“Xion was amazing! They went above and beyond in home sitting our dog over our Thanksgiving vacation. From near-daily text and photo updates, to even shoveling snow from our driveway and sidewalk, they really took care of everything and more. So grateful and would absolutely book again!”

“We booked with Elva and Matt for house sitting while we were on vacation. Our previous planned sitter had cancelled last minute and we are honestly so happy they did so we could meet Matt and Elva! Blu absolutely loved them and they took great care of him, as well as the house. Their communication was amazing and we got daily photos and updates of our little guy! We will definitely be booking again☺️”

“Hettie is fantastic! She watched our two pups for us while we were on vacation for a week. We got regular updates about their well being, including photos and videos. It was great peace of mind to know she was taking care of our home and our “kids” while we were away.”

About: Hi, I’m Ainsley! Dogs have been a massive part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my home was always filled with paws—giving me firsthand experience raising energetic puppies, keeping up with active adult dogs, and providing gentle, attentive care to sweet senior dogs. I’ve spent years pet-sitting for family members, treating their fur babies exactly like my own. Whether your dog needs a high-energy brisk walk, a slow and sniff-filled stroll, or just some extra patience and TLC, I’ve got you covered. I can’t wait to meet your pup and become their new favorite walking buddy! I have a fairly open schedule while school is out for the summer! I’m available most mornings for check-ins and walks, and most evenings for over night care. I’m willing to adapt to any space! I have plenty of experience with all types of animals, and am confident that I can care for yours.
“Lexi was great! She left the house as if she had never been there and sent pictures of our pup. It was nice to be stress free while away from home knowing our pup was in good hands!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Zoe’s incredible care for our baby doggie, Caramel, while we were away on a family trip to Hawaii! From the moment we left, we knew Caramel was in the best hands. Zoe treated her like royalty, giving her so much love and snuggles that it almost made us jealous! We especially appreciated the regular updates, complete with photos of Caramel’s adorable antics and health check-ins. It brought us so much peace of mind knowing our sweet girl was happy and thriving while we were away. Zoe went above and beyond in every way, and we can’t recommend her highly enough. If you’re looking for someone who will love your pet as much as you do, Zoe is the one!”

“Traylor did an absolutely incredible job with our dogs and was very easy to adapt to our dog that has mega esophagus. Like other reviews have said, our house was left in a very clean state, and she even went above and beyond with cleaning the prepped dog food containers. We will be calling on her services again, for sure.”

About: I grew up with my mom finding strays to care for and finding them homes. I've always wanted my own. I've had my dog for 4 years and adopted my kitten a few months ago! I am mostly free on weekdays and most weekends so any day works for me to give your pets my undivided attention and my best care. I will be able to drop in and hang out with your pets as long, or as many times as needed to make them and yourself more comfortable!
About: Hi, I’m Shelby! I’ve been pet sitting for over 12 years, and caring for animals has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up with both dogs and cats gave me a lifelong love for animals of all breeds, sizes, and personalities. I have experience caring for puppies, senior dogs, anxious pets, and multi-pet households. I’m comfortable administering oral medications when needed and always take the time to learn each pet’s unique routine so they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. While I haven’t administered injectable medications yet, I’m eager to learn and am happy to follow your veterinarian’s instructions or the routine you’ve established if appropriate. I understand that every pet is different, and I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible—from feeding schedules and walks to playtime, bedtime, and all the little details that help them feel at home. One of my favorite parts of pet sitting is building lasting relationships with both pets and their owners. I’m fortunate to have many wonderful repeat clients who trust me with their furry family members time and time again, and I’m happy to provide references upon request. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me spending time with the pets in my care. I know how important consistency, companionship, and enrichment are, so you can expect your pets to receive plenty of attention, playtime, exercise, cuddles, and lots of love. Communication is one of my top priorities. Throughout your booking, you’ll receive regular updates, photos, and messages so you always know how your pets are doing. My goal is for you to enjoy your time away with complete peace of mind, knowing they’re safe, happy, and being treated like family. I work a regular afternoon/evening schedule on some weekdays. Before accepting a booking, I’ll always discuss my availability with you to make sure it’s the right fit for your pet’s needs. If your pet requires frequent potty breaks or can’t be left alone for extended periods, we’ll make sure we’re a good match before confirming the booking. Whether your pet loves long walks, endless games of fetch, quiet cuddle time, or simply having someone nearby, I’ll care for them as if they were my own. I can’t wait to meet you and your furry family members! I work full time swings typically 3p-10/12p it varies during the week. When I’m not working I’m a home body so your pets will have company with them most of the morning. I do know my schedule usually a month in advance so I am able to let you know before you officially book and you can decide if it works for you. I prefer to stay in their home which allows them to stay comfortable and in their own environment, new places can cause fur babies unnecessary stress and no one wants that. I prefer to keep their routine as normal as possible as well so if they get fed at 5 am I set an alarm to ensure they get fed at their normal time as well.

