Pet care experience

Caring & Qualified Dog Lover

What sets me apart is the balance of professional knowledge and genuine love I have for dogs. I completed a Level 3 Animal Care Diploma, where I studied dog behaviour, welfare, and puppy training, so I feel confident supporting young dogs as they learn and grow, as well as understanding each dog’s individual needs and body language. I’ve grown up with dogs all my life, and my Cockapoo back home is truly my best friend, which means I completely understand how important it is to trust someone with your pet. I’m currently an Interior Design student at university in York, which gives me a flexible schedule and a calm, responsible approach to everything I do. I will always care for your dog with patience, reliability, and lots of affection, just like I would my own.

We were really happy with how Alicia looked after our over excited and high energy puppy. He was so calm in the evening having spent the day with her! He got plenty of exercise and we got photos and updates through the day. Thank you!

Alicia looked after Winnie all day for me and I would highly recommend. She was easy to contact and kept me updated with pictures, reassuring me that Winnie was settling well.

I honestly couldn’t recommend Alicia enough. She always looks after my Chihuahua, Lolly, whenever I’m at work or away on holiday, and I trust her completely. She makes sure Lolly is walked, cuddled, and properly looked after, and she sends me daily updates and the cutest pictures which gives me so much peace of mind. Lolly absolutely loves her and gets so excited whenever she sees her, which just shows how caring and loving Alicia is. I’m so grateful to have someone so reliable and kind to look after my little girl! 💕

I would highly recommend Alicia as a responsible, trustworthy, and loving pet caregiver. She looks after my Cocker Spaniel, Buddy, whenever I go on holiday, and I always feel completely at ease knowing he is in her care. Alicia makes sure he is well exercised, happy, and comfortable, and she sends daily updates and photos which give me real peace of mind. It’s clear how much she genuinely cares for animals, and Buddy absolutely adores her. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to anyone looking for reliable and compassionate pet care.

Schedule

I’m currently a university student in York, with lectures on Mondays and Thursdays from 10am–5pm. Outside of those hours, I’m fully available and have a very flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, day care, and boarding. On lecture days, I’m still available before and after classes. Pet care fits naturally into my routine, and I make sure I only take bookings when I can give each dog the time, attention, and exercise they deserve.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my priority. My accommodation allows dogs, so I’m able to have them stay comfortably in my room with me while I study or work, meaning they won’t be left alone for long periods. I create a calm, clean, and secure environment and stick closely to your dog’s usual routine to help them feel settled. With my Level 3 Animal Care Diploma and knowledge of dog behaviour, I’m confident recognising body language, managing different temperaments, and ensuring every dog feels safe, relaxed, and well cared for. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos for reassurance.

A typical day

As a uni student, I spend a lot of time at home studying, which actually means your pet would get plenty of attention and company throughout the day. I love making time for play, whether that’s interactive toy sessions with cats, enrichment games, or keeping dogs mentally stimulated with play and affection.

Let me know if your pet has any particular behaviours I should take into account. Or if they can’t have specific food, toys ect. As well as certain breeds they may be wary of on walks! And I will take this into account. 💕
