About: I have trained a pit Bull (off leash and crate trained) & Frenchie (puppy pads & leash trained), fostered cats, and cleaned fish aquariums. When in doubt, take your puppy on a walk! I work remotely and am flexible to help out with caring for animals by taking them on a walk/hike or having them over for the night. I have a fenced in front and back yard but would train the dog to poop/pee while going for a walk. I hike Mandeville canyon weekly and would be happy to take your dog with me for exercise.
“Wonderful sitter! Took great care of Scout and kept me updated with photos/videos. Scout went on fun hikes and looked so happy and well cared for the entire time. Highly recommend!”

“Sara was just wonderful with our little Chihuahua mix Toaster. She provided lots of pictures and updates, took him on many walks, and appreciated his affectionate Velcro-dog tendencies. I look forward to booking her again in the near future!”

“Ellen did a great job watching our standard poodle! She was great with communication around pick up and drop off as well as regular updates. Our poodle seemed content and well cared for when we picked him up.”

“We had a great experience with Alex. She's professional and easy to communicate with, and most importantly she took very good care of our dog for over two weeks. We got regular updates with photos, and it was especially nice to see how well our dog got along with hers.”

“Edison is amazing! Just from our initial messages, I knew that our dog was in great hands; he took the time to assess our dog’s behaviors and training needs, while making sure that he was happy and at ease with positive reinforcement. He made a plan for handling our dog’s issues with other dogs and with excited pulling on the leash. Edison was kind enough to show me how to continue this training at home, to keep up the good work. We received so many photos and videos throughout the weekend—eating, relaxing at home, exploring the city, doing different activities, training, and even Edison cleaning him from head to tail at the end of the day. We would absolutely recommend Edison to anyone looking for attentive and thoughtful care for their dog!”

“Adriana was such a wonderful sitter for our dog Raffie! We received lots of daily updates and cute photos. Raffie loved all her walks and snuggles. We couldn’t be happier with the care she received and we will definitely be booking with Adriana again!”

“Ariane looked after our dog for four nights while we were away, and she was amazing! Our dog immediately took to her and I could tell he would be in the best hands. He looked so comfortable and happy when I picked him up, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. She was very communicative and sent daily photos and videos of him. We look forward to using Ariane again soon!”

About: I have been a registered nurse for over seven years and have lots of experience caring for animals, in addition to humans! Before becoming a nurse, I volunteered at a local dog shelter and gained several years of experience with dog walking and boarding. I am dependable, kind, and responsible, and I will take excellent care of your pup. I now live with Kobe, my 6.5-year-old Standard Poodle, in a dog-friendly apartment. Kobe is incredibly sweet, well-trained, and wonderful with other dogs. She is calm, playful, and very social, and she genuinely enjoys having canine friends around. She’s especially great for dogs who enjoy a friendly companion and some positive socialization! Kobe is gentle and respectful with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and she’s also wonderful with people. She loves to play, go for walks, explore, and then relax with her favorite humans. She truly is the best girl and would love to welcome your pup into our home! 🐾❤️ I work full time but I live about a 15 minute walk from my work and I also work from home 1-2 days/week. My schedule is somewhat flexible. I typically am available 4:30pm and onward each night with availability on the weekends. I live in a dog-friendly apartment building and my apartment is well set up for overnight stays. I live near several walking paths and parks in a safe part of Mission Bay.

“Katie was fantastic with our little lady! She provided lots of picture updates, communicated great, and I could tell Cedar had a great time with her. I trust Katie to take good care of our dog :) grateful!”

“Matthew and Bryant took wonderful care of our Reba! They sent daily updates and included Reba on all of their adventures. They even took her to the beach! We felt that Reba was very well cared for and we got back a very happy puppy. We would absolutely recommend Matthew and Bryant to anyone!”

“Anurag and his family took great care of Zorro! They were very attuned to his needs and his love for catching his ball. He send pics and videos which made me happy. I highly recommend Anurag and his family!”

“We found Remo in a pinch just a few days prior to our upcoming trip. Thereafter, Remo gladly came to the park nearest our house to meet our French Bulldog for the first time. We are new to the SF bay area, and previously have never boarded a dog at a kennel. Usually our babies stay with family, but this was not possible in a new city. To compound things, we had never left our 5 month old Frenchie, Latch, alone for more than about 4 hours at a time. I was uncomfortable leaving him with someone he didn't really like or in a facility where no staff was available at night, so we were hoping Latch and Remo would hit it off. At the first meeting, Latch was instantly drawn to Remo! He brought along another dog he was keeping at the time (that was also a puppy) that was clearly comfortable with Remo. He explained how he takes the dogs to an array of parks, and that pups in his care are watched 24/7. We were very impressed with his knowledge and enthusiasm for dogs! He was an extremely outgoing and kind individual that also offered us a lot of information about exploring the city and best places to hike. Our anxiety about leaving our baby for the first time was eliminated after the first meeting! Remo has a fantastic personality and a beautiful home with a gorgeous fenced in yard where your baby can play. With Remo, your dog is cared for 24/7 and not confined to a kennel. Remo consistently uploaded photos each day of the many park adventures, and of Latch making himself comfortable in Remo's home, playing at the park with other dogs, and exploring the city. It was fun logging in each morning to see what our baby had been up to and knowing he had been properly cared for. During his stay with Remo, Latch got to explore more parks than he's ever been to with his own parents- we are likely going to have to step it up after this! I highly recommend Remo to anyone who considers their dog a member of the family and wants to ensure a loving and caring environment while they are away. We had a fantastic experience, and are so glad to have found the perfect pet sitter! ”

“Matt and Amanda were absolutely wonderful with my dog! They were kind, attentive and kept me updated with messages and photos throughout the stay. My dog came home happy and relaxed - I could tell that she was really well cared for. I'd definitely book with them again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving sitter!”

