About: Hi, I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and I’ve come back from university for a long holiday break and would love to welcome your dog into my family’s home to stay. I’m also available for dog walking and day care. We can offer a fenced and safe garden, comfortable sofa and plenty of time for cuddles, company, walks and playtime to all the dogs that stay with us. Our home is very dog friendly and full of treats and toys. We live local to the river and multiple green spaces for a variety of walks. Our family dog, Willow, is 5 years old, she’s an independent miniature poodle. I am happy to arrange a meet and greet before any booking if you would like to see how your dog gets on. I can also easily accommodate separate walks for your dog if you prefer. I want to make your pet feel like this is their home from home so if they have any special requests to make them feel comfortable then please feel free to ask 😁 I’m back from university so I’m available most days, including weekends. I will also be taking care of my own dog when my parents are at work, so I have plenty of time to spend with your dog. I can easily accommodate a dog crate, if your dog is happiest sleeping there. I have a medium-sized fenced garden and live close to Bootham park and the river for nice walks. Your dog is welcome on the sofa and my priority is making them welcome and comfortable.

About: I am a huge animal lover, have had dogs my whole life and currently have a 3 year old female Cockapoo who loves play dates. I also helped to care for my 2 elderly family dogs who had arthritis and hip dysplasia and needed daily medication. Having been through separation anxiety with my own dog, I know how important it is to get the best care for them, with someone you can trust. I guarantee to care for your dog as though they are my own and give them all the love and attention they need. I also know how expensive dog care can be so I aim to keep my rates low to help people with access to affordable and reliable care. I work from home so can be with your dog 24/7. I can walk them with my dog before and after work and they will have access to the garden all day. I have a completely enclosed garden and my dog Leni will keep your fur baby company. She loves to play but can also be very calm when needed and usually gets along with all dogs.

About: After being around dogs all my life, and seeming to be constantly walking the family dogs when I am at home, ever since being old enough to be trusted to (we have 3 dogs at the minute!), I have plenty of experience with dogs. I absolutely love dogs and their various personalities. I'm currently at university in York and looking to earn a little extra money whilst also filling the dog shaped hole whilst I'm away at uni, as we have always had a menagerie of pets at home. Please get in touch. I'm currently in first year at university, so I have plenty of time to spare particularly at weekends and especially when not studying or in lectures. About: I have several experiences of looking after cats and dogs. Both walking dogs, cat sitting where I have fed with and played with cats. I enjoy looking after pets and giving them enrichment I am free in the evenings and on Sunday and Mondays at the moment. So would be be able to fit it it around my schedule. I would help with feeding pets and follow clear instructions. I am more than happy to play and spend time with pets, clean up litter etc. I love walking dogs and playing fetch with them.

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. For the past decade, I’ve owned and cared for more specialized pets like ferrets, which has given me a deep understanding of patience, attentiveness, and individualized care. I especially love dogs and have experience training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs who need a little extra gentleness and support. From high-energy youngsters to calm, elderly companions, I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s unique personality and needs. No dog feels unfamiliar to me, and I treat every pet as if they were my own. I'm available most (if not all) days of the week currently and have plenty of time in my day to care for your loving pet. I'll care for your pet in your own home to your standards and instructions including play, treats, and meals. I can also care for them in my home, but have only a limited terraced garden space for them to play outside (my home is big for roaming, for more indoor inclined dogs).

This means I can be quite flexible with pet care, especially for longer stays. My weekends are completely free, so I’m available to give pets plenty of time, attention and company. I’m happy to work around their usual routine and make sure they feel comfortable and well cared for while you’re away. I’ll care for your pets in their own home, where they already feel safe and comfortable. I believe keeping their usual environment and routine can make a big difference while you’re away. About: Hi! I'm Hope, a medical student based in Milton Keynes who has always enjoyed being around animals. Growing up with two cats and a mini schnauzer, I know the importance of knowing your pet is in safe, competent hands with somebody you can trust when you are away, and I promise to deliver excellent care while giving you that peace of mind. Whether your pet needs a walk, daily care or just some company, I'd be happy to help while keeping you updated through the process. I have enjoyed previous dog walking and cat-sitting for family and friends, and I am eager to continue this through Rover. In term time I am a university student, however I do not have many contact hours so I am very flexible in what times and days I can provide care for your pet! I will follow the instructions for your individual pet and provide them with a calm presence when I take care of them while taking notice of their body language to assess what they need. Additionally, in the case of home visits I will ensure your house is locked and secure after I leave.

