About: I'm the friend who everyone asks to take care of their dog (including senior dogs). I love our furry friends—and appreciate every families trust. I raised a Bichon puppy and later cared for her as a 12 year old senior dog. I have fostered and helped to train 4 rescue dogs through the Milo Foundation and frequently pop by to volunteer walk Milo dogs. I am an executive who works from home so I am at the dog's side non-stop and have the flexibility to take several walks a day. I'm also a 5 minute drive to Blackie's Pasture for longer walks. I have a super clean home. The dogs are allowed everywhere. I have a very clean, safe home. I also have access to popular dog parks/walks. I pay close attention to dietary restrictions, etc. And when it comes to passing another dog on leash I always ask if the dog is friendly. I'm a mom to an 11 year old—I care for dogs like they are kiddos.

Gage is so great! My dog is truly hit or miss with humans and the moment Gage walked in the door, he was immediately excited and happy to have found a new friend. Gage is always on time, incredibly thoughtful and polite and a true dog whisperer. He’s taken such great care of my boy while going through postpartum recovery and I couldn’t have made it the past four months without him. I would never chose to go with anyone else but sadly, we are moving and I hope my dog will remember that I can be fun too! I highly recommend Gage to anyone, you won’t regret his immense kindness and respect for animals, five stars all around!

About: I grew up with dogs and have owned 3 dogs in my adulthood including two mixed-breed rescues from Milo and a pure-bread yellow lab at 6 weeks. My experience ranges from puppyhood to senior dog care, as well as behavior issues including fear, resource, and leash aggression. I attune to a dog's needs and understand their body language and boundaries. I am responsible, reliable and have a deep love and respect for animals. I am a teacher on summer break, so my schedule is fairly open and flexible aside from occasional travel. I have reliable transportation and can accommodate last minute needs. My services include in-home visits (feedings, medications, playtime, companionship) and walks. I'm able to do a neighborhood walk or drive to a local trailhead for a hike.

I’m here for all of it. The important thing is that your pet is happy. My experience ranges from 15 to 90 lb. breeds of all ages. I’m excited to meet you and yours. Dogs were always a part of my family as a child. My pet sitting experience ranges from 15 to 90 lb. breeds of all ages. About: Hi there! My name is Bella, and I’d love to help care for your furry friends. I have six years of experience with pet and house sitting. I used to volunteer at the humane society, so I am very familiar and comfortable with animals and their needs. I've worked with dogs of all ages, sizes, and abilities (deaf, blind, etc.). I’m local to Sausalito, and am happy to help you out if you’re located in Marin. Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions! We both work remotely and have flexible schedules. My partner, Michael, is also on my account and he serves as my backup, in case I ever need it. :) Communication is key! About: I adopted my first cat in 2018, and have been obsessed ever since. I currently have two cats, Mac and Marty, and they are my best friends. Since owning cats, I have been dedicated to educating myself about how to keep them happy, healthy, and feeling secure in their environment. I know to be extremely patient with cats, to let them set the rules and boundaries for how they want to interact with you, and to look out for changes in behavior that can act as subtle but very important health indicators. I also know that cats require a lot of attention, different kinds of enrichment, and a high level of care. I work from home full-time, so I am available most weekdays after 5pm and all day on weekends. I have flexibility within the day as well, depending on the length of a home visit. Demonstrating a high level of care for your home and pets is extremely important to me (I respect no-shoes-inside policies). I'm happy to adjust to you and your pets needs to make sure I am providing the highest level of service that I can. I aim to build confidence and trust that things are taken care of while you are away.

About: Dogs are the light of my life! I've given forever homes to 7 German Shepherds, 2 Poodles and 4 Mixes. I've had extensive experience caring for them through various illnesses & am very knowledgeable about both their physical and emotional needs. I trained all of them myself with modernizing the methods as the practices changed over time. In High School I worked for a veterinary clinic washing dogs and administering vaccines as well as meds. I was a teacher for 20 years and am super resourceful. I've always had dogs. For me, life would be empty without them, and I'm one of these crazy people who would do absolutely anything to meet their needs!! You can definitely trust that I'll do everything to give your dog the best!! I LOVE DOGS & CATS!! Not to mention horses, ponies and rabbits! I love to house sit and spend my time with any wonderful canine or animal! They'll be given the absolute best of care and companionship when I'm there 24/7 the rest of the week! I'm a retired teacher of 20 years, in great physical condition, and want to do this full time. I LOVE DOGS AND CATS!! I've always worked in the helping professions as a teacher and behavioral case manager for the homeless. Now I want to do what means the most to me....spend my time with animals and give them the best experience possible!! Number 1, follow the directions of the client relative to their animals. Number 2, be respectful of their environment. Number 3, do all the extras possible for the animals including companionship. Number 4, leave the house as nice as it was on my arrival date.

Carter was great with my dog Nellie! She’s a senior dog with varying levels of energy depending on the day. I really appreciated that Carter took the time to do a meet and greet with us beforehand, he asked questions and listened and I felt really good about the walk we booked. When he came for the walk, he followed all my instructions and adapted to Nellie‘s needs for that day, making sure to have a little play time with her as well. He followed up with a thorough update. And I’ve already booked him for another walk!

Marielle was exactly who we needed to help with our dogs; we're so grateful to have found her! She confidently handled our two dogs walking through the neighborhood, including one that has some leash aggression and one that is prone to eating whatever he can find. She was punctual, communicative, and reported all the details of the walks each day - including photos! We knew our dogs were in good hands; we'll definitely be contacting her again for future walks. She's the best!

  • 95% can help with daily exercise

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
