About: Hi! My name is Adrian, and I've been around dogs and cats for most of my life. I grew up helping care for large dogs and have always been the person my family relies on to feed, play with, and look after our pets. I especially love large breeds and enjoy spending time outdoors, playing, and making sure dogs get the attention and exercise they need. Every pet has their own personality, and I take the time to earn their trust so they feel comfortable and safe while you're away. I'll treat your pets with the same care and respect I'd want someone to show mine. I'm currently very flexible and have plenty of availability throughout the week for house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks. Because my schedule is open, I can dedicate plenty of attention to your pets instead of rushing between commitments. I communicate regularly, send photo updates, and always make sure owners know their pets are happy and well cared for. For everyone's safety and comfort, I currently only offer care in my client's home. My family dog is not comfortable around unfamiliar animals, so I don't provide boarding in my own home. When caring for pets in your home, I carefully follow your routines, make sure fresh water is always available, maintain feeding and bathroom schedules, provide plenty of attention and exercise, and send regular photo updates so you can relax while you're away. I also treat every home with the same respect and care that I would expect for my own. My goal is for you to come home to a happy pet and a clean home
“Truett loves Catherine! She was very responsive, timely, and loved on him during drop ins ! She came in when we lost our reoccurring sitter unexpectedly and she was flexible and quick to step in. So grateful for her! 10/10!”

About: I’ve owned animals for most of my life, dogs for 12 years, generally 1-3 at a time. Through caring for my own dogs, I’ve gained experience with feeding schedules, administering medication, walks, basic grooming, basic training, and noticing when something seems off. I recognize every dog has different personalities and energy levels and routines that are important. I believe pets deserve kindness, consistency, and attention, and I will care for your pets the same way I’d want mine to be taken care of. I work from home full time, so I can easily accommodate most schedules/times and every day of the week. I’m more of a night owl but can definitely figure out what will work best for you and me and your pet! I have a fenced in yard, we have 3 dogs in the home, who are playful and dog friendly. If you prefer them to be crated at night especially in a new strange place that is easily accommodated. Whatever you do with your pets I will do my best to replicate to keep them feeling comfortable and at home! I have no problem with communication via text/call about or during visits, and am happy to send update photos each day!
About: I have experience caring for multiple dogs and cats over the years, including feeding, grooming, walking, cleaning up after them, and making sure they stay healthy and comfortable. I’m familiar with handling different pet personalities and routines, and I understand the importance of patience, responsibility, and giving animals proper attention and care. I’m currently home from college so I have all the time in the world to tend to your babies when I’m needed! I’m available to walk and check in whenever you need me! I have a big backyard for your dog to run around and a dog of my own so they will never get bored, I also will crate them if that’s what you prefer
“Meena took very good care of my kitty boys when we were gone for vacation. We were so happy to find her after we moved to Birmingham. Like I said before, she is the best cat sitter we ever had. I can tell that she is a true animal lover, not just do it for job.”

About: Hi! I’m Connor. I am passionate about dogs and giving them the love and care they deserve. I have spent time volunteering for Shelby humane as well as adopting my two dogs. I have also both cared for and been around dogs my whole life. I would love to go above and beyond and treat your fur baby like I would my own! I am currently in school for real estate. this helps provide a flexible schedule for my potential clients. My dog is very active so we have lots of time to play! I am happy to follow any instructions you provide for your home, while making sure your dog is safe and taken care of! I am very diligent to ease your mind

About: I had a dog for almost 19 years of the first 20 years of my life. She was a sister to me so I understand that pets are family. When I take care of pets, I act as though they were my own. I give them all the love and attention they might want! I am willing to play fetch on end, take them on walks, take them to a park or on a hike, feed or walk whenever needed, and any other special requirements that the pet might need. I am very flexible and understand that certain pets require certain kinds of care. I work in office most of the week so I am usually only available on the weekends. I am usually available or can be flexible with enough notice. I cannot host in my own home but treat others’ homes as a guest. I try to stay out of the way as much as I can, depending on what you prefer me to do with your pet. If outside is preferable, we will stay outside as long as the heat permits! I am respectful that play time can be disruptive within the home and do my very best to be respectful when in someone else’s home.
“Loved Tanya and would use again! My cat's food, water, and litter was all good, and she apparently even cleaned up a mess my cats had made of some bread I forgot to put away according to my neighbor/grandmother (sorry about that, by the way!)”
About: I’ve been around animals my entire life and have been caring for pets since I was about 10 years old. I’ve cared for my own pets as well as the dogs and cats of family and friends, and I genuinely love getting to know every animal’s unique personality. I currently have 4 cats and 1 dog of my own, so I’m very comfortable with both dogs and cats and understand that every pet has different routines, personalities, and needs. Whether your dog needs a good walk, your cat needs some company while you’re away, or your pet simply needs someone to stop by, give them attention, and make sure everything is taken care of, I’m happy to help. My goal is simple: I want your pet to feel safe, comfortable, happy, and cared for while you’re away. Hi! I’m Cory, and animals have always been a huge part of my life. I currently have 4 cats and 2 dogs of my own, so I know firsthand how important it is to have someone you can actually trust when you can’t be there for your pets. I love spending time with animals, whether that’s going for a walk, playing with an energetic dog, giving a shy pet some time to warm up to me, or simply hanging out with them and giving them some attention and companionship. For drop-in visits, I can help with things like feeding, fresh water, bathroom breaks, walks, playtime, litter boxes, and making sure your pet is comfortable and happy. I’ll also make sure your home is left the way I found it. I currently work as a bartender Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM–6 PM, which gives me availability before and after work on those days. I’m also available throughout the rest of the week, including weekends and Mondays. Your pet’s routine matters to me. I’ll follow your instructions, respect their normal schedule, and keep you updated so you don’t have to wonder how they’re doing. I know how much I worry about my own pets when I’m away, and I want to give you that same peace of mind. I can’t promise your pet won’t end up liking me a little too much—but I’ll do my best. 🐶🐱 I love to sit and love on all the animals and play with them! I can take them on any length walk or just provide company for them

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Alabaster
We asked Danielle to do a last minute drop in for our dog when we were going out of town. She was very communicative, sent photos, and was very sweet and loving to our fur baby. I appreciated her responsiveness and the details she sent in her update when she checked in on our dog. Would definitely hire her again!

Amanda was incredible! My cat ended up with a UTI right before I left, and I was nervous to leave her. Amanda was able to administer her meds and reassure me she was in good hands. The photos were the highlight of my day everyday! My husband and I looked forward to seeing them! She followed my instructions to a T and I will definitely be using her again!

Dana is fantastic! She stopped by to let Albus and Tom out to potty, and everything went so smoothly. Tom can be a little shy and anxious with new people, but she was so patient and gentle that he warmed right up to her. Both boys were well-cared for and happy after her visit. Highly recommend!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone.
