Allie was super communicative and matched our puppies energy. She was great, gave us very great pictures and very detailed reports. She is observant and in tune with a dog's constitution and emotions. I highly recommend her as a dog walker.

About: I have have multiple years of caring for people's pets. I was a professional housekeeper with my own business for over 20 years and also cared for their animals when they were away. I have been a long time pet owner myself and recently my fur babies passed away. I am looking to earn a little extra income as a senior while enjoying the company of animals. I am a senior and I am retired. Recently my fur babies passed away and I am looking to supplement my income while caring for people's pets. I really miss having animals in my home. I live in a senior mobile home park and I have a fenced in yard. I make sure that animals are safe, fed watered, walked and get plenty of potty breaks. They will get lots of love. I keep the yard clear of poop so that their environment is healthy for them.

About: I have been house sitting for coworkers and family since I was 15 years old, and I adore it! I love all types of pets, and have taken care of both cats and dogs. I also raised a 10 week old puppy who is 5 years old now, and he’s very well behaved with no bad behaviors. I am a full time university student, but when spending time taking care of someone’s pet, I do take care to disclose my class schedule. I would do best for pets that are okay being alone for 5-7 hours at a time, as I have some back-to-back classes that I can’t miss. I am very passionate about animals and I love spending quality time with dogs and cats, so when I am with the pets I will be able to give them undivided attention. When in a clients home, I take great care in making sure that the pet stays safe and in no trouble. I make sure that any outside access is monitored and/or closed off to being able to escape or get into danger. I also stay mindful about not leaving things out for a potential animal to get into, and when I am home with your furry friend, I do everything I can to keep my eyes on them!

On my days off, I have even more time to provide walks, playtime, and personalized attention, so your pet will always receive the love and care they deserve. Pets are welcome to freely roam throughout my home in a safe, comfortable environment. I’ve grown up around all sorts of animals, also including farm animals and reptiles, I have also helped facilitate 3 Labrador litters. Caring for animals is a huge passion of mine so I am grateful to have the opportunity to spend my time doing this. I am super flexible and under standing. About: Look, anyone can watch a pet. My thing? I actually listen. Seriously. My superpower is picking up on what animals are trying to tell me—be it a happy purr, a 'back off' bark, or a goat's casual bleat for attention. Being a digital nomad means my schedule is entirely my own, so I can truly be present and adapt to their needs, not some rigid clock. Playtime? Cuddles? Or just needing space? I read the room (or yard, or barn). I've got hands-on experience with everything from puppies to pigs, so your critters are always in genuinely attuned hands. This isn't just some gig; it's about making a real connection, deeply. As a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That means no rushing off to an office, no rigid 9-to-5, and definitely no 'squeezing in' pet time. I build my day around the animals I'm caring for. If a dog needs an extra walk, or a cat wants a sudden play session When I'm caring for your pets, my absolute focus is on maintaining their normal routine and comfort right there in their own space. I'm not just showing up to feed and split; I'm integrating into their lives. That means sticking to their feeding schedule, managing medications if needed, and keeping their environment exactly how you left it—clean, familiar, and totally stress-free. Here's the deal: as a digital nomad, my work goes where I go, and my schedule is completely my own. That translates directly into true presence for your pets. If I'm house sitting for you, your animals essentially become my co-workers. That means spontaneous play sessions, consistent outdoor time, and me being fully available. You'll get regular updates so you're never left wondering. Ultimately, it comes down to being attuned to their unique needs and ensuring they feel as comfortable, happy, and loved as they do with you, without ever having to leave their familiar surroundings.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs sizes small to medium since age 13. I have trained 3 family owned dogs and own a cat and snake myself. I’m working towards giving them the best life possible and hope to work with animals full time one day. Out of a job right now so my availability is very open. Clear communication and nice words are appreciated. My energy is not the best but I’m working on it, can’t quite keep up with a malinois yet. My cat has grown up with 4 dogs in one house and doesn’t mind them much and take as much time as possible to make sure they are comfortable. I have experience walking dogs that do not know how leashes are supposed to work and I’m very patient. I am responsible and can take care of your cherished pet and clean up after them if necessary. Also had a dog who thought trash on the ground was the holy grail.

About: I have over 14 years of experience caring for dogs and cats of all breeds, sizes, ages, and personalities. My background includes lifelong pet ownership, kennel work, veterinary shadowing, and professional pet sitting through Rover. I am comfortable caring for energetic puppies, senior pets, dogs requiring medications (including oral and injectable medications), and pets with special routines or needs. My goal is to provide a calm, structured home where every pet feels safe and comfortable. I understand that every dog is different—some love to play, while others simply want a quiet place to relax. I tailor each stay to your pet's personality, energy level, and routine whenever possible. Safety is one of my highest priorities. I carefully supervise introductions, monitor body language and stress signals, and use separate spaces, baby gates, and crates (when appropriate or requested) to ensure every pet has a positive experience. I believe thoughtful planning and honest communication create the best boarding experience for both pets and their owners. My husband Andrew and I work together to provide attentive care, which means there are two experienced adults available for walks, playtime, supervised introductions, potty breaks, medication administration, and lots of affection. I don't believe every dog is the right fit for every environment—and that's okay. My goal is to ensure every booking is the right fit so every pet can have the safest, happiest, and least stressful experience possible. Whether your pet is staying overnight, spending the day while you're exploring Southern Oregon, or simply needs a safe place to relax while you're out to dinner or attending an event, I strive to treat every guest like a member of our own family. Every pet has their own routine, and I do my best to maintain it while they're in my care. Whether your pet enjoys active play, leisurely walks, or simply lounging nearby, I tailor each day to their individual personality and energy level. I currently work part-time outside the home, but my schedule is intentionally arranged around pet care. Throughout the day, your pet will receive regular potty breaks, supervised playtime, enrichment, exercise, plenty of affection, and opportunities to rest. I also provide regular photo and message updates so you can enjoy your time away knowing your pet is doing well. Your pet's safety and comfort are my highest priorities. I provide care in a calm, home environment with a fully fenced backyard, baby gates for flexible separation when needed, and thoughtful introductions between dogs. I believe every pet deserves an environment that matches their personality. Some dogs enjoy having a playmate, while others are happiest relaxing on their own—and that's perfectly okay. Our resident pets include: • Benny, our friendly German Shepherd/Border Collie mix, who enjoys meeting new dogs but understands that not every guest wants to play. • Cricket, our tiny 6-pound Chihuahua mix, who generally prefers to quietly observe from a distance. Every once in a while he'll decide another dog is his new best friend—and if that happens, they've definitely won the lottery! Because every pet is different, I supervise interactions closely and adjust the environment to help everyone feel comfortable. My goal is never to force interactions, but to create a positive, low-stress experience for every guest. For first-time boarding and daycare guests—particularly larger dogs or adolescent puppies—I may recommend a Meet & Greet beforehand to ensure my home is the best fit for everyone.

