Jake took such great care of my pets! He was able to handle my cat, senior dog and our puppies, was such a lifesaver while I was out of town. The pictures he took are so cute too, would definitely recommend Jake watching your pets, he treated them with a lot of care.

Landon was amazing with my dog snoopy. He stayed with him the whole time and gave him that last minute playtime/potty break. I’m grateful for the care he gave snoopy and I’ll definitely book again and recommend him. He was the best with my energetic pup.

About: Hi pet parents! My name is Becca, and I have been pet-sitting for 8 years. Throughout that experience, many pet parents of varying ages have entrusted me with their furry children. I adore caring for animals, as I have a sweet orange cat of my own! I promise that I will give the same care and love to your pet that I give to my own little one. I currently work part time, and I am usually off at the critical times when I would need to drop in to feed your pet! I am always able to adjust my schedule to fit the times you will need me, especially in advance. The biggest thing for me when caring for my pets as well as your pet is to prioritize quality time with them. In addition to food of course. I make sure to spend as much time with my pets as I can, as they definitely notice when you're not interested in spending time with them. "Most importantly, I will try my best to make sure your pet is comfortable and not stressed. Trust between myself and my clients and their pets is essential!

I rebooked with Lauren again due to my previous experience with her and she was great yet again! She was very attentive and loving to my kitties while I was gone for a while! She always made sure they had fresh litter, water, and fed on the dot of every check in! She applied medicine and cleaned up after my cats whether it was hairballs or them just making a mess! Thank you Lauren for making my kitties feel safe and comfortable and letting me go on a stress free vacation! Looking forward to booking with you again! :)

About: I have many years of experience with dogs and other pets of all kinds. I was a sitter for many local families and their pets were always taken care of and loved. I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe and comfortable while their owners are away, and I always treat every animal like my own. I am a college student completing my work online. I am home full time spend most of my dog spending time with my dog polar. I have a quiet house for dogs who prefer a more peaceful environment but I also have a fenced in park area where I sometimes spend the day at for more high energy pets. The environment is very safe and your pets will be watched and safe at all time.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs of all different sizes and personalities throughout my life, especially the last 6 years. Back home I have three dogs, including 2 Labrador retrievers and a chihuahua mix rescue. I used to dog sit for my neighbors every few months, typically for a week at a time. Now that I am at college at UA, I miss constantly being around dogs and I hope to fill that missing piece through Rover! I am great about exercising, feeding on time, and potty breaks. If you have any more questions feel free to ask! I’m currently working part-time, but will have plenty of time to check in on your pups :) My schedule is usually completely free during the day up until 4pm. I also get breaks at work and can stop in to let your furbaby out! I currently live in a spacious apartment with two of my best friends that also love dogs. We have a fenced-in dog park right next to our unit! It takes less than a minute walk from my door to the park.

