“Haylie was so sweet and and kind caring for our dog. She kept us connected while we were away by sending pics and updates. She was great at communicating and a pleasure to work with.”

About: I love walking and caring for dogs. I believe that regular exercise is important for every pet. I have been walking dogs for years. Over the past few months i have been providing daily care for my sisters two dogs. I have a flexible schedule and would love to be your pets favorite walker. I can fit your schedule very easily and will help your pet get appropriate exercise. I have been making sure my sisters dog got the vitamins and supplements he needed over the past few months when she was out of state.
“Kerry did a great job with our babies and communicated with us while we were in vacation about how things were going. In addition to taking care of the pets the house was tidy and he went above and beyond by taking our trash out to the curb. All the pets were I great spirits when we got home. Would recommend Kerry to family and friends.”

“Jayda and Echo were amazing dog sitters. They took great care of both our vizslas. Both our dogs have very different personalities and they were great with them! The house was left clean and the dogs were tired. They sent pictures throughout the day. We were so grateful we could leave the dogs without any worries!”

“Jessica took care of my Cocker Spaniel in my home over the weekend. She's incredibly loving, intuitive and made sure she understood exactly how to give him his medicine. She sent frequent pictures and updates, which made my entire trip much better knowing my sweet pup was well taken care of. I look forward to having her in my home again and giving my pup loving attention! She's exactly what you hope to find when looking for a sitter. Thank you big, Jessica!”

About: I have had dog/dogs my whole life and have looked after them in every stage from puppies to seniors. I would love to look after your loved ones! I'm currently working part-time and have plenty of time to care for your furry family members! I am flexible to do part time or full time care. I will make sure your animals are safe and respect your boundaries in keeping your animals routines as consistent to your own schedule as possible!
“We have never left our pets for this long before so we were a bit nervous beforehand. Everything went great! We returned home to happy, well cared for pets. Thank you!!!!!”

“This gal hit a home run caring for my pup. I didn’t worry a single minute with Bailey by my fur baby’s side! She walked her daily before the temps were too hot and tended to her every need. I appreciated the photo updates as well! Bailey is an ALLSTAR!”

About: I have taken care of dogs for around five years. I will make sure your dog is well loved and cared for. I will take them on lots of walks, and like I said, give them lots of love. I’m currently in school working towards my x-ray degree. I have class Monday, Wednesday at five and Thursdays I’m unavailable all day. Any other time I’m completely available to give your dog lots of love and all the walks that they need. As of right now, I’m living in an apartment with lots of grass, but no fenced backyard. But I will take them on lots and lots of walks.

“Traylor and Jason were excellent with our fur babies. We were able to fully enjoy our trip knowing they were in good hands. Came home to a spotless house as well.”

“Took great care of our dog while we were gone for 4 days. Was patient when he was scared and made sure to share lots of photos of him. Would definitely book again!”

About: I grew up with Samoyeds—headstrong, smart, high-energy dogs—so I’m comfortable with breeds of any size or temperament (or decibel level!). I’ve cared for dogs through every life stage, from puppyhood to eldercare, and I’m equipped for medical needs when they come up, from daily medicine to diabetes management and everything in between. I pay close attention to behavior, flag anything that seems off, and I’m comfortable making the call to see a vet or act in an emergency if you can’t be reached. I work remotely on East Coast hours and usually finish by 4pm; I am generally available for morning, evening, or nighttime walks with occasional mid-day openings for quick visits or with advanced notice. I don’t have dogs of my own (yet!) so yours gets my full attention. I promise I’ll treat your pup and your home with the same care I’d want for mine. I look forward to meeting you both! I work remotely on East Coast hours and usually finish by 4pm, so I have flexible daytime availability. I am regularly available for early morning, evening, or nighttime walks on weekdays; shorter mid-day walks or visits can be accommodated with advance notice. Weekends are wide open, and I’m happy to do longer walks or hikes when a dog’s energy and fitness are up for it. I’ll build a routine around what works best for you and your pup. Since I’m focused on walks and visiting care, I treat every client’s home with the same respect I’d expect in my own—shoes off, lights and doors as I found them, nothing out of place. I follow your routines closely and stay alert to a dog’s behavior and surroundings, being sure to provide updates regularly and always available by call or text. I will ensure your home and pup are secure and comfortable before leaving.
“Elva was a great house/pet sitter for us! This is the first time we have ever needed one for our 12 year old dog and we couldn't be happier with the service she provided. I appreciated that she was willing to come before we left to meet us and learn our dog's current routines. I came back home to the house still being clean and a happy dog. I will definitely reach out to Elva again for any upcoming trips!”

