About: I’ve grown up taking care of both cats and dogs, including small and large breeds. I currently have a chocolate lab who I walk, feed, and play with every day. I also have experience caring for senior dogs and cats, and I understand the extra patience, attention, and care they may need. I love cats and am comfortable feeding them, changing litter, playing with them, and giving them lots of attention. I’m reliable, caring, and truly enjoy being around animals! I am a full-time college student involved in a campus club, and I am currently looking for a part-time job, so my schedule may change as I balance school, work, and other outside activities. My current availability is 10 AM–2 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; 8–10 AM and 6–8 PM on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and open availability on Saturdays and Sundays. I’m happy to communicate with pet parents and work together to find a time that fits everyone’s schedule. I’m always mindful, respectful, and responsible when caring for pets in someone else’s home. I make sure to keep a clean and safe environment, follow instructions carefully, and handle everything with care. I understand how important trust is when someone is caring for your pets and home, and I’ll always do my best to make both you and your pets feel comfortable and secure.
“Katherine was so helpful and considerate to Trixie Cat, letting her out on the porch and giving her lots of pets :) it was such a relief to know that she was there for me and gave me reports during each visit. Next time I go out of town I will be sure to schedule Katherine again, and recommend her to my friends with pets”

About: I am a dependable and experienced pet sitter with over 8 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes and personalities. As someone who has grown up with and owned dogs, I understand the importance of providing pets with consistent care, attention, exercise, and affection while their owners are away. In addition to caring for my own dogs, I have regularly pet sat for neighbors and teammates, helping with feeding, walking, playtime, administering basic care, and maintaining pets’ daily routines. I am comfortable working with both large and small breeds and understand that every dog has unique needs and energy levels. I am currently taking supplemental online courses and am working part-time remotely, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for and play with your fur babies throughout the day! I live on 3 acres of property, giving dogs plenty of space to explore, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors under supervision. While the yard is not fenced, I prioritize safety and can keep dogs leashed, closely monitored, or crated when needed. I make sure pets receive daily walks, regular playtime, and plenty of attention throughout the day. For dogs that enjoy being active, I also occasionally take them on hikes to provide additional exercise and enrichment. I understand the importance of maintaining a pet’s normal routine and will follow feeding schedules, exercise needs, medication instructions, and any special care requests provided by the owner. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I treat their home and pets with the utmost respect, ensuring pets remain comfortable in their familiar environment while receiving attentive care. My goal is always to make pets feel safe and happy while their owners are away.

“Megan was wonderful with our cat Drake while we were away! She not only took great care feeding him she also played with him each day. She sent us such cute pictures of them playing every day! The only downside is I’m afraid he may be disappointed it’s us that comes home each day now and not her😂 We will definitely be getting her to come take care of him next time we are out of town.”

As a child I learned how to be responsible for my pets and all their daily care. I can’t say enough good things about Jennifer! She goes above and beyond, and even adding a last minute pet due to a boarding issue wasn’t a problem for her. She’s great at communicating and she takes great pictures. She had never met my GSD before her first visit but he took to her like an old friend. My animals were well cared for while I was away and I’m glad I found her

Anna was very sweet and patient with our three animals. One dog was a bit hesitant the first day but Anna was incredibly patient and got the dog to love her. She stayed to play with the dogs even if it went over the 30 mins that we paid for. The pictures she sent were adorable and we will definitely use her for our next trip.

Leah did such an amazing job watching out two cats while we were out of town! She was always on time, followed our instructions perfectly, and went above and beyond to make sure our boys were well taken care of! As someone who worries about leaving my pets at home alone, Leah’s daily updates were exactly what I needed for peace of mind. I would 100% recommend her for anyone looking for a great pet sitter!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
