About: Hey, I’m Frances, a York/Selby local! I’ve grown up having many pets – dogs, birds and guinea pigs. ☀️ Being around animals has always felt natural to me. Throughout my life, I’ve lived in a home that has always had dogs, including many Boxers, so my love for dogs grew from there. We adopted Isla, a 10-year-old White Boxer, who still has lots of energy! She’s a strong, energetic girl who requires longer walks and a solid routine, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs with plenty of energy and personality. I’m the main person who will be caring for your dog, and I’ll sometimes be accompanied by my partner, Charlie. Charlie has also grown up around dogs and has lots of experience with them. He’s naturally very good with animals and, like me, absolutely loves getting out for long walks. We both enjoy quiet, chilled weekends and spending time outdoors, so having a dog to join us on walks and relax with is something we genuinely love. 🐾 Clear communication is really important to me. I’ll always respect your instructions around training, routines and care, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and little check-ins so you know your dog is happy and settled. 🐶 I attend dance classes 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4pm and 8pm, so I've got plenty of time to spare for your dogs during the day. I’m happy to care for dogs in their own home and will always make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after. I love taking dogs on walks and exploring different routes, parks and green spaces so they can get plenty of exercise and enjoy lots of new smells. I’ll follow their usual routine, give them plenty of attention and make sure they’re happy and settled before I leave.

About: Having over 25 years of experience looking after and owning dogs, dog walking for senior clients and dogs would never be a problem, same with puppies. Also have 4 years of pet shop experience so I’ve seen and heard it all. I’m fully available during the week and weekends between 6am to 10pm. But more than willing to discuss what’s needed for your pet care if it falls outside those hours. Safety and respect is crucial when being in other people’s homes. How ever you would like things done is exactly how it will be done.

About: I work in education, have a current DBS, and live with my husband and children. We have previously had an indoor cat and have used the cat in a flat service before when we were away. We felt it was just as good as a cattery, and he had his own space and was calmer being at home. I have recently started to find opportunities to volunteer and work with cats which I am thoroughly enjoying.

About: I have had dog all my life. At the moment I currently have 4 dogs. I also helped out in kennels in Tenerife last year. I am full time. Limited availability on Wednesday and Thursdays as I am at university but this can be done online if I am pet sitting. I will come round for a meet and greet to make sure me and your fur baby get along great. I also take veterinary details in case of an emergency. I will keep doors, gates, windows secure. I will be round all hours to make sure they are happy and looked after.

About: Hi! Thank you for considering me to care for your pets - I know how important they are! I’m a huge animal lover but unfortunately cannot have pets of my own right now. Therefore, petsitting/dog-walking allows me to care for animals and help out others. :-) Currently, I live just off Fulford Road right outside the city walls in a spacious three-bedroom terraced house, with an enclosed back garden. We do allow pets on our furniture, as long as that’s acceptable to their owners! I do have a full-time job, but I work from home which gives me plenty of flexibility. I can also spend all my time with your pet, which is especially helpful for ones that have a hard time being away from their owner. My husband and I are also very active and will happily take active pets out for multiple walks a day! Throughout my life, I have had a variety of pets, including dogs, cats, rabbits, rats, sugar gliders, and guinea pigs. I’ve been a dog-sitter for others (including many in the U.S.), with many repeat pets! I’m open to providing a variety of services, including day visits, walks, boarding, and more. I have experience with puppies and kittens, up through pets that are older. My care can be tailored to suit your needs, including special requests and medications. About: As a lifelong animal lover I started caring for dogs at age 15 when a new neighbour moved in with a beautiful black staffy. Since then I've taken any opportunity I can to walk and care for dogs. Through travel I've had the opportunity to look after dogs in various places and enjoy the companionship and home like feel that furry friends offer. About: I have had pets since I was 10 years old. I have had cats, dogs and kittens and also rabbits. I have experience looking after people’s kittens/cats/senior cats and also puppies/adult dogs and senior dogs. I have medication administration experience as our old senior cat had medical conditions which required medication. I love looking after furbabies to ensure their individual needs are being met taking into consideration their different personalities. I currently work a 9-5 job Monday to Friday but I am free evenings and over the weekend. Over the weekend I am more flexible to look after pets in my own home, take them for walks and do drop in sessions. I can also offer dog walking/ drop in sessions in the evening after work hours. I have a fenced backyard for your furbaby and I am a 5 minute walk away from a field. I am available to meet up prior to a sit/walk or drop in so I am able to meet you and your furbaby so you can assess who is going to look after your family member.

