About: I’m a WFH dog mom in Berkeley with decades of experience caring for small and senior pups. I specialize in 0–40 lb dogs, seniors, and dogs who need a little extra patience or medication support. I’ve cared for dogs since I was 8, starting with neighborhood pups and eventually my own dog, Silky, who was with me for 17 years. Since then I’ve had two more dogs and regularly care for friends’, family’s, and neighbors’ pets. I’m comfortable following detailed routines, giving oral medications, and reinforcing training you’re already working on. My goal is for your dog to feel like part of the family while you’re away. PS If your dog enjoys (or needs lots of) exercise, I’m happy to provide long walks or gentle runs. I'm currently working from home so have plenty of time to spend with your pups! I am available during the day on weekdays and can coordinate nights and weekends. I live in a single‑family home in San Jose with a fully fenced, pup‑proofed yard. Your dog can relax on the couch, nap in the sun, or hang out with my friendly 14‑year‑old poodle‑terrier mix. Because I work from home, dogs are rarely left alone and can go out for potty breaks every 0–2 hours. I keep a close eye on introductions and always do slow, supervised meet‑and‑greets so everyone feels safe.

She was very thorough and also was able to be flexible when needed. I trust that she is creating an exceptionally safe and caring environment while taking care of my puppy. About: Hi, I’m a teacher M-F and I’m hoping to earn extra $ to offset travel expenses from this past summer and to save for future travel. I love animals and think of this as a win/ win! The photos in my profile are of dogs I’ve cared for over the years (for friends, neighbors, family, and through Trusted Housesitters where I’ve stayed in people’s homes). I look forward to meeting you and your treasured pet. Free and flexible during the day and evening! During the summer months I don’t work. During the school year I’m free between 4pm - 10pm. I’m happy to care for pets in my own home once I’ve gotten to know them as a dog walker. I live near Hampton Park and it is a very dog friendly neighborhood.

About: Hi there! My name is Bella, and I’d love to help care for your furry friends. I have six years of experience with pet and house sitting. I used to volunteer at the humane society, so I am very familiar and comfortable with animals and their needs. I've worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and abilities (deaf, blind, etc.). I’m local to Sausalito, and am happy to help you out if you’re located in Marin. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions! We both work remotely and have flexible schedules. My partner, Michael, is also on my account and he serves as my backup, in case I ever need it. :) Communication is key! Please let me know if there are any special circumstances related safety for your pet. Personally, I keep cameras around my home for ease of mind, so I understand if you do the same.

About: Dogs are the light of my life! I've given forever homes to 7 German Shepherds, 2 Poodles and 4 Mixes. I've had extensive experience caring for them through various illnesses & am very knowledgeable about both their physical and emotional needs. I trained all of them myself with modernizing the methods as the practices changed over time. In High School I worked for a veterinary clinic washing dogs and administering vaccines as well as meds. I was a teacher for 20 years and am super resourceful. I've always had dogs. For me, life would be empty without them, and I'm one of these crazy people who would do absolutely anything to meet their needs!! You can definitely trust that I'll do everything to give your dog the best!! I LOVE DOGS & CATS!! Not to mention horses, ponies and rabbits! I love to house sit and spend my time with any wonderful canine or animal! They'll be given the absolute best of care and companionship when I'm there 24/7 the rest of the week! I'm a retired teacher of 20 years, in great physical condition, and want to do this full time. I LOVE DOGS AND CATS!! I've always worked in the helping professions as a teacher and behavioral case manager for the homeless. Now I want to do what means the most to me....spend my time with animals and give them the best experience possible!! Number 1, follow the directions of the client relative to their animals. Number 2, be respectful of their environment. Number 3, do all the extras possible for the animals including companionship. Number 4, leave the house as nice as it was on my arrival date.

About: Dogs are like us in a way. They appreciate good company. I love to hike on weekends. If your dog likes the beach, we can go there too. Some dogs lean into a slower pace and short walks. I’m here for all of it. The important thing is that your pet is happy. My experience ranges from 15 to 90 lb. breeds of all ages. I’m excited to meet you and yours. Dogs were always a part of my family as a child. My pet sitting experience ranges from 15 to 90 lb. breeds of all ages. I've helped owners with crate training and acclimating young pets to voice recall. I’ve also helped support owners with senior dogs find creative ways to brighten their pup’s day to day lifestyle. Please say hello and let me know how I can help. I'm fortunate to work from home. Your dog and I get more time to enjoy each other's company. It also makes it easier for us to spend more time outdoors and less time commuting. I love to hike on weekends and bring a dog with me. If your dog likes the beach, we can go there too. I'll even make fresh dog-friendly food for your pet with your approval. I’m excited to meet you and yours.

About: I grew up with dogs and have owned 3 dogs in my adulthood including two mixed-breed rescues from Milo and a pure-bread yellow lab at 6 weeks. Marielle was exactly who we needed to help with our dogs; we're so grateful to have found her! She confidently handled our two dogs walking through the neighborhood, including one that has some leash aggression and one that is prone to eating whatever he can find. She was punctual, communicative, and reported all the details of the walks each day - including photos! We knew our dogs were in good hands; we'll definitely be contacting her again for future walks. She's the best!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
