“Steffani and Josh continue to provide great care for my dog when my family goes away on vacation. They always make themselves available to us, and it has been great to have a dedicated family to watch our girl. Thank you!!”

“Patty was extremely thoughtful and sweet to my senior dog for a week stay. I didn't have to worry at all, and he came back nice and tired and happy. He even made a doggie friend during his stay! Plus, she sent me some really great photos of him.”

“Aubrey was a wonderful boarder for our dog, Pato! She sent fun updates and pictures regularly and communicated pick up and drop off clearly. We were nervous about how he would interact with her daycare dogs but she was patient and introduced him slowly and Pato seemed to have a great time. We will definitely be using Aubrey in the future!”

“Jason and his family take such great care of our sweet dog Ella every time we leave her in their care, that we would give them a 10 star review if possible! From the clear love and affection they have for her, the wonderful daily updates, and the Complete dedication to our pet makes them the perfect choice for us every time we go away. Jason and his family are simply the best and we can’t thank them enough for being such great friends and sitters to our darling Ella. Thanks again guys!”

“Chyann, was an amazing sitter for my baby. Beanie stayed with her for a week and throughout the entire stay she kept me updated with pictures and insight into how he was doing. She’s one of the more informed sitters on this platform and following our meet-and-greet I was completely sold on choosing her as a sitter. With the updates, smooth transition for drop-off, and Chyann’s warm personality I was completely at ease and confident throughout the boarding process. I’d definitely recommend choosing Chyann!”

“Kate is our new go-to for dog sitting. she provided such wonderful 1:1 care for our pup. He was very well taken care of and I felt well taken care of by her too, knowing my dog is in good hands made my vacation all the more relaxing. Thanks, Kate!”

About: I am a lifetime lover and owner of dogs. While other kids watched Saturday morning cartoons, I watched shows about dog training and dog breeds. I grew up around dogs of all types and have always loved having one by my side. Our family recently lost our dog, and while I’m not ready to commit to dog ownership full time, I miss having one around and want to help other families. I have experience walking different types of dogs that have varying levels of leash skills, managing special dietary and medication needs and can adapt to their activity requirements. If you have a dog that’s used to being part of an active family, or at least around one, I could be a great fit for you. I shared availability that accommodates long weekend boarding needs. This is when I consistently work from home or am off so that I can be around and give your dog the best care. You can expect regular breaks and walks for your dog on my work from home days. On the weekends, I will include your dog in my family activities. While busy, I am at our home base a lot, and much of the activity involves walking the borough, going on mini adventures in nearby parks, or hanging at our house with friends. Including a furry guest into my family-centered lifestyle is easy (and fun!) for me to do. I have a fenced in yard, live in an extremely walkable neighborhood, and have a gated off mudroom when your dog needs a little more space or down time. My kids understand animal boundaries well for their age and are used to respecting their space. While they will not be responsible for your dog’s care, they will be around. My cat is suspicious, but typically tolerant of dogs once he gets used to them.

“Griffin had a blast at Bronwen’s house. We got a ton of pictures and he loved running around her massive backyard. He gets so excited when we even say her name so we know he just loves staying at her house. Bronwen is definitely our go to dog sitter. Thanks!!!”

“Khaing is the best! She took good care of my cat (Lexx) for 5 days. She kept me updated & sent me pictures everyday. She also does pick up & drop of service which is very convenient for me. Thank you Khaing i appreciate everything and also for the new toys your gave Lexx. He loves it! I will be using your service again in the future. Take care!”

“Olivia was so great with Babaganoush! She was very patient about all his quirks and neediness, and her frequent updates and photos made us feel at ease. So grateful he had a loving place to stay. Thank you Olivia!”

“Loved her! She kept me up to date daily with a photo, video, or comments regarding my dog, Sadie. She was attentive to any concerns I had in the beginning as my dog has food allergies, and she assured me she would follow my instructions regarding her care completely. I will be using her again!”

“Tamikia came through clutch when I needed a last minute sitter for my fur baby and she took excellent care of him. She is the most responsive host you’ll ever encounter and she sent regular updates of Brodee without prompting which I really appreciated since it was his first time with her. Definitely worth the trip over the bridge (I’m from NJ)!”

“I couldn't have chosen better sitters than Emma and Collin. It was my anxious 7 year old dog's first time being boarded. She was nervous at first, but, Emma and Collin k ew how to make her comfortable and she ended up really enjoying her stay and the other dogs. So thankful I found these two!!”

“Bryce was available on short notice and remained responsive over DMs throughout our interactions. I got lots of photos and updates on Wallace during his stay. I would recommend anyone to place their pet in Bryce's cade.”

“Carly took excellent care of my dog! She was incredibly responsive, provided frequent updates with adorable pictures, and gave him so much love and attention. He got plenty of exercise and came back happy and well cared for. I really appreciated the peace of mind while I was away. Would absolutely use her again!”

“Andreah is great, she sent updates throughout my Dogs stay with her. I’m usually very hesitant giving my dog to other people and she helped put me in ease with her level of care. I think my dog had a really great time as well which is what really matters!”

“Heather was wonderful with Sauce for his overnight stay! She was very communicative from the start and made time for a meet and greet beforehand. Her home was lovely and very pet friendly, and she asked lots of questions to make sure Sauce would be comfortable, well cared for, and a good fit in her home overnight. While we were away, she sent pictures and kept me updated on how Sauce was doing and what he was up to, which gave me great peace of mind. Heather was super pleasant, easy-going, and clearly thoughtful about the dogs she cares for. Sauce seemed happy and comfortable with her, and I would absolutely use Heather again.”

Very good excellent, send pictures, Very lovely to the dog. very clean environment. My Dog loves her. I will recommend anyone if they need a dog sitter. Very professional individual. I was very scared to leave my dog for the first time with anyone, but I will do it again thank you so much.

Andres was a great boarder for our dog. He accommodated us when I booked wrong and added a day at the last minute. There is a nice fenced in area in the shade for dogs to romp in. I received pictures of my dog who seemed comfortable at Andres’ house. I would definitely use Andres again for boarding.

We are so happy that we found Meredith to watch our Sweetest Girl, Mollie ( Beagle) She was with Meredith for 4 nights and did great - from the minute we met Meredith we knew Mollie was in good hands! She sent us photos and gave us updates on her. We plan on using Meredith again and again….its nice to know we have a reliable dog sitter we can count on and she’s only 5 minutes from our house.

Beth was great with Maddy as always! So happy we have found someone we trust to watch our sweet girl, we know she is in good hands when she’s with Beth. This last visit was almost 2 weeks and Maddy needed daily medications for her arthritis and a UTI - Beth religiously made sure Maddy took all her meds every day.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in PA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
