The best care for your best friend!
Hi I'm Sydney, I've always had a love of animals and have experience in keeping fish, guinea pigs, hamsters, cats and of course dogs. I fully understand the difference in needs between all different breeds, sizes, ages and temperaments of dogs and aim to give them all patience, kindness and tailor their care to suit them perfectly. I have a Jack Russell who I primarily care for and take for walks twice a day averaging at around 4 miles or more so would be happy to take larger dogs for long walks if they need that. With having raised my dog from puppyhood, I'm well versed with puppy habits and training and have become especially good with administering various medications (which can help care for older dogs too) and I recognise the extra care needed to ensure nothing gets eaten that shouldn't be. I've got experience with looking after friends and family's dogs for them as well as taking my dog out with them so I am able to walk multiple dogs at once if needed.

As someone who is very attached to my fur baby, I know how hard it can be putting them in someone else's care so I will send photo updates throughout the course of the walk/dog sitting to give you peace of mind. I will aim to get to know your dog and what they need beforehand (if they are timid, excitable, scared of loud noises, buses etc) to make sure they receive the best care I can possibly give them, are safe at all times and I will change walking routes to suit them. I am available to do drop in visits and dog sitting but unfortunately not in my own home as I'm currently living in university residence.

Sydney is an absolute dream of a person/dog walker. We've had our dog for less than 2 months and he has severe separation anxiety. He is currently on a couple of meds but still struggles. Sydney came to meet him before starting the walks and he loved her from minute one. She currently walks Stitch twice a week every week and she is not only reliable but kind and gentle with him and his anxiety. If he has any accidents in the house, she also cleans them up, which is very kind of her, so he has a clean space until we get home. Stitch loves his walks with Sydney and is much more relaxed after spending some time with her, which helps massively with his anxiety. She also updates us regularly with how he was, how their walk went, and sends us pictures and videos. If you are in doubt of who is the best dog walker for your pooch, Sydney is your go-to person. Sydney is incredibly friendly, caring and reliable. We really appreciated that she came to visit us beforehand she could get to know Muffin. During her visit she shared photos/updates so we knew he was in very capable hands. She even left us a personalised note and sketch of Muffin in a Christmas card, such a thoughtful touch. We are really look forward to Sydney looking after Muffin again in the future!
Sydney is so patient and kind with our rescue dog Winnie who struggles to trust new people but she seems to have really bonded with Sydney and they go on lots of lovely walks together! Sydney is very responsive and punctual, would definitely recommend!
