“Dennis did a wonderful job watching my 13 month old Collie puppy. My dog is large and somewhat high energy and needs many miles of walks and Dennis did a wonderful job making sure that he got all of the mental and physical stimulation he needed. I got lots of picture updates, and felt very relaxed while leaving my dog while I was on vacation. Dennis also took great care of my home and was super responsive whenever I had questions. We did one meeting before I booked Dennis for the weekend, and then I booked him for one dog walk session before the Dog Sitting time because he was going to arrive after I had left. He was super open to everything and he reviewed my dog care instructions before I left. I felt like we had really clear really good communication. I’ve used several Rover pet sitters and Dennis is by far the best one that I’ve booked. I cannot recommend him enough! (unless you want him on the same weekend that I do and then I would still recommend him but I call dibs!)”

About: I’ve been caring for and training dogs for years, and I love helping them feel safe, happy, and understood. One of my earliest challenges was with my parents’ high-energy dog — I successfully trained him not to bolt out the door when it opened 🚪🐕 (no small feat!). That experience taught me the power of patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement. 🐶 My Rescue Story I was the sole caregiver for my own rescue dog, who came to me fearful of strangers and unsure around other dogs. Over time, I: • Helped her grow comfortable meeting new people & pups 🤝 • Taught her not to jump on visitors 🙅♀️ • Trained her to “check in” with me before leaving for walks 🚶♀️ • Built her confidence to stay calm when home alone 💤 💛 Why Dogs Love Me Beyond training, I’m experienced with daily walks, feeding, grooming, playtime, and creating a safe, loving environment. I’m skilled at reading dog body language 🐕🦺 so I can keep pups comfortable and stress-free. I’m available on weekends, as well as Mondays and Fridays. I’m also happy to stay over on Monday nights, as long as you don’t need me to stay past 8am the following morning. When I care for pets in your home, I follow your instructions closely to keep their routine consistent. I make sure they have fresh water, regular meals, and plenty of exercise and playtime. I pay close attention to their body language and comfort level, so I can adapt my approach to their needs. I also give lots of affection (if they enjoy it!) and keep their environment clean and safe. You’ll get updates with photos so you know they’re happy and cared for while you’re away.

Alix was so communicative and reliable! Even when I was dealing with flight delays and difficulties scheduling my trip, I felt safe leaving my dog Sam with her. And Sam clearly loves Alix! My dog escaped out my door to try and greet Alix when she returned my keys.

We are very happy to have found Lisette to housesit and take care of our new dog, Pony. This was our first trip away after adopting a dog with separation anxiety and some leash reactivity, so we were a bit nervous. Lisette came over for a meet-and-greet and was very calm and comfortable with Pony. On the day of our departure she came over right on time and jumped in with Pony, feeding him and taking him on a walk. She sent pictures twice a day and reassured us that things were going well. She also took great care of our apartment and left it very neat and tidy. We hope we can have her stay again next time.