“Our pup Edie had the best 6 days with Derek, Stella, and their dog Lucy. We received daily updates including adorable photos too! We know Edie was well cared for and had a blast. This was our very first Rover experience and we are so happy that we found Derek and Stella.”

“Emily was wonderful! We arranged a meeting in advance to give my dog a chance to see the space and place. Then Emily was flexible with timing as we firmed up plans. She took great care of Aubrey and her dog Gigi was a super pal for Aubrey.”

“We love having Oreo stay with Brandon when we’re out of town! Oreo always seems very relaxed, and has a great time getting snuggles and belly rubs during her visits. Brandon is always super communicative and accommodating, and we always feel welcome in his home. Will definitely always love to have Brandon sit for Oreo! Thank you!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Tamalpais-Homestead Valley
I am a first time user of Rover and it was such a great experience! Ellen was so great with our 4.5 month old puppy. We did a meet up before our trip so we could meet. She has the perfect set up for dogs at her home. She was caring for a couple other dogs, including a puppy, so it was great socialization for ours. Ellen's temperament is sweet and caring - there is no doubt she is a dog lover! I am so happy to have found her. We will definitely use her again!

We had such a great experience with Alisa! She was very communicative and took wonderful care of Maverick. Her whole family welcomed him in and gave him lots of love and attention. We felt so comfortable knowing he was in great hands and will absolutely be booking with her again!

Sarah was great with my pup, who is usually pretty high maintenance and has a lot of anxiety when I leave. Sarah sent a lot of photos and updates and I was glad to see her doing well and socializing with some other small dogs too! My dog up was also super calm when I picked her up.

Caroline did a phenomenal job taking care of our little guy. She was able to move her schedule around to accommodate a meet and greet before we left town, and we instantly knew that Odie would be in good hands. We got plenty of updates and photos along the way. Would recommend Caroline to anyone looking for a top notch sitter.

Rosa and Kevin took great care of Lulu. Lulu ate some garbage. They took Lulu to an emergency veterinarian and had her stomach pumped. probably saving Lulu much discomfort or serious inflammation/internal injury. These people have earned our maximum respect, for caring for their boarder. We would recommend them to other Rover boarders.

Halee took such loving care of our Frenchie Avocado! She was very communicative the whole time, sending updates and photos which we loved. Location is very convenient, and her space is great for dogs; also close to several places to run around and socialize. Highly recommended!

Our dog had an amazing time with Diana! We got frequent updates on their fun adventures from the dog parks to running around her house and helping with homework (lol), and much more! Honestly our dog has been so well behaved after spending ~6 days with Diana. Highly recommend to everyone!

Mariia and Ethan were just flat out fantastic! They immediately sent pics, videos, and written updates about my dog. Each time they were showing or stating where they were, what they were doing, and how he was responding. They did this morning, mid day and evening. It was comforting to me for having that while I was away. But the literal SMILE on my dog’s face said it all. They were so caring, thoughtful and detailed in his care as well. The added bonus was my meatball dog was returned fit, calm and happy. I could not give a higher recommendation. Will definitely be using them as my go to. They are wonderful!

Frequently asked questions about Rover
Rover is the largest marketplace for local pet care. Whether you're looking for pet sitters, dog walkers, or house sitters who specialize in pet sitting, you can narrow your search by entering your ZIP code to find sitters within walking distance in your neighborhood.
Every sitter on Rover has their own routine. Depending on the arrangements you agree on before the stay, a sitter can follow your dog’s regular feeding schedule, provide a comfortable place to sleep, offer companionship, and support their usual exercise and play needs.
Depending on the sitter, their home environment, and your dog’s needs, daily exercise may include walks, outdoor play, indoor enrichment activities, or supervised play with compatible dogs. These activities are not automatically included with every booking, so ask the sitter what a typical day looks like.
During the Meet & Greet, discuss your dog’s usual exercise and play routine, whether they can safely interact with other dogs, and any activities or restrictions the sitter should follow. You can also ask the sitter to send photo and message updates during the stay so you can see how your dog is spending their time.
Preparing for drop-off is easy when you have a checklist! To help your dog settle into their Tamalpais-Homestead Valley home-away-from-home, we recommend packing:
- Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
- Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.
- Special instructions such as a list of training cues, medical administration needs, or favorite hang-out spots in your Tamalpais-Homestead Valley.
<b>Tip:</b> You can upload your dog’s routine and medical info directly onto their profile so your sitter always has the details at their fingertips.
You and your Tamalpais-Homestead Valley sitter can schedule drop-off and pick-up in a way that works best for the both of you—and your dog. Most sitters offer flexible times for drop-off and pick-up but the easiest way to confirm those times will be through in-app messaging. Confirm your arrival time the day of pick-up and drop-off can also help keep the process smooth and organized.
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to 25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in CA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
