Shortly after making the booking, Jennifer reached out and we planned a short pre-meet before so that Gregory and her lovely dog Coco could meet, and we could share some information about them both. It was clear immediately that Jennifer and her family very much cared about making sure Gregory was going to have a comfortable stay with them, and he definitely did. During the boarding, Jennifer kept us updated with pictures of Gregory doing all his favourite things and he looked to be having an absolute splendid time, seemingly as comfortable as he would be in his own home! About: I have been passionate about animals for as long as I can remember. Back in my home country, raised my own dog from a tiny puppy, and he is now a lovely ten-year-old senior dog. Looking after him over all these years has given me valuable hands-on experience caring for older dogs, understanding their slower pace, special health needs and gentle care requirements. 么 I also rescued and cared for six cats while living in China. Looking after this group of rescue pets taught me immense patience, how to help shy, nervous animals feel safe, and how to manage multiple pets with different personalities and needs at the same time. Those wonderful years built my confidence and deep love for every furry friend. Since moving to York in the UK, I now have one friendly, well-socialised one-year-old dog who lives with me at home. He is calm, gentle and happy to meet other dogs. I am home full-time and rarely out of the house for long periods. This means your dog will get constant companionship, frequent daily walks, regular feeding times, plenty of playtime and rest. 1 am also happy to administer medication if needed. I treat every pet that stays with me like a member of my own family. Throughout their booking, I will send you regular photo and text updates, so you can enjoy peace of mind while you are away. I am currently not working and stay at home full-time, so I can dedicate plenty of time to look after, play with and walk your dog every single day. About: I’ve grown up surrounded by all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to chickens, horses, and even a rescue fawn! Animals have always been a big part of my life, and caring for them is something I genuinely love. Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to travel the world, including spending time in New Zealand where I was fortunate enough to house-sit and care for some wonderful dogs. When house-sitting, I’m very happy to follow your usual routines and instructions closely. I know every pet is different, so I’ll take the time to understand their individual needs and make sure they feel comfortable, happy and well cared for while you’re away.

We were a bit nervous at first about using a pet sitter, but Joanne arranged a meeting in a nice neutral space and I could tell from her interactions with my dog that she cared about dogs and we left her with our beloved little girl. While away, Joanne sent lots of videos and from the videos we could tell that our dog was really being looked after well - the dog was really relaxed in the videos, was being played with, and looked very very comfortable with Joanne. So comfortable in fact that we were a little worried our dog would want to stay with her when we came back, as our dog was definitely being pampered! We will definitely use Joanne again when we next go on holiday, so please don't pick her for the same week as we want! (just kidding).”
“I could write pages on how Cameron and Emily treat our dog with such love and as if he is their own, but I think Chapo’s feelings are much more important. It’s our second time booking with them, and Chapo had been quite moody before we dropped him off, but as soon as we got to their house he was suddenly very happy, very excited, very waggy tail, thrilled to be back. I think that says everything that needs to be said about their brilliant care. He loves playing with Hugo, and Cameron and Emily are amazing with him. Couldn’t recommend them enough.”

About: Hi, I’m Ellen, and I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life. For years I’ve been entrusted to walk dogs belonging to friends, family and paying customers, and to do drop-in visits for pets. I also walk and care for my own two dogs, Bella and Wilby, on a daily basis. In 2021 I also had the wonderful experience of raising Bella’s litter of 5 puppies in my family home, from their birth right up until they moved in with their new families (apart from Wilby who we decided to keep!). Wilby is an anxious dog and doesn’t get on well with other dogs, so I’m experienced in walking particularly difficult and antisocial dogs. I’m currently a university student, so my pet care fits around my university schedule. I’m available during the early mornings and the evenings, and my availability varies during working hours, but I’ll always be able to make time for your pet. I’m also available throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Whilst on walks, I prefer to stick to green areas rather than roads for both the safety and enjoyment of your pup. I also shower them with all the pets and attention that they could want.

Food and tickles were provided on time every day (Mika sat in the window each day checking the clock to make sure), in a very professional manner, and to their required high standards. About: I've been around dogs since childhood, and three years ago, my family and I adopted our lovely Britney/Staffy cross, Coco, after finding her abandoned while on holiday in Spain. Coco is 5 years old and very loves nothing more than making new doggy friends. We love local walks to the cafe at lunch and going further afield at weekends and would love to have your dog along with us. We also have a large enclosed garden for plenty of outdoor fun during the day! I work from home three days a week and my husband works from home full time so someone will always be around the house. We walk our dog Coco three times a day, and allow plenty of time in the garden between walks. My husband usually walks to a local cafe at lunch for a good one hour walk with the dog. We have a large and totally enclosed back garden and a large open plan living area downstairs. Your dog will be free to wander around the house and hangout with our dog Coco. If we have to pop out for a short time we ensure access to a comfy bed and water at all times.
About: I adore animals and grew up with dogs, mainly terriers and labs so caring for them is second nature to me. I’ve worked in many places that are dog friendly also. I absolutely adore pets and and can’t wait to know yours. I’ve got over 10 years experience living with and minding pets, mainly dogs and cats, from puppies to rescues. We enjoy their companionship and caring for them, which we have many years of experience and we are trustworthy and reliable. We have a calm and relaxed home with a secure garden and have lots of lovely walks from our doorstep. I am at home during the day and at weekends and always make sure I take care of my own pets needs and so I would do exactly the same with all dogs that are staying with us. I would ensure I followed the owner’s instructions and I would keep them updated. I would keep a good routine, with feeding, making sure their pets food is fresh in clean bowls with access to fresh water. I would exercise them to suit their needs. I am happy to bathe, brush, clean teeth if they allow but I do not clip nails. I would give medication according to owner’s instructions. I would ensure harnesses, leads are secure before leaving on a walk and car restraints are secured before transporting. Pets are allowed on our chairs and sofas and beds and I would like them to feel safe, relaxed and comfortable. I can crate if required. I would give positive praise and attention, helping your pet to feel at home and relaxed as possible while staying with us.

