About: I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. I’ve also built up experience through TrustedHousesitters, looking after pets in their own homes and making sure they feel safe, happy and well cared for while their owners are away. I’m very happy to provide references from my TrustedHousesitters stays if you’d like to hear about my experience from previous pet owners. Now that I’m back in the UK and settled in York, I’d love to continue doing what I enjoy and help care for your pets. While I’m not currently able to have a dog of my own, this gives me the perfect opportunity to enjoy plenty of walks, playtime and cuddles with yours! I’ll always treat your pets as if they were my own, taking the time to understand their individual personalities, routines and needs. Whether your dog loves long walks and adventures, a good game of fetch, or simply curling up on the sofa for some company, I’m here to make sure they feel happy, comfortable and loved while you’re away. I know how important it is to leave your pet in someone you can trust, and I’ll do everything I can to give you peace of mind while they’re in my care. I’m primarily available for house-sitting and dog walks at weekends, as I work full-time during the week. Depending on the location, I may also be able to offer midday dog walks during the week, so please feel free to get in touch and I can see what might work. I’d also be happy to consider boarding, although as I live in a flat, this would depend on the size, temperament and individual needs of your pet. I’m always happy to have a chat beforehand to make sure I can provide a comfortable and suitable environment for them. I live in a flat in the city centre, and although I don’t have a garden, I’m a very outdoorsy person and love getting out for walks. I’m often down by the river exploring the local area, usually with a coffee stop at one of the many lovely cafés along the way — so there’s no shortage of opportunities for walks and adventures! When house-sitting, I’m very happy to follow your usual routines and instructions closely. I know every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for while you’re away.

About: Hi, I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and I’ve come back from university for a long holiday break and would love to welcome your dog into my family’s home to stay. I’m also available for dog walking and day care. We can offer a fenced and safe garden, comfortable sofa and plenty of time for cuddles, company, walks and playtime to all the dogs that stay with us. Our home is very dog friendly and full of treats and toys. We live local to the river and multiple green spaces for a variety of walks. Our family dog, Willow, is 5 years old, she’s an independent miniature poodle. I am happy to arrange a meet and greet before any booking if you would like to see how your dog gets on. I can also easily accommodate separate walks for your dog if you prefer. I want to make your pet feel like this is their home from home so if they have any special requests to make them feel comfortable then please feel free to ask 😁 I’m back from university so I’m available most days, including weekends. I will also be taking care of my own dog when my parents are at work, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I can easily accommodate a dog crate, if your dog is happiest sleeping there. I have a medium-sized fenced garden and live close to Bootham park and the river for nice walks. Your dog is welcome on the sofa and my priority is making them welcome and comfortable.

About: I absolutely love animals and have been a dog owner myself for 4 years, starting with the adoption of our greyhound Wren. He is currently 9 years old and lives with anxiety, autism, and brain damage. Caring for him and watching his confidence grow has been amazing. I also have a 3 year old malti-poo who we have raised since he was a puppy. He might be small in size, but he has a massive personality. Big and small. Old and young. Anxious and confident. They are polar opposites and this has allowed me to cover all bases when it comes to pet care. I also have experience cat sitting, which I started doing for my neighbors at 16 years old. My experience in caring for a variety of pet needs and my love for animals means you can rest easy knowing I will care for your pet as I do my own. I currently work part-time, on a rotating schedule, meaning I’m available for pet care four days a week or alternatively after 4pm on days I do have work. I take the time to get to know your pet’s individual personality, routine and needs, and I’m happy to follow their usual schedules. My dogs love sticking to their routine so I have no issues doing this. I can also follow any specific care instructions you provide, including medication if needed. My greyhound hates taking his daily medication so I’ve learnt how to be persuasive! I’ll keep you updated with regular messages and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is happy and well cared for. Most importantly, your pet will receive plenty of love, attention, care, and belly rubs!

About: Hey, I’m Frances, a York/Selby local! I’ve grown up having many pets – dogs, birds and guinea pigs. ☀️ Being around animals has always felt natural to me. Throughout my life, I’ve lived in a home that has always had dogs, including many Boxers, so my love for dogs grew from there. We adopted Isla, a 10-year-old White Boxer, who still has lots of energy! She’s a strong, energetic girl who requires longer walks and a solid routine, so I’m very comfortable caring for dogs with plenty of energy and personality. I’m the main person who will be caring for your dog, and I’ll sometimes be accompanied by my partner, Charlie. Charlie has also grown up around dogs and has lots of experience with them. He’s naturally very good with animals and, like me, absolutely loves getting out for long walks. We both enjoy quiet, chilled weekends and spending time outdoors, so having a dog to join us on walks and relax with is something we genuinely love. 🐾 Clear communication is really important to me. I’ll always respect your instructions around training, routines and care, and I’ll keep you updated with photos and little check-ins so you know your dog is happy and settled. 🐶 I attend dance classes 3 times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between 4pm and 8pm, so I've got plenty of time to spare for your dogs during the day. I’m happy to care for dogs in their own home and will always make sure they feel safe, comfortable and well looked after. I love taking dogs on walks and exploring different routes, parks and green spaces so they can get plenty of exercise and enjoy lots of new smells. About: I adore animals and grew up with dogs, mainly terriers and labs so caring for them is second nature to me. I’ve worked in many places that are dog friendly also. I absolutely adore pets and and can’t wait to know yours. I’ve got over 10 years experience living with and minding pets, mainly dogs and cats, from puppies to rescues. I’m an active outdoorsy person so can provide that adventure if needed but also know a calm and comforting environment with a cuddle is sometimes what’s needed. I work freelance so my schedule is variable and flexible. I keep my calendar as up to date as possible but just get in touch if you’re interested and we can chat! I live in a new build flat, accessed via stairs in York. It is spacious and airy and near many green spaces with lovely walks and not far from the river and gardens. About: I have had pets since I was 10 years old. I have had cats, dogs and kittens and also rabbits. I have experience looking after people’s kittens/cats/senior cats and also puppies/adult dogs and senior dogs. I have medication administration experience as our old senior cat had medical conditions which required medication. I love looking after furbabies to ensure their individual needs are being met taking into consideration their different personalities. I currently work a 9-5 job Monday to Friday but I am free evenings and over the weekend. Over the weekend I am more flexible to look after pets in my own home, take them for walks and do drop in sessions. I can also offer dog walking/ drop in sessions in the evening after work hours. I have a fenced backyard for your furbaby and I am a 5 minute walk away from a field. I am available to meet up prior to a sit/walk or drop in so I am able to meet you and your furbaby so you can assess who is going to look after your family member.