“Candace is an amazing fur babysitter, whom we’ve requested several times already! After the first time meeting with her, she gave an excellent first impression and wasn’t scared to ask questions about our boys. She’s sweet, friendly and a great communicator. This is extremely important to us because one of boys is elderly and have separation anxiety. Every time that we’ve returned from being away, our boys are relaxed and happy. 😊”

“Kimmie was amazing with our husky Royal. She came over before hand and talked with us to know what to expect. Royal loved her!! Since working from home, we never lock him up anymore, so it was great that she could stay with him and work from my home! She sent updates and was great communicating with me. We'll be repeat customers with her for sure. I've had a bad experience with the last person I booked so I was nervous about booking again, but Kimmie put my mind at ease and did a fantastic job!”

About: I grew up taking care of all kinds of animals, I’ve raised 3 puppies and have watched many older dogs too! I have a dog of my own and I got her when she was only a few months old, she is now a year and a month. I can tell when something is bothering a dog or if they start to feel sick, I am willing to do minor training sessions with you dog every time they come over for a playdate! Willing to crate/kennel train. I go to school Mon-Fri 12pm-4:30pm! I’m off all day on the weekends. I love ALL dogs, I do have a small allergy but my love for dog care does not stop me I just take allergy pills! I can only watch or walk dogs mostly on weekends but ask me about weekdays. If you’re able to drop your animal off to me and pick them up before school I can watch them during those times as well. All trash is always thrown out or placed in the trash bins with lids or bathroom with door closed. So that means your pup will not be getting into anything they are not supposed to. I highly recommend bring some of your pets own toys so they have something to comfort them. When watching dogs I will be fully attentive at all times, I will give dogs rest time so please provide a crate/kennel (if you don’t have one we will find a safe place for your pup to rest!) rest time will be anywhere between 45mins- 2 hours. If your dog has a potty schedule, feeding schedule, medications please write me a note with all the important information. When your dog or cat stays with me we will be playing a lot and you’ll be happy to see your dog/ cat happy, healthy, tired, clean, full, hydrated, and just 100% bliss. We have no kids or cats or other animals other than our 15lbs ASD/ Jack Russel Terrier mix. If you have any more questions you may text me! (Cats and other dogs on my profile are my pets who my exes ended up keeping)
About: I grew up with dogs since I was about 4! I have a big family with lots of aunts and uncles that rely on me to take care of their dogs while they are gone on trips. I love getting to know pets with all different personalities. I work 8-5 five days a week with rotating days. I go straight back to your home after work and am able to spend the rest of the night with your pets. I have a lunch in the middle of the work day I can check on the pets depending on distance. I am easy to reach outside of sleeping hours and can give any updates needed. I keep a close eye on your pets and keep in touch if anything seems out of the ordinary with them to take the best action.
“They took wonderful care of our animals and home while we were gone. Excellent communication, they left the house looking cleaner than when we left. Highly recommend. I would definitely rebook.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Clearfield
We were so blessed to have found Ilina on Rover! She came and stayed at our apartment Monday-Friday on short notice and took great care of our dog and cat, We have never had a sitter before. My pets were fed, watered, walked several times a day, and definitely loved on. I will be having her watch them again. What a responsible and honest person Ilina is🧡🐕🐈

Tayla was very kind and took great care of our Sammy girl! She washed the sheets and towels used which was not expected and we are appreciative of that extra step to leave the house clean for us! I would like a few more updates and pictures while we are gone to keep better communication (Sammy is our baby)! Other than that, she did wonderful and we would absolutely use her again! Thanks Tayla!

Hettie cared so well for our pack of 5 dogs and handled that with no problem! We had no concerns leaving them with her and knew they were in great hands with Hettie! We appreciated her taking the time to play with EACH of them often while we were gone for a week. Couldn't have gone without her! Will use Hettie as often as we can when we leave town.

Lyric stayed in our home for a couple nights to keep our cats company while we were gone. They were so happy when we arrived back home and seemed well taken care of. Lyric sent pictures each day and was very easy to work with. We are so appreciative to her for the last minute booking and peace of mind. We will definitely use her again in the future!
Ariah took great care of our 8 year old puppy. She sent photos and updates daily. She was very responsive to our texts and questions. We would definitely hire her again to take care of our goldendoodle. I would feel very comfortable referring friends to have her take care of their pets.

Nicole took great care of our kitties and house when we were out of town. She's very pleasant to work with and sent regular updates. It was great being able to enjoy a vacation without worrying about our pets, especially our elderly cat. We came home to happy health furbabies!

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Clearfield walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Clearfield maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Clearfield choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Clearfield. On Rover:
- 94% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 99% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 97% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