“We would recommend Ashley to anyone needing a dog sitter! She did a fantastic job watching our senior dog and staying at our home. Ashley is very communicative. We didn't have to worry about our furry friend for a second. Thanks, Ashley!”

“Open and honest sitter! My dog is particular on how she does things so when there were any questions or concerns she asked me for advice or tips on how to handle it. She’s great with sending pictures with updates. Soph came back happy so I’m satisfied!”

“Jada was amazing house sitting to take care of our pup blue! He needs special medicine in his food and needs a few more potty times than most and we came home to a happy guy! Thank you Jada!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Ogden
We had such an amazing experience with Dezanay! She watched our English Bully, Bowser, for a week, and we truly could not have asked for a better sitter. Dezanay checked on Bowser at least twice a day and went above and beyond by checking on him even more frequently when the weather was hot/rainy and he needed to be brought inside. She was incredibly attentive to his needs, and it was obvious how much she genuinely cared about him. Bowser absolutely LOVED her and was actually so excited to see her again today when she stopped by to pick up a little gift we got her. That alone says so much! She also had the sweetest personal touches that completely surprised us. She drew an absolutely amazing picture of Bowser, and she noticed a sketchbook and colored pencils on our shopping list and surprised my daughter by buying them for her. 🥹 She even kindly watered our plants when they needed it. Communication was excellent throughout the entire week, and I always felt comfortable knowing Bowser was being well cared for while we were away. Dezanay was responsible, thoughtful, trustworthy, and truly went above and beyond what we expected. We are so grateful we found her and would 100% recommend Dezanay to anyone looking for someone who will treat their pets like family. We will absolutely be booking with her again! 🐾❤️

Jess did a great and thorough job with Murphy. We just moved to Ogden and finding a new sitter can always be nerve-racking. But I am so glad we put our trust in Jess. She was professional, loving and took such a good job of our house, leaving it probably better than we left it. Murphy was a happy boy when we got home and was well taken care off. Thanks again Jess! You will hear from me again! :)

Sophie was a wonderful sitter to our 2 old pups! She made sure they were fed and taken out. She had to give medicine to one of our dogs with each meal and she was great at making sure it was all done how they are used to it. She cleaned up after herself and anytime I had a question she responded promptly. I would absolutely hire Sophie again as a dog sitter!!

We contracted with Kerry to housesit with our 14.5 year old senior gal. Our last vacation was about eight years ago and we were very anxious about finding someone who would care for her with as much support as she’s used to receiving. Upon doing a meet & greet with Kerry, our fears were put to rest. After introducing himself, he immediately sat on the ground with our girl & waited patiently for her to approach him. He asked questions about her personality, habits, schedule, meals, etc while letting her get to know him. Between the meet & greet and our scheduled housesitting, they had several “walking dates” and soon grew familiar with each other. While we were out of town, Kerry sent photos and updates about walks, morning & evening routines, mealtimes, and he asked questions when necessary to ensure her needs and care were fully met. For anything that was a little new or unfamiliar, he took his time with her, giving her space & kindness to become comfortable with the activity. He also treated our home with respect. We’re so happy to have found Kerry! We would definitely recommend him for care, walks, housesitting for your furry family members. We’ll for sure work with him again.

Marcellene and her husband did wonderfully with our small zoo of dogs and cats, including a senior dog that needed medication and an overanxious dog. We met them in advance at the meet and greet and were pleased with their open communication. We received pictures and updates throughout the stay, multiple times a day, which was very important to us. They were adaptable and actively tried to be helpful with all of our requests. We came home to a clean house and happy, healthy animals. We also booked them separately for a last minute drop in to take our dogs in the backyard and they were super accommodating. We are very thankful.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred South Ogden walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in South Ogden maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in South Ogden choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