About: I’ve looked after friends and family’s pets since a very young age. Over this time, I have learnt that there is nothing more rewarding than gaining a connection with the animal you are caring for. I volunteer at animal shelters, working with teams to build my knowledge and experience with pets of all backgrounds, personalities and needs. This includes lots of dog walking, kennel cleaning, training and of course, playing! I also have a cat of my own who I rescued as a young kitten and have raised into my best friend. I always have and continue to absolutely adore being around animals! I am currently studying at university but have a lot of free time around any scheduled contact hours. Often I am only busy for 2-3 hours in the day and free on weekends. I offer a friendly, welcoming and gentle approach. I think quality time with animals is one of the most important aspects of being a sitter, ensuring they don’t feel the absence of their owners too much and aren’t lonely! He’s timely and always provides pictures with his updates, which I appreciate - it’s good to see a little snippet of my cats each day when I’m gone. My girls are messy and he’s very tidy with the cats, cleans the litter trays regularly, and uses the hoover to clean up any messes my cats have left behind. I’ve also forgotten to take out the bins/recycling before when I’ve been traveling. If he’s cat sitting, he always happy to take the bins to the curb. He’s incredibly reliable and my cats love him! About: I have had dogs my whole life and always been around dogs and loved them. I have just finished my year as the President of Dog Society at the University of York, bringing dogs to campus each week for students to meet and play with when they’re feeling homesick. I’ve got experience feeding, walking, washing and caring for a variety of sized dogs, from Miniature Dachshunds to Dalmatians and everything in between. I also have experience of giving dogs and cats pill based medication - even to pets that really hate them! My own dog loves to run off on walks so I’ve got plenty of experience with dogs who are escape artists so I’m well aware of all their tricks! I like to meet with you and your dog before hand to get to know you both and give you peace of mind when I look after them. I am at home in Sussex until end of August when I am then back in York full time I have just graduated from the University of York and now work Monday to Friday however I am flexible and am around on the weekends so have lots of time for looking after your dog. I am happy to look after your dog, just message me and we can sort a time that suits. I’m willing to become a regular helping hand for your dog. I am unable to care for pets in my own home at the moment due to renting my home however I am confident walking dogs and caring for them in your own home.

About: I have 3 years of experience working as a kennel assistant in a veterinary practice, caring for patients and cleaning out their kennels. I regularly fed, cleaned, gave medication and walked the pets in the practice. I also helped nurses to administer injections, and help with newborn animals and end-of-life care. I grew up with cats, dogs, budgies and Guinea pigs, and both parents were vets so we regularly had overnight patients staying with us. I have more recently lived with flatmates and co-cared for their pets such as cats and dogs. I have dog- and cat-sat informally for friends and family. I love animals and know how to care for them with compassion, love, and authority where needed. I work full-time in a remote position for a sustainability initiative and have time to look after your lovely pets between 6-9am, between 12-2pm (depending on meetings) and after 6pm on weekdays. On occasion, I have to be in the office in London, or on work trips abroad which can reduce my regular availability. I live in a flat with a flatmate who is also a cat and dog lover, and can on occasion host pets there. To note, while I try to keep my availability up-to-date, the nature of my work and personal life (I am a primary carer for a cancer patient) can sometimes affect my availability, although I try to keep a consistent schedule. I live in a raised ground-floor flat near some wonderful green spaces for walking your dog. I live with a flatmate who is also a cat and dog lover, and we both grew up surrounding by large and small animals. Our home is down a cul-de-sac with little traffic, and is a generally peaceful place without much noise. Our neighbours have a dog who is very well-behaved, and pets are allowed in our building, however we do not have our own pets, nor any equipment that goes alongside that! So we would hugely appreciate it if you can bring your own bowls/beds with you when requesting overnight or daytime stays :)

About: Experienced in having my own friend, a retired police dog (Springer SpanielxBoarder Collie) until his age of 15 for years. My family fosters rescue dogs from Romania, Kizzie (the one pictured) stayed with us for 3 months going from extremely scared of people to the most loving playful dog. Loving the outdoors myself, sharing it with dogs is something I really enjoy. Since traveling for work the last couple of years I was unable to have my own again. Now settling down I’m hoping to give other dogs the love and care until I’m ready for my own. A Reservist in the military, I’m looking for more full time work so currently have multiples days off at a time so flexibility is strong. Currently living with family who have an old dog so unable to care for other pets at the house. Able to walk/day service and overnight service at owners house if needs be

About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since been born and looked after different species of dogs and cats since they were young. I’ve helped train and teach them on what to do. I’ve helped more in the past few years with been older and sitting my families animals when they are away I am currently at uni where I’m there 2 days a week but varies all the time, and I also work part time at a pharmacy which I am changing my hours soon to fit around university. I have a fenced off garden space which is fine to allow dogs in for the toilet. There is a big downstairs space which is enough to allow the animals in and run about and sleep.