About: I’ve recently lost my beloved 13 year old dog and I would like to keep up with dog walking and dog cuddles. I have 2 granddogs that I look after regularly. I am retired so have lots of time available. I live in a quiet village setting with nice off road walks and open spaces and dog paths. I have a fenced large garden. I have plenty of indoor space with no other pets or children. I am able to crate dogs or not if required.

About: Hi, I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and I’ve come back from university for a long holiday break and would love to welcome your dog into my family’s home to stay. I’m also available for dog walking and day care. We can offer a fenced and safe garden, comfortable sofa and plenty of time for cuddles, company, walks and playtime to all the dogs that stay with us. Our home is very dog friendly and full of treats and toys. We live local to the river and multiple green spaces for a variety of walks. Our family dog, Willow, is 5 years old, she’s an independent miniature poodle. I am happy to arrange a meet and greet before any booking if you would like to see how your dog gets on. I can also easily accommodate separate walks for your dog if you prefer. I want to make your pet feel like this is their home from home so if they have any special requests to make them feel comfortable then please feel free to ask 😁 I’m back from university so I’m available most days, including weekends. I will also be taking care of my own dog when my parents are at work, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I can easily accommodate a dog crate, if your dog is happiest sleeping there. I have a medium-sized fenced garden and live close to Bootham park and the river for nice walks. Your dog is welcome on the sofa and my priority is making them welcome and comfortable.

About: I have 3 years of experience working as a kennel assistant in a veterinary practice, caring for patients and cleaning out their kennels. I regularly fed, cleaned, gave medication and walked the pets in the practice. I also helped nurses to administer injections, and help with newborn animals and end-of-life care. I grew up with cats, dogs, budgies and Guinea pigs, and both parents were vets so we regularly had overnight patients staying with us. I have more recently lived with flatmates and co-cared for their pets such as cats and dogs. I have dog- and cat-sat informally for friends and family. I work full-time in a remote position for a sustainability initiative and have time to look after your lovely pets between 6-9am, between 12-2pm (depending on meetings) and after 6pm on weekdays. On occasion, I have to be in the office in London, or on work trips abroad which can reduce my regular availability. I live in a flat with a flatmate who is also a cat and dog lover, and can on occasion host pets there. To note, while I try to keep my availability up-to-date, the nature of my work and personal life (I am a primary carer for a cancer patient) can sometimes affect my availability, although I try to keep a consistent schedule. I live in a raised ground-floor flat near some wonderful green spaces for walking your dog. I live with a flatmate who is also a cat and dog lover, and we both grew up surrounding by large and small animals. Our home is down a cul-de-sac with little traffic, and is a generally peaceful place without much noise. Our neighbours have a dog who is very well-behaved, and pets are allowed in our building, however we do not have our own pets, nor any equipment that goes alongside that! So we would hugely appreciate it if you can bring your own bowls/beds with you when requesting overnight or daytime stays :)

About: Hi! My name is Meg. I’ve had pets of my own for over 20 years. I have been pet-sitting since I was 12 with a ton of different animals - dogs, cats, gerbils/ hamsters, bunnies, lizards, etc. In the past several years I have cared for my cat with chronic kidney disease and my older dog with arthritis, so I am knowledgeable on senior care & medication management. I am very flexible. I have a part time job outside of this with a schedule I can rearrange so I am available basically 7 days a week. I make sure fresh water, food (when mealtimes or as needed), a cosy spot to chill out, and company are always available. I have experience with anxious dogs and know how much a loved toy or treat can help.
