“Traylor did an absolutely incredible job with our dogs and was very easy to adapt to our dog that has mega esophagus. Like other reviews have said, our house was left in a very clean state, and she even went above and beyond with cleaning the prepped dog food containers. We will be calling on her services again, for sure.”

“Ashley was an absolutely great Rover! She provided us with daily photos and updates on how our doggos were doing each day. She has great communication and was very attentive to our dogs needs as they both take medication. Overall we definitely plan on using her as a Rover in the future and would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for someone to take care of their pups!”

“Couldn’t be more pleased. Candace was very attentive to our pets, her communication is great! I loved getting detailed updates throughout the day and you can tell she genuinely cares about taking care of your furbabies! I definitely felt at ease with her looking after our dog and cat!”

“Shayla went above and beyond of what was expected of her. She has impeccable communication skills and always gave me great updates on both of my dogs. One of my dogs has high anxiety so he can be a handful. Shayla was able to handle his little quirks with ease. She even went as far as cleaning up after both of my dogs when the house got dirty because of them being outside. Took out the trash when she left and locked up. In essence, everything you would expect as if she was renting an Airbnb. I would 10/10 recommend her.”

“We are very pleased with how Kenna took care of Yuma and our house. Kenna texted us every morning to let us know how things were going. She always included a couple of pictures. When we reached out to her she was very quick to reply. My husband and I both think the house looked cleaner after we got home than when we left it. We both highly recommend Kenna for your petsitting needs!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Zoe’s incredible care for our baby doggie, Caramel, while we were away on a family trip to Hawaii! From the moment we left, we knew Caramel was in the best hands. Zoe treated her like royalty, giving her so much love and snuggles that it almost made us jealous! We especially appreciated the regular updates, complete with photos of Caramel’s adorable antics and health check-ins. It brought us so much peace of mind knowing our sweet girl was happy and thriving while we were away. Zoe went above and beyond in every way, and we can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will love your pet as much as you do, Zoe is the one!”

“Elva was a great house/pet sitter for us! This is the first time we have ever needed one for our 12 year old dog and we couldn't be happier with the service she provided. I appreciated that she was willing to come before we left to meet us and learn our dog's current routines. I came back home to the house still being clean and a happy dog. I will definitely reach out to Elva again for any upcoming trips!”

“We have never left our pets for this long before so we were a bit nervous beforehand. Everything went great! We returned home to happy, well cared for pets. Thank you!!!!!”

“Tyler is truly the best!! We’ve had her stay at our house and watch our dogs several times. She takes amazing care of our dogs and cat and they absolutely love her. She is so kind, respectful, and leaves your place better than when you left. Absolutely recommend!”

“Kaylee took great care of our pups and house. They received tons of love and snuggles and had zero complaints. Great communication and very responsive, 10/10 would recommend her.”

“We love Allison!! She has house-sat and watched our Kora twice now, and we’ll definitely be using her for any future needs! She’s great at sending updates and pics, and our prone-to-anxiety pup loves her. 10/10 recommend”

“Aubrey was great with our dog Luna and sent us a ton of pictures and videos while we were gone. We were in and out of cell service and we did not have any concerns as we knew Aubrey was taking good care of Luna!”

About: I love walking and caring for dogs. I believe that regular exercise is important for every pet. I have been walking dogs for years. Over the past few months i have been providing daily care for my sisters two dogs. I have a flexible schedule and would love to be your pets favorite walker. Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Uintah
Our usual dog sitter had to cancel on us last minute, so we were in a bind trying to find someone else to care for our sweet, special needs dog with less than a weeks notice. Big ask, especially last minute. Brandi was so quick to respond, happy to take on the job, and asked really good questions to ensure our doggo was well taken care of while we were gone. She sent pictures throughout our trip and made sure he had his medications at the times he needed them, and even took him to get a pup cup. She not only took great care of our dog, but our house as well. We came back to the house as we left it. She was kind, reliable, and we absolutely loved working with her. We will definitely be reaching out to her again.

Marcellene and her husband did wonderfully with our small zoo of dogs and cats, including a senior dog that needed medication and an overanxious dog. We met them in advance at the meet and greet and were pleased with their open communication. We received pictures and updates throughout the stay, multiple times a day, which was very important to us. They were adaptable and actively tried to be helpful with all of our requests. We came home to a clean house and happy, healthy animals. We also booked them separately for a last minute drop in to take our dogs in the backyard and they were super accommodating. We are very thankful.

We were a little nervous about leaving our two spoiled pups with someone new but Sami absolutely exceeded every expectation! This is her first time watching our dogs, and she took such wonderful care of them. She cuddled them, played with them, let Eden stay outside as long as she wanted, which is her favorite thing in the world and spoiled them exactly the way we do. We came home to happy, relaxed, and well loved dogs. You could tell they felt comfortable and cared for the entire time. Sami is thoughtful, communicative, and clearly a true dog lover. We felt completely knowing they were in such good hands. We will definitely be booking her again for future trips! Thank you so much for giving our furry kids the best weekend ever! Highly highly recommend.❤️

Grace treated my babies like her own the entire time we were out of town! She took Athena for several walks a day and took her hiking multiple times! I never had to worry about how they were being treated and it really took a weight off my shoulders and allowed us to enjoy our first trip with our new baby!

I booked Kyla to housesit with our two dogs and two cats for 8 days while my family and I were on a cruise. Not only did she exceed my expectations, but my animals loved her. One of my dogs is an 11 y/o pittie and has never been boarded or left in the care of someone other than a family member. She almost always gets stressed when I am gone for long periods of time and gets sick, but she did amazing with Kyla. My other pup is approx. a 2 y/o pittie mix and we have had him for about a year; he is very energetic and a little rough around the edges. Kyla handled both dogs with different complexities extremely well. Might I add, she was not deterred by any of the craziness! We also have two cats, one of which needed medication administered, and they both took really well to Kyla immediately. Kyla was wonderful in keeping our house the way we left it and respected our belongings. She went above and beyond to make sure that our pets and house were all taken care of. I would recommend Kyla to everyone especially if you are leaving on vacation. Kyla kept us updated and sent videos and photos of our fur babies to give us peace of mind. I could go on about how amazing Kyla was to our family but no need to look further, I would book her again for all of my future bookings and I think you should, too!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Uintah walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Uintah maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Uintah choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.

- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