About: Wide range of experiences. Grew up on a farm in Germany feeding cows, always have owned pets from cats, dogs, lizards, fish, rats etc. I’ve worked at dog training and boarding facilities called Sweet Doggies and CALIK9 in Sunnyvale, California for three+ years. At those facilities I cared/trained for up to 50+ dogs in an free range area. I’m usually the go to friend when people need their pets to be babysat because they’re going out of town, usually it’s older cats and dogs that need special care, health needs and attention. I love all animals in general and I’d care for your pet as if they were my own and my own are very very loved. I typically work Thursdays-Saturdays from 6p-3am. I also work at music festivals and will leave weeks at a time but as long I’m in town I’ll make it work! I currently do not take pets to my home since I have 2 cats and 1 dog of my own in an apartment. Any additional needs a client needs for their pets, I will be sure to take precautions!

About: I have done pet sitting for over 5 years which include boarding, housesitting and dog walking. I have also cared for cats, chickens, exotic birds and baby goats (bottle fed). I have cared for elderly pets, seizure pets and have no problem with giving medications. ****If you are requesting housesitting, I do have a small easy-going chill dog that likes to come with me if you are ok with that. He gets along with all dogs and cats alike. I do request that we have a meet and greet prior so as to ensure you are comfortable with me in your home and with your pets. I work remotely during the day. So I would be with your pet(s) for the majority of the day. They would only be left alone a few hours on occasion for errands/appointments and such. So they would get plenty of potty breaks, love and attention while you are away. I will care for you pet(s) per your instructions. While at my house they will be allowed on furniture and my bed for extra cuddle time. They will be given plenty of walks and playtime!

About: I was raised on a ranch with over 7 cats, 2 dogs and livestock. My mom was a huge animal lover and advocate who taught me from a very young age the importance of the respect and love we show the animals we care for. My love for animals grew and always took any opportunity I could to help rescue strays or help family and friends care for their pets. I've worked at a animal shelter and a dog boarding/daycare facility where our influx for dogs boarding has reached up to 150 for weeks. I'm experienced with almost all breeds and have a good understanding for different needs and behaviors. I'm also experienced in administering medicine and paying close attention to any animal that has special medical disorders/diagnosis. When working at the boarding facility we also offered grooming services so I can also provide nail trims, baths, teeth cleaning and brushing as an additional service to dogs that are comfortable with me doing so, I am willing to work with dogs who have anxiety as well. I'm also very experienced with cats and will have no problem with any needs they might have. My availability is currently completely open and eager to take in new clients. I'm still figuring out weekend schedules and will be updated as soon as available. I take pride in treating every animal I've encountered like one of my own and for drop in visits I'm comfortable providing whatever is apart of your fur-baby's daily routine. I want to keep them as relax and comfortable as they would be with their own family. I currently have 2 children of my own so I am very aware of the risks of not being aware of your household, all doors will always be double checked for being closed and locked as well as windows when leaving, and windows without screens will never be opened. They'll never leave my supervision if let outside, and before they are let out I always double check to make sure the gates are closed and there's not holes or any compromised spots in any of the fencing so they can't get out. All plugs and lights will be shut off when leaving the owner's house to prevent any in-home fires. And any special requests for diets and treats I'm happy to fullfil for them. If they need a crate or snuggled in their favorite blanket any special way to relax I'm always more then willing to do what makes them comfortable. For walks, I never let dogs approach another stranger or dog without consent from both parties I'm very keen on watching for animal behavior and will never put your animal in a situation where it will even be questionable. I'm willing to do small hikes for higher energy dogs but will always be in locations agreed by the owner. I'm currently able to walk dogs up to 65lbs, only exception for larger dogs is if they are very mellow dogs or trained and have no history of being reactive on walks.

We just met Anika. My dog is super shy with people when she first meets them, but not Anika. She definitely passed the vibe test for my dog Stella. I felt 100% comfortable having Anika come into my home and walk my dog. It is such a stress reliever knowing I can trust someone to help me care for Stella on a long work day. I definitely noticed on the days Anika walked Stella, Stella was way more chill when I got home from work . I appreciated Anika’s communication and her love for working with dogs is evident. She is not someone doing a side gig as a dog walker. She has years of experience and knowledge working with pets. I’m grateful we found her.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
