining a consistent care schedule, and providing personalised attention to the pets based on the owner's preferences.

“Daisy had a wonderful weekend with Katie and Callie! It was our first time using Rover and the first time Daisy had spent a night in someone else's home, Katie was great at helping Daisy to settle, kept Daisy busy and kept me up to date through the weekend. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since been born and looked after different species of dogs and cats since they were young. I’ve helped train and teach them on what to do. I’ve helped more in the past few years with been older and sitting my families animals when they are away I am currently at uni where I’m there 2 days a week but varies all the time, and I also work part time at a pharmacy which I am changing my hours soon to fit around university. I have a fenced off garden space which is fine to allow dogs in for the toilet. There is a big downstairs space which is enough to allow the animals in and run about and sleep.

About: I’ve taken care of numerous dogs, aging from pups to seniors. I have maintained training programmes, as well as managing nervous and aggressive dogs. My experience in care work means I am exceptionally attentive and empathetic. I have a flexible schedule as a student. I am looking for part time work, and I am happy to work around pet owners requirements. My approach differs between cats and dogs. Cats: I keep a calm, quiet environment with no loud noises or surprises. I like to give the cat the space it deserves, and allow it to approach me when ready for cuddles or playing. Dogs: My fenced garden means easy access to outside. Lots of playing, goofing around and mental stimulation.

“Bramble had the best time with Georgia and Luke over the weekend. She enjoyed plenty of exercise, followed by lots of snoozing and cuddles. When I came to collect her, it was obvious she'd had an amazing stay-she was so settled and content that she didn't want to leave the garden where she'd made herself comfortable for the afternoon. It's always reassuring to know your dog has been so well looked after and had such a wonderful time.”
