About: Pets have been a part of my life my whole life. I've owned everything from dogs, cats, rodents, fish, and ferrets. In high school I spent all my extra time volunteering at Kansas City Ferret Rescue. We even ran some of the shelter out of our house for a while. Currently I own 2 pit bulls and boy do I love my bully breeds. I have Marvel who is 11 and hes my gentle giant. We adopted his mother and had her her whole life and kept him from a litter of puppies she had. We've been together since birth. I also have Alice and she is getting ready to turn 5, we adopted her at 8 weeks old from a neighbor. She's super energetic. I have LOTS of training in taking care of puppies. I also own a 13 year old black Maine coon cat. I adopted him from wayside waifs when he was a tiny 8 week old kitten. My pets are very loved and yours will be also! We will have lots of fun playing with toys, going on walks and all the belly rubs. I am currently a stay at home mom so I have plenty of time to spend with your babies while your away. There will be no hurry in my visits. I currently walk my dogs everyday. They are fed twice a day, morning and evening. We also play ball and Frisbee in our backyard. I will try to keep your pets schedule as close as I can to their current schedule with you.
“Arabella was awesome! Our pets can be shy and they warmed right up to her. We asked her to do stop in visits a few times a day. Arabella's communication was great, giving updates on each animal when she stopped by. We would definitely have her take care of our pets again and definitely recommend her!”

“Our cat was very well taken care of during our time away. Grover gets testy when under stimulated but Katie kept him engaged with play toys and her personal touch. Would definitely use her again.”

About: Hi, I am Tricia and i have had dogs all my life. I love pets very much and have worked at local animal shelters. Working in animal welfare has graced me with all sorts of experience with all types of animal behaviors and personalities. I also have lots of animal medical experience. I have worked with animals with aggression, separation anxiety, seizures, deaf, shy and fearful and much more. I can also medicate animals in any way needed. I am experienced in giving shots and pilling animals. Basic training is something I like to work on with all animals as I believe it helps them not only build their confidence but also keeps their mind busy and wears them out! Please let me know if I can help you out! I am currently working from home meaning I can spend tons of time with your pups staying at my home! We also love to go get pup cups often! I have a fenced yard and dogs that also love other dogs. My house is centered around dogs with lots of comfy beds, toys and other fun stuff!
“Jennifer was FANTASTIC! Her care was top notch and I felt so secure leaving my kiddos with her. I genuinely think that one of my cats, Toast was disappointed to see us, and not Jennifer. She gave great updates and photos at every visit and we appreciated her so much! I will absolutely contact Jennifer again for care of our kitties.”

“It was great to be able to take a vacation and not worry about our beloved furball kitty. Tiffany was able to get a very timid Bella to let her pet and play with her, which is unusual. Tiffany also did a few other jobs for me which was so appreciated. I will definitely book her again for our next adventure...thanks Tiffany!!”

“Maddie was excellent! She was patient when I had last minute issues, and was very accommodating. She treated my kitties like they were her own! I came home to very content and well-cared for kitties. 10/10 recommend and would hire again!”

