About: I grew up with dogs since I was about 4! I have a big family with lots of aunts and uncles that rely on me to take care of their dogs while they are gone on trips. I love getting to know pets with all different personalities. I work 8-5 five days a week with rotating days. I go straight back to your home after work and am able to spend the rest of the night with your pets. I have a lunch in the middle of the work day I can check on the pets depending on distance. I am easy to reach outside of sleeping hours and can give any updates needed. I keep a close eye on your pets and keep in touch if anything seems out of the ordinary with them to take the best action.
“Jessica is GREAT!!! My cats are a little spicy when it comes to strangers. She was so patient and kind. One of them ended up on her lap giving her cuddles within just a few days! She was also very attentive when one of them threw up, she contacted me immediately. She also sent sooo many picture updates and it made me feel at ease knowing my furr babies had an expert sitter watching out for them. I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing they were safe and sound.”

“My pup loves getting to hang out with Audrey. She's so happy to have a visitor during the day. Audrey's been great and I've come home to the surprise of cleaned up and refilled bowls that were on my to-do list.”

“Liz was excerpt coming over to our home each day to check in on Sophie and feed her and give her some attention. Liz was very responsive each time I reached out to her and went above and beyond in bringing our mail in and watering our plants while we were on vacation. We really appreciate her driving so far to come do home visits for our cat who gets too stressed in other people’s homes or at boarders.”

“Our cats love these two sooo much, and they love our cats! They send the cutest updates and treat our cats like they’re their own. We’ll use them again every time we need a sitter!”

“They took care of my babies with such care and great pics. They even got good pics of the angry feline we lovingly refer to as “Asscat”. Thank you so much for taking such great care of them. They were very good communicators and quick with responses. Very helpful.”

“This is the second time Jess took care of my dogs while I was away. She fed and cared for them, cleaned up after them, and was understanding of the anxiety they felt while I was away. She was also very understanding when my boyfriend was at the house for an unannounced visit when she arrived for check-in. I don't worry about my dogs as much when Jess is caring for them.”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs around since I was a very little girl, I’ve experienced having small dogs, Medium-sized, and Large Dogs. My Mom bred Maltese so I got to constantly play with many adorable puppies and help bathe them too. My husband, has had about 8 years of experience with animals. He helped me with raising 10 puppies, a litter from our own dog Tyndale. Our whole family absolutely loves dogs! We’d love to meet and play with your puppy too! I am currently working from home, taking care of my family and pets, so I have plenty of time to take care of and play with your puppy. I have a fenced yard and a friendly dog named Tyndale, she loves to play and would be happy to help keep your Doggie company.
“Megan always goes above and beyond when watching our cranky old cat. She sends us daily pics and updates and goes out of her way to make sure he’s comfortable. We really appreciate her (and so does Tuna the cat)!”
“Kerry was amazing. He took really good care of my girls. He communicated everyday and sent pictures. I felt like they were in really good hands. I highly recommend Kerry. I will be rebooking in the future.”

“Kathleen helped us out last minute for our trip over the 4th of July weekend. She was quick in replying and made communication very easy. She was very helpful in helping us decide what times were best for her check-ins with our dog and 3 Guinea pigs. We highly recommend her and will definitely be using her services again in the future.”

About: I've shared my life with dogs since I was 3 years old, and caring for animals has always come naturally to me. I became a vegetarian at 13 because of my deep love and respect for animals, and I truly believe they deserve patience, kindness, and attentive care. As a pet owner myself, I understand how important it is to know your pet is safe, comfortable, and loved while you're away. Whether your pet enjoys long walks, playtime, or simply relaxing with a caring companion, I'll make sure they receive personalized attention and plenty of affection. My goal is to care for every pet as if they were my own. I currently work a unique 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, which gives me an entire week at a time dedicated to caring for pets. During my weeks off, I have the flexibility to provide attentive, dependable care while you’re on vacation, traveling, or busy with work. I’ll work with you to make sure your pet’s routine stays as consistent and comfortable as possible Your pet's safety is my top priority. I'll carefully follow your instructions and keep your pet's routine as consistent as possible. I'll always ensure dogs are securely leashed before going outside, double-check that gates and doors are closed, and only use crates if that's part of your pet's normal routine. During walks, I'll stay aware of our surroundings, avoid unsafe situations, and use reflective gear and lights when walking in low-light conditions. I'll also respect your home by keeping it clean, locking doors and windows when I leave, and sending regular updates so you can feel confident your pet is safe and well cared for.
“Krista was great with our dogs. She was patiently persistent with our shy dog which she was eventually able to leash up and take on a walk during the drop-in visits. We loved the visit reports and pictures too.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - South Ogden
We had a great experience with Kerry. One of our cats was having medical issues that complicated our ability to plan the visits but Kerry was very flexible in working with us. He communicated very quickly. He was willing to do a meet and greet which went great and eased my worries. Overall would recommend!

This was my first time using Rover, and John was so wonderful! I love the updates & pictures, and John was so patient with my hand-full Heeler. He has great dog experience & is so patient with them. I did not have a worry while away on my trip. I will absolutely use John & Courtney again, and highly recommend them & Rover!

Booked again, and as always, Miko was well taken care of. I appreciate the updates and pictures while I’m away, great pictures btw, brings peace of mind. Thank you for going above and beyond and taking time to supervise Miko outside, which is his favorite. He loves going outside several times a day, and it meant a lot that they were so patient and attentive with him. Thank you again for always following instructions carefully and taking such thoughtful care of Miko. Very grateful!

Katlyn gave our cat the time and space she needed to warm up to a stranger. After she warmed up to Katlyn, she was given lots of love and playtime. Katlyn did a great job with our cat while we were out of town and we will definitely be willing to book with her again in the future!

Brenda is amazing! She provides great updates and the cutest photos of our pups! We appreciate her attention to detail, as well as going the extra mile and cleaning up after our crazy little dogs when they are being naughty 😂 She’s super knowledgeable and it’s clear she’s got years of experience working with animals. Thank you Brenda, you are the best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