I have experience with dogs of all ages and am available for drop-in visits, walks, and overnight visits. My schedule is up-to date with availability for weekends and overnight stays. Please reach out if the date/time you need is not listed - I'd love to meet your furry friend! About: Hello it’s so nice to meet you and your fur babies! My name is Taylor and I moved to the Orlando area last year so I’m still learning my way around. I live with my husband and our two huskies, Sarge & Elsa- both rescues! I am 26 years old and this is currently my full-time job as I wait to get back into school to get my masters! I became a sitter on Rover back in our hometown in 2018. I have met so many dogs and cats and also their humans and it’s truly been so rewarding. I am a animal lover. I give my complete gratitude to my dog Kimba, who passed away in June 2020, for being the reason I am so passionate about dogs. Granted even when I was little I hung out with my neighbors golden retriever every single day after school for probably 3 years- I swore that dog was my best friend lol. Kimba and I had such a special bond and the love I had for her and she had for me really meant the world to me. It opened my eyes to how absolutely priceless and amazing it is to be loved by a dog. To me, they are part of the family. I can assure you that while your babies are my care, they will be treated as just that- a part of the family! I will love on them, care for them and make it my top priority to make them feel happy & relaxed while you’re away! I am currently booking for: 1) WALKS 2) DROP-INS 3) HOUSE SITTING Walks & drop-ins work best for me right now. We just rescued Elsa, a 3 year old husky, and we are dealing with some separation anxiety and house training issues and so we are patiently and efficiently handling those which means I can’t be away from the house ALL day. For drop-ins & walks I will come by your house however many times a day you need me to- 30-60 minutes at a time and feed them, play with them, walk them, whatever you’d need me to do! I will do this up to 3x a day. ** Due to gas prices being higher, if your location is 20 or minutes away, I will only do 60 minute walks/drop-ins. This makes the travel and time more manageable. (Traffic jams/accidents/rush hour are not factors in this. I understand those things can not be predicted). This is based solely on GPS and what the drive time is in general. I am sorry if this is an inconvenience for anybody, but with so many clients booking, the travel adds up time and money for gas on my end! As for HOUSE SITTING- I have two versions: 1) Lengthy visits throughout the day that require me to be there for several hours at a time OR more than 4 hours of drop-ins/walks. I do not stay the night, but spend a lot of time during the day starting at whatever time in the morning you’d need me to be there by! This option works out great for me since as stated above, I have a dog that requires special training and being gone all night can sometimes be tricky depending on what my husbands work schedule looks like for that scheduled time! & 2) house sitting but I stay the night. This means I will check-in and walk your dog periodically throughout the day & stay in your home at night with your pets! However, I do want to also mention here, I will have to spend some time away during the day to take care of my own dogs, but can be back and forth for several hours at each place- yours & mine! We can work out the best times and a schedule for me to leave to work around your dogs normal routine, no problem at all! REPEAT CLIENTS OR CLIENTS THAT HAVE USED ME IN THE PAST- read through some of the above information as some things have changed (like time I can spend in your home with house sitting!) if you’ve used me in the past, reach out to me before booking- and I will adjust and work with you- BECAUSE IN THE END IT IS BECAUSE OF YOU THAT MY ROVER BUSINESS HAS SEEN GROWTH AND SUCCESS! and I am so grateful! I am always looking for long-term clients! It helps both parties - you & me, by having a schedule and knowing what days you’ll need care whether that be daily because you work long hours and need someone to let your puppy out during the day or for someone who travels a lot for work or play and knowing you have someone reliable to always contact to watch your fur baby! If you chooose to be a long-term client, I do recommend trying to book me out 4-3 weeks out from when you’ll need me, so I can be sure to be available for you! I try to give my repeat clients and long-term clients, first come first serve! PUPPY RATES: I charge a puppy rate for any dog under the age of 1 year - that’s how Rover distinguishes a puppy. I charge a higher rate for pups considering they are usually much more work! HOWEVER, exceptions can be made. Talk with me and we will see. Some pups at 6 months old are already so well trained and house broken, while others may still be figuring it out- each dog is different so I will definitely work with you on this! Rover is currently my only job, so that means I have ALL the time in the world to love on and spoil your pups :) I take care of pets by doing exactly what the owners need from me. From daily walks, to sticking to a routine, keeping an eye on them while they are playing. I’m very attentive.

About: Hello! I hope this finds you well. When you book with me, you can rest assured you’ll be worry free! I bring a unique mix of veterinary experience and real world animal care. Before attending UCLA, I worked at a veterinary clinic where I administered medications, assisted with post op care, and handled pets of all temperaments. I’m comfortable with everything from kittens to senior pups. Growing up on a farm gave me hands on experience with dogs, cats, cattle, horses and a wide range of animals, so nothing fazes me. I focus on keeping pets calm, safe, and happy while providing owners with regular updates and peace of mind. My schedule is flexible. I adjust my schedule based on your pet’s needs. I’m an early riser, and I’m willing to wake up even earlier if needed. Routine medications are also available upon request. Safety is my first priority. I double check that all doors and gates are secure, keep a close eye on pets during outdoor time, and follow feeding and medication instructions precisely. Trust is everything, so I’ll ensure that you feel comfortable leaving your pet. I aim to keep pet(s) active with at least 3–4 walks or play sessions per day (adjusted to their needs) so they stay happy, healthy, and relaxed while you’re away.

I can’t say enough good things about Jennifer! She goes above and beyond, and even adding a last minute pet due to a boarding issue wasn’t a problem for her. She’s great at communicating and she takes great pictures. She had never met my GSD before her first visit but he took to her like an old friend. Isabella is hands down the best pet sitter I’ve had the privilege of hiring. She was very flexible with my last minute needs, her communication is top tier, and If there was ever a problem (my fault) she was good at letting me know. My puppy is a big fan of her per the daily photos I received. She has won me over as a repeat client and I look forward to taking another trip without the stress of worrying about my puppy’s needs. Thank you again, Isabella! (:

Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Tuscaloosa choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.

To find sitters in Tuscaloosa with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
