My partner Rebecca and I have a two-year-old Border Collie/Lab mix named Pearl. While she has a little of that energetic collie craziness, she’s well-behaved, affectionate, and a joy to be around. Beyond our own pets, Rebecca and I volunteer with Team Arlo York, a lost dog rescue group. We’re actively involved in call-outs, searches, and rescues, using gear like thermal drones and scopes to help find missing dogs in the York area. About: I’ve been surrounded by animals my entire life and caring for them has always come naturally to me. For the past decade, I’ve owned and cared for more specialized pets like ferrets, which has given me a deep understanding of patience, attentiveness, and individualized care. I especially love dogs and have experience training puppies as well as caring for senior dogs who need a little extra gentleness and support. About: I'm El! I had a dog from when she was a puppy right through to old age. We trained her with various commands when she was young as well as monitoring her care and medication when she was older. I have also helped with friends and families dogs with day to day care (fed, walked, bathed etc). I currently only have weekends and evenings/nights available to look after pets. I can also only look after pets in their owners home as mine is under renovations. Caring for pets in their owners home will needs to be discussed on a case by case basis for the pet and the owner. I will always enter caring for a pet with compassion and a nurturing mindset. Looking after a pet in their owners home I would need to understand the boundaries already in place and would want to know their expectations for their home and their pet before before services being agreed.

About: I’m 28 and alongside having my own saluki for the last 14 years, I’ve looked after many along the way! I’ve regularly walked my neighbours jack russell terrier, my friends labrodaur- and often assisted with 2 of my friends having their own dog walking businesses so I’m very familiar with dogs of all types and sizes! 🫶 I currently work part-time and love the idea of dog walking in my spare time! I’m very active and already walk a 4 mile loop to and from work, so you know you’re dog would have plenty of exercise 🐶 I moved to York last summer so it would also be lovely to meet new people at the same time 🤎 I live in rented accommodation so would mainly offer dog walking services, or check-ins throughout the day. About: I have had dogs my whole life and always been around dogs and loved them. I have just finished my year as the President of Dog Society at the University of York, bringing dogs to campus each week for students to meet and play with when they’re feeling homesick. I’ve got experience feeding, walking, washing and caring for a variety of sized dogs, from Miniature Dachshunds to Dalmatians and everything in between. I also have experience of giving dogs and cats pill based medication - even to pets that really hate them! My own dog loves to run off on walks so I’ve got plenty of experience with dogs who are escape artists so I’m well aware of all their tricks! I like to meet with you and your dog before hand to get to know you both and give you peace of mind when I look after them. I am at home in Sussex until end of August when I am then back in York full time I have just graduated from the University of York and now work Monday to Friday however I am flexible and am around on the weekends so have lots of time for looking after your dog. I am unable to care for pets in my own home at the moment due to renting my home however I am confident walking dogs and caring for them in your own home.

About: Experienced in having my own friend, a retired police dog (Springer SpanielxBoarder Collie) until his age of 15 for years. My family fosters rescue dogs from Romania, Kizzie (the one pictured) stayed with us for 3 months going from extremely scared of people to the most loving playful dog. Loving the outdoors myself, sharing it with dogs is something I really enjoy. Since traveling for work the last couple of years I was unable to have my own again. Now settling down I’m hoping to give other dogs the love and care until I’m ready for my own.