About: Since the age of 11 I've been taking care of 2 very cheeky, active springer spaniels. I believe that pets are a part of the family. All of my friends are pet professionals and I myself work for a pet microchipping database, focusing on animal welfare. My office is animal friendly and full of treats, beds, and toys. I excel in keeping your pets active while they're with me, plus I can facilitate some level of training through my pet professional connections. Since I can bring pets to my place of work I have availability for any mid-week doggy daycare and boarding. I also have 2 work from home days (generally Tuesday's and Friday's) where I could take better care of pets with more need (say they have to go to the bathroom more frequently). Weekend are more difficult however I'm often doing large hikes on weekends 3/6 hours long, I do these generally with my pet professional friends so there are many experienced hands on deck waiting to get involved. My work from home days can be changed and other amendments can be discussed. I have a garden with a high fence running all the way around. I don't have any pets in my house so no need to worry about conflicts and your animal would never be left alone in the house, either I will be at home with them or they will be at my place of work with me. My area in York has lots of paths for walking pets away from the main road to keep them safe.

About: I have had dog all my life. At the moment I currently have 4 dogs. I also helped out in kennels in Tenerife last year. I am full time. Limited availability on Wednesday and Thursdays as I am at university but this can be done online if I am pet sitting. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals since been born and looked after different species of dogs and cats since they were young. I’ve helped train and teach them on what to do. I’ve helped more in the past few years with been older and sitting my families animals when they are away I am currently at uni where I’m there 2 days a week but varies all the time, and I also work part time at a pharmacy which I am changing my hours soon to fit around university. About: Hi, I’m Ellen, and I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life. For years I’ve been entrusted to walk dogs belonging to friends, family and paying customers, and to do drop-in visits for pets. I also walk and care for my own two dogs, Bella and Wilby, on a daily basis. In 2021 I also had the wonderful experience of raising Bella’s litter of 5 puppies in my family home, from their birth right up until they moved in with their new families (apart from Wilby who we decided to keep!). Wilby is an anxious dog and doesn’t get on well with other dogs, so I’m experienced in walking particularly difficult and antisocial dogs. I’m currently a university student, so my pet care fits around my university schedule. I’m available during the early mornings and the evenings, and my availability varies during working hours, but I’ll always be able to make time for your pet. I’m also available throughout the day on Saturdays and Sundays. Whilst on walks, I prefer to stick to green areas rather than roads for both the safety and enjoyment of your pup. I also shower them with all the pets and attention that they could want.

About: I have had pets since I was 10 years old. I have had cats, dogs and kittens and also rabbits. I have experience looking after people’s kittens/cats/senior cats and also puppies/adult dogs and senior dogs. I have medication administration experience as our old senior cat had medical conditions which required medication. I love looking after furbabies to ensure their individual needs are being met taking into consideration their different personalities. I currently work a 9-5 job Monday to Friday but I am free evenings and over the weekend. Over the weekend I am more flexible to look after pets in my own home, take them for walks and do drop in sessions. I can also offer dog walking/ drop in sessions in the evening after work hours. I have a fenced backyard for your furbaby and I am a 5 minute walk away from a field. About: For many years family and friends have relied on me taking brilliant care of their pets while being away. Furthermore I have 4 years of experience working in a boarding cattery in which I provided excellent care and cuddles to some wonderful kitties! I have also spent time walking and caring for dogs. “Absolutely brilliant! Nicola took every effort to give our dog a wonderful stay with lots of tlc and lovely walks. This was Tilly's first stay with Nicola and was just for 1 night but she is going back next week for a longer holiday and we know now that she will be so well looked after. She has already made a new friend with the youngest of Nicola's dogs and Nicola has also got lots of activities planned for them. The communication has been superb with lovely messages describing what Tilly was doing, complete with great photos which all gave us peace of mind. “I could write pages on how Cameron and Emily treat our dog with such love and as if he is their own, but I think Chapo’s feelings are much more important. It’s our second time booking with them, and Chapo had been quite moody before we dropped him off, but as soon as we got to their house he was suddenly very happy, very excited, very waggy tail, thrilled to be back. I think that says everything that needs to be said about their brilliant care. He loves playing with Hugo, and Cameron and Emily are amazing with him. Couldn’t recommend them enough.”
