I’ve used Steven several times now. He’s so great with Oslo and is always quick to respond. I travel a lot and sometimes have to go on last minute trips. He’s always there for my fur baby and great at communicating with me!

Dillon has been awesome! He communicates well and is understanding. If he can accommodate last-minute changes, he will. Draco is smiling in almost every picture that is submitted on his Rover card; it brings me a tremendous peace of mind when I have to work long days to know that Dillon is there giving my boy rubs, loves and treats!

I cannot say enough amazing things about Kara, she's just flat the best there is. She has walked and watched Ellie now for months. Ell isn't an easy walker, she's leash aggressive and very strong. Kara made me feel so comfortable leaving Ellie with her. Kara never made me feel bad for Ellie's tendencies and gave the most thorough reviews of walks to keep my mind at ease. She learned how to use Ellie's e-collar and Ellie just fell in love with her. Kara kept her safe, saw to any needs such as feeding, getting her water and answering any questions I had. I am a little anxious when it comes to Ellie with her aggressive history and Kara went above and beyond to keep Ellie safe and my mind at ease. I wish we could take you with us to Kansas, Kara!! Until next time!

About: I have been house sitting for coworkers and family since I was 15 years old, and I adore it! I love all types of pets, and have taken care of both cats and dogs. I also raised a 10 week old puppy who is 5 years old now, and he’s very well behaved with no bad behaviors. I am a full time university student, but when spending time taking care of someone’s pet, I do take care to disclose my class schedule. I would do best for pets that are okay being alone for 5-7 hours at a time, as I have some back-to-back classes that I can’t miss. I am very passionate about animals and I love spending quality time with dogs and cats, so when I am with the pets I will be able to give them undivided attention. When in a clients home, I take great care in making sure that the pet stays safe and in no trouble. I make sure that any outside access is monitored and/or closed off to being able to escape or get into danger. I also stay mindful about not leaving things out for a potential animal to get into, and when I am home with your furry friend, I do everything I can to keep my eyes on them!

About: I have been involved with dog rescues throughout my entire life. I know how to work with dogs with big personalities and those that are a bit shy, as well. I have a lot of patience and understanding when it comes to dogs with challenging pasts and I am happy to help them work through any trust issues at their own pace. I have owned dogs for as long as I can remember and I am always the friend go volunteer to walk other people's dogs when they need help. I know the value of exercise and enrichment for dogs and I know how to make those connections with them. I am experienced in bathing, walking, playing with and feeding dogs of all sizes and breeds. Over the summer I have completely open availability and any consistency would be appreciated as I am getting married this summer and need the funds for my wedding. I can ensure that the dogs are fed, have plenty of water, have had play time and have gone on walks. I will make sure the dog gets a lot of interaction time.

About: I have over 6 years experience of house/pet sitting(from another website) caring for a variety of animals, fish, dogs, birds, cats, goats, a donkey, a llama and chickens. I am comfortable and confident with almost all domestic animals. I am a retired Registered Nurse with over 30 years experience in various fields of medicine. I am now a full time house and pet sitter travelling around(by car) the continental US and Canada caring for other's beloved fur family. My past nursing experience plus my 6 years of house/pet sitting has made me highly observant and attentive to the smallest details. While I am calm and easygoing I am also excellent in challenging and emergency situations being both independent and self reliant. I love dogs and cats but do not have any of my own due to my gypsy like lifestyle. I have traveled a fair bit in my life having a curious mind and a zest for learning and experiencing new things. I am very neat and clean.....so your home will be just as you left it while respecting your property.

About: I’ve had animals my whole life, including both large dogs and cats. I previously worked in a veterinary clinic, so I’m comfortable with a wide range of personalities and care needs. I genuinely love getting outside for walks and hikes, and I’m happy to take your pup for a run if that’s their thing! My goal is to make sure your pet feels safe, happy, and well cared for while you’re away. I tailor each day to your pet’s energy level and needs! Active dogs can expect walks, park time, and play, while more relaxed pets get gentler stimulation and calm cuddles. With my work-from-home schedule, your pet gets consistent care, supervision, and a low-stress environment! I treat every pet like they’re my own—safe, supervised, and well cared for. I’m experienced with a wide range of temperaments and sizes, and I’m comfortable administering medications as directed (including injections!). I maintain each pet’s routine as closely as possible and prioritize a calm, low-stress environment.

About: Animals are my whole heart—I have 8 years of experience in veterinary medicine, so I’m comfortable caring for pets in both joyful moments and emergencies. I’m known for my calm, safe energy that animals instantly trust, and I always meet them where they’re at emotionally and physically. Pet sitting is my side passion outside of running my own small business. I genuinely love making each animal’s day a little brighter. Whether it’s snuggles, playtime, or just quiet company, I treat every pet like family. My schedule is super flexible! I work remotely as a travel planner during the day, and I only work a few evenings a week at a small part-time job. That means I’m available most days—mornings, afternoons, and even random times throughout the week. I’m great for last-minute requests or midday visits, and I can easily work pet care into my routine. While I’m not currently offering in-home boarding, I’m very comfortable providing drop-in visits and care in clients’ homes. I approach each visit with the same level of professionalism, honesty, and respect that I’ve practiced in veterinary offices for the past 8 years. I fully understand that a home is a private space, and I treat it—and every pet—with the highest level of care, trust, and integrity. Safety and comfort always come first, for both pets and their people.

About: I've been taking care of my own dogs since I was a child and have regularly helped neighbors and family friends with their cats and dogs while they were away- even my friend's mice while they were traveling and my previous roommate's three rats. I'm home from college for the summer and would love to spend my time with your pets! I have a very flexible daily schedule that can adapt to the needs of your pet. My parents have two dogs, one of which is very loving but does not handle other dogs very well. Because of this, I'm not comfortable bringing pets back to my home, but I am very willing to come to your pets to take care of and spend time with them. I am available for shorter drop-in visits, with feeding, play time, and/or walks, as well as longer visits and overnight stays with your pet.

  • 96% can help with giving oral medications or injections
  • 96% can help with daily exercise

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