About: Lifelong Animal Lover with Advanced Care Experience I grew up surrounded by both dogs and cats, and my life has always revolved around animal companionship. I don't just love pets; I understand them deeply. Because I specialize in dog walking and drop-in visits (up to 3 times a day), my focus is entirely on providing structured, safe, and attentive care right in your pet's familiar environment. Expert Medical & Senior Pet Care I have extensive, hands-on experience managing complex care for pets of all life stages, including disabled senior animals. If your pet has specialized needs, they are in highly capable hands. I am fully confident and experienced with: Administering oral medications, pill hiding, and precise schedules. Managing advanced medical treatments, including injectables and subcutaneous (Sub-Q) fluids. Assisting pets with mobility aids, harnesses, and specialized diets. Managing senior pet hygiene, including diaper changes and cleanup. Understanding Behavioral Quirks & Big Personalities As a proud owner of two large bully breeds—one who manages severe anxiety and reactivity, and another a rescue recovering from past neglect—I understand that not every dog is a textbook "easy" walker. I am trained in patience, hyper-vigilant environmental awareness, and reading subtle animal body language to keep your reactive, fearful, or strong pup safe on walks. My home is also run by three incredible cats ranging from 3 to 10 years old (including an aloof kitty, a social butterfly, and a sweet disabled cat requiring extra patience). Having previously rehabilitated a rescue cat who became disabled with age, I know exactly how to respect a feline's boundaries while ensuring their needs are met. Whether your cat wants a high-energy play session, gentle grooming, or just a quiet human presence to keep them company, I adapt entirely to their mood. Because I work from home full-time, my schedule is highly flexible and reliable. I am available throughout the day to accommodate your pet's specific routine, offering dog walking and drop-in visits anywhere from 1 to 3 times a day. Here is how my lifestyle benefits you and your pet: Punctual & Consistent Timing: Since I am not tied to a rigid office commute, I can visit your pet at their preferred times for meals, medication, or potty breaks. Mid-Day Break Specialists: I am readily available for lunch-time walks to break up the day for high-energy dogs, puppies, or senior pets who cannot hold it for long. Rapid Emergency Response: Working locally from home means I am never far away. If your pet has a sudden change in schedule or an urgent need, I can adapt quickly. Your peace of mind is my top priority. I treat every animal with the same meticulous care, patience, and fierce love that I give to my own unique fur family. Here is what I bring to every walk or drop-in visit: Frequent Photo & Video Updates: My camera roll is already completely full of my own pets. You can expect detailed, visual updates during every single visit so you know your pet is thriving. Proactive Dog Safety: I bring hyper-vigilant environmental awareness, patience, and deep knowledge of subtle animal body language to every walk. This ensures your reactive, fearful, or strong pup stays completely safe. Customized Cat Care: I know exactly how to respect a feline's boundaries while ensuring their needs are met. Whether your cat wants a high-energy play session, gentle grooming, or just a quiet human presence, I adapt entirely to their mood.
About: Hello! I am a pet lover with years of experience in caring for pets young and old. I am based in downtown KC but have reliable transportation. If I am out of your range, message me anyway and we might be able to work something out :) In my life I have owned 1 dog of each size (small, medium, and large of course), two parakeets, a guinea pig, several goldfish, and a leopard gecko. I currently live downtown with my two kitties, Josie and Jade. I have several years of both catsitting and dogsitting experience with close friends and family members, and it has always been the most fun side job so I thought I'd give Rover a shot. I also have housesitting and plant care experience. I am a full time actor, so regularly I work from home and will spend certain full days on set, not usually consecutively & with minimum 1 week’s notice. Additionally, in June I have evening rehearsals on weeknights and weekend rehearsals 11a-5p here in town. I am communicative with clients & I like to send photos at client request. In situations of senior care or medication, I will always opt to message with a question rather than make an unsafe assumption. Additionally, I am a very clean person and prioritize leaving things how I found them.
About: I worked at a vet clinic for 2 years, walking, feeding, and watering the cats and dogs. My main task was to take care of and make sure the pets were comfortable. I have two large dogs of my own who are the craziest dogs ever, so I believe that I can take care of the craziest of pets. I am also an Animal Science major in college, so I have some knowledge on how to treat and take care of animals. Also, I have a passion for animals and will do anything to take care of them so they are happy. I believe that I am responsible and mature to be able to handle the most playful of pets. And one of my favorite past times is playing with my pets, so being able to play with any pet is something I strive to make fun. Pet care will fit in around my work schedule. I work everyday during the week until 4-5pm. I am available on most weekends and most weeknights if needed. I know the importance of taking care of someone's pet. They are your family member, like my dog is mine. Therefore, I will take care your pet to the best of standard.
About: I have had pet dogs my whole life. My husband and I currently have one large dog that loves being around other dogs. We are constantly at the dog park or going on walks and would love to take your fury friend with us! My husband has Sundays and Mondays off and I work split shift morning and evening during the week, meaning I can come home for walks and bathroom breaks throughout the day and am off on weekends. We live in an apartment that has a fenced in dog park and is right across from a nature trail. We go to the dog park and on walks everyday.

Jessica met with me a couple times for a meet and greet with my ATHENA before my trip. During my time away, she was AWESOME!!! She texted me pictures of my little girl and even took her on walks when she wasn’t required to! She was/is a very prompt, trustworthy, sweet and loving care taker! I would recommend her to ANYONE looking for care for their fur babies!!!!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
