My girls are messy and he’s very tidy with the cats, cleans the litter trays regularly, and uses the hoover to clean up any messes my cats have left behind. I’ve also forgotten to take out the bins/recycling before when I’ve been traveling. If he’s cat sitting, he always happy to take the bins to the curb. He’s incredibly reliable and my cats love him! About: I’ve taken care of numerous dogs, aging from pups to seniors. I have maintained training programmes, as well as managing nervous and aggressive dogs. About: From childhood, I have lived with dogs and cats of different breeds and ages. I work 1 hour a day in the morning and afternoon, term time only. The rest of the day I am free, as well as, weekends.I live with my husband and our home is calm and pet friendly. We have a secure back garden. We have lots of lovely walks on our doorstep and a safe, secure gated field nearby. Visiting grandchildren are 14 years plus. I would follow the owners wishes regarding the caring and exercising of their pet, making sure their pet feels happy and relaxed in our home, just as my own pets do. I would want the owner to feel reassured when leaving their pet and I would keep them updated throughout their stay. If your pet would enjoy the company of me and my pets, there is always room for them on our settee! I work one hour a day in the morning and afternoon, weekdays and term time only. I am free the rest of the time and at weekends. I have my own car for transporting pets. My home is calm and relaxed and dog friendly with a secure garden and lots of lovely walks on my doorstep. There is a secured gated field nearby. I can give your pets lots of fuss or leave them to rest and relax if they wish. I would ensure I followed the owner’s instructions and I would keep them updated. I would keep a good routine, with feeding, making sure their pets food is fresh in clean bowls with access to fresh water. I would exercise them to suit their needs. I am happy to bathe, brush, clean teeth if they allow but I do not clip nails. I would give medication according to owner’s instructions. I would ensure harnesses, leads are secure before leaving on a walk and car restraints are secured before transporting. Pets are allowed on our chairs and sofas and beds and I would like them to feel safe, relaxed and comfortable. I can crate if required. I would give positive praise and fussing, helping your pet to feel at home in our home!

About: I have my own cat and dog who I trained and looked after myself as a puppy. I was often left with my own animals alone as a child and I still am relied on to care for them to this day. I have also looked after friends’ pets. I love any cat or dog and am willing to learn any care for any extra support that may be needed . I am currently home from university and unoccupied. I love animals, and want my life to be full of them so any of my free time I can put into that is perfect. I am very careful to keep things tidy and organised, while catering to your pet’s comfort. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. For the past decade, I’ve owned and cared for more specialized pets like ferrets, which has given me a deep understanding of patience, attentiveness, and individualized care. About: Ever since a young age, i have taken care of all animals due to family and friends pets. My Grandmother, who had 7 dogs and 3 cats, taught me how to care for animals both stray and tamed from the age of a puppy to an elderly dog. This taught me many skills on how to care for animals, fulfilling not only their physical needs but emotional too. I am currently on the summer break with no jobs and no upcoming holidays trying to save for university and will therefore be free daily for anyone who needs any pet sitters or dog walkers. I currently only have a cat at the moment as my dog lives with my dad in Scotland, however, i can ensure your pet, whether thats a dog, cat or other, will be kept safe and entertained. As long as boundaries regarding the animal are understood beforehand they will be kept safe and secure.

About: Hi! I’m Max and I’m 22. I have grown up with dogs - from a yappy, moody Shih Tzu to two needy French Bulldogs and three dopey, dribbly Newfoundlands. My parents even have two Sulcata tortoises! My girlfriend and I moved to York together for University a few years ago and, having graduated, decided to stay here. We’re not currently in a position to have a dog of our own but I am very much missing having so many dogs in my life! I currently work from home as a freelance illustrator, meaning I’m happy to work completely around your schedule. Whether it’s long walks, constant attention or an oddly specific dinner time, you can rest assured that I will maintain your pups routine. As a freelance illustrator working from home, I’m able to cater completely to your pets needs, whether it be hourly wee breaks, lots of play time or long walks. I’m available to house-sit for under a week. My partner is just as excited about the prospect of meeting new pets so she may help with walks and come to give even more fuss and attention when she’s free (with the owner’s permission of course!) I will follow advice from the owner regarding any safety instructions, off-limits areas of the house, how much attention your pet likes & needs, and any recommended routes for walks.

About: I have had dogs my whole life and always been around dogs and loved them. I have just finished my year as the President of Dog Society at the University of York, bringing dogs to campus each week for students to meet and play with when they’re feeling homesick. I’ve got experience feeding, walking, washing and caring for a variety of sized dogs, from Miniature Dachshunds to Dalmatians and everything in between. I also have experience of giving dogs and cats pill based medication - even to pets that really hate them! My own dog loves to run off on walks so I’ve got plenty of experience with dogs who are escape artists so I’m well aware of all their tricks! I like to meet with you and your dog before hand to get to know you both and give you peace of mind when I look after them. I am at home in Sussex until end of August when I am then back in York full time I have just graduated from the University of York and now work Monday to Friday however I am flexible and am around on the weekends so have lots of time for looking after your dog. About: I grew up with a lot of animals in my home. I worked in a cat rehoming centre for a year and learned a lot about animal behaviour and communication styles. I believe giving your pet time to adjust to a new person and allowing them their own space is very important to gaining mutual respect. I have recently returned from travelling Canada and on my travels I looked after many dogs, cats, and on one occasion chickens! I have a very flexible schedule so I am available to care for your pet at your speed. Whether you prefer shorter more frequent walks or big longer walks, I will endeavour to accommodate your needs. Every animal is entitled to feel comfortable in their own home. I believe in giving them the time and space they deserve to adjust to having someone new in the home. Some pets are very welcoming and that is great however, some can become over stimulated or wary which I am willing to work with on their schedule.

About: I have had dogs for most of my life and would love to get one now, but this isn’t possible for me at the moment. So I have decided to look after other people’s dogs to get my puppy fix!! I have experience training my families dogs from puppy age and know exactly what a dog can and can’t do/have. I would treat any dog as my own, giving it exactly what it needs, whether that’s lots of cuddles and walks or just a place for some rest. I usually have a busy schedule with work, however I always have a day off in the week and every other weekend off. I would work around whatever times & dates are needed, making sure that your dog gets the best possible care! I live in a flat, however there is a big field next to where I live and I have a car, so I would be able to drive to any good walking spots as well!
