Mel & Lewis were the best dogsitters I could ask for. My dog couldn’t have been happier, and I couldn’t have asked for more trustworthy sitters. They always provided me with updates during the stay, and most importantly gave my blind pup all the love she needed. They recognised all her needs and made her feel at home from the beginning. Would reccommend them to anyone!
We were up at York races for the afternoon and left our dog with Melanie for a few hours. Melanie cared for her so well and was so flexible and accommodating with our drop off and pick up times. She kept us updated throughout with messages and photos. If you need a dog sitter in York, please do book Melanie!
I couldn’t recommend Melanie & Lewis more!!! With this being the first time I’ve ever left my dogs with a dog sitter rather than family or friends, I was nervous as they’re my babies but also nervous for my dogs. I have two whippets and one can be a nervous wreck. She’s not confident with other dogs and likes her space on walks but I made all of this known to Melanie & Lewis and they were so understanding. The second time my dogs went to Doggy Day Care, they were so excited to see Melanie & Lewis and couldn’t have ran off with them quick enough - I think that says everything. They’re both been great with communication before, during and after the booking. They’ve given me so many updates and photos which I’ve loved. They’re also such lovely people and are the best to look after your little babies. I’ll 100% be booking again!!! ❤️❤️
Melanie and Lewis are two of the most attentive, caring, and reliable doggie carers we have ever met! Mira was looked after so well, with so much effort on their part taken to communicate with us and ensure they were catering to her needs. Our doggie has never been so happy away from home and she will absolutely be heading back to Mel and Lewis for another holiday soon!
Melanie and her partner did a perfect job of looking after our labradoodle, Sonny, for two weeks while we travelled Australia. This is the first time we had used a dog sitter so naturally we were a bit nervous, but we need not have worried as Melanie put us at ease - both beforehand with her quick and friendly response to our initial enquiry and by meeting with us and Sonny and while we were away with her daily WhatsApp updates. We would not hesitate to have Melanie take care of Sonny again! Thank you - we had a lovely time away knowing that Sonny was in great hands :)
Mel and Lewis have looked after Finley several times now and they are amazing - he is so well looked after and the photos they send us are lovely. Highly recommend their services

Schedule
I have a flexible work schedule, which means I work from home some days and have a very flexible schedule for dog walks, sitting and being taken out for bathroom breaks.

I live in a gated apartment building which has a fenced in Garden Space - which is a great bonus being so close to the city centre. Happy to take your pal on longer walks through the Forrest Areas near by, or somewhere more local like Roundhay or simply around the corner and beyond :)
A typical day
I love to go on long walks with dogs to stimulate them physically and mentally! I have tons of patience for dogs who love to sniff and energy for the ones who want to play games.
