I've been around dogs for as long as I can remember, having my first family dog being a German Sheperd. I have since had dogs of all breeds, from an English Bulldog, to a Maltipoo, to a Husky. As a bit of an anxious dog owner myself, I treat every dog I watch like my own, and I believe the least stressful way to do that for them is to be with them in their home, their space, where they are familiar with their surroundings. Dogs provide endless love, so I will ensure yours feels love and safe in their space while you are away.

While you are gone, your fur baby might miss you, and the easiest thing for them, is to be cared for in a space they are familiar with. It is less stressful and comforting to be around what they know. So I will house-sit for you to ensure your pet is most comfortable, following the schedule and routine you have set for your dog all while giving cuddles and attention.

I truly can’t say enough wonderful things about Lexi! I just love my boy and leaving him is never easy for me. I miss him from the minute I leave. He is over ten years old and such a big, cuddly bulldog who still thinks he’s a tiny lap dog. From the very beginning, Lexi treated him with so much love, patience, and genuine care that I felt completely at ease. She gave him so much love. She seemed to really enjoy spending time with him and she let him snuggle up like the lap dog he believes he is, tucked him in with blankets and sent me photos of him snoozing. You could tell she made sure he felt safe, warm, and loved at all times. It meant so much to know he was being cared for in such a tender, thoughtful way. Lexi went above and beyond to keep him happy with play time and plenty of treats. Even at his age, he still has a playful side, and she was completely willing to throw the ball, play tug with his rings, and spending so much time with him, until he was happily worn out. That level of attention and dedication relieved my stress of missing my boy. And the pictures were a great addition. Lexi is incredibly reliable—showing up early and even staying longer than expected just to make sure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find someone who cares this deeply about your baby as if they were one of their own. I feel super lucky to have found and connected with her. She will absolutely be my permanent sitter and we have had her babysit multiple times now! I continue to trust her with my dog again and again without hesitation and she does not disappoint. :) Thank you!
I was very happy with the care and love Alexis provided to my dogs, Baron and Zorro. She was so sweet and responsive, I didn’t have to worry about them. I got daily pictures and updates. She even watered my plants and brought in the packages delivered while we were out of town. I would definitely use her services again and highly recommend her. Thank you Alexis!
Lexi was fabulous! It was the first time we have left our greyhound and he fell in love with her. We got the cutest pictures everyday and all was great at the house. She is the best!
Alexis Woodard is the best pet sitter I've ever come across! I've watched her handle and care for animals for 15 years. She is my number one choice for taking care of my 2 dogs. I travel out of town ALOT! I have two Maltipoos, and they just love her! "Her favorite people have paws!" is a saying that fits Alexis perfectly! ( I've told her that before.) She is reliable and responsible. I can always count on her to keep my dogs safe and well cared for. If you want your pet loved and spoiled, don't hesitate, Alexis is the Best!

I'd love to build consistent clients in my area. I'm pretty laid back and flexible with my time currently. My hobbies typically include reading, writing, some more reading, a video game here and there, and more reading. I have my own pup, a husky, that keeps me company at home. While house-sitting, I will leave to go take care of her and spend an hour or two with her.

- I appreciate knowing if your pets are people friendly and/or dog friendly, that way when I take them for walks, I know whether or not to let people and dogs approach them. If there are any triggers that make your pup scared, anxious, or aggressive (like a vacuum or a knock on the door) I'd like to know that as well just so I can anticipate how they will behave. It is also nice to know if your pets try to bolt through open doors so I can take proper precautions to prevent loose pets.
