About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. For medical emergencies, we are established at Westside Animal Hospital, The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park, and the Emergency Pet Center.

About: I have taken care of animals my entire life and have had many different pets from childhood into adulthood. I have been a trusted house and pet sitter for over 10 years. I live an active lifestyle and love to take runs/walks (your dogs can join me)! I work part-time from home, with a very flexible schedule, so I can make just about any time work for the care of your fur baby! I will be able to let your pet out as much as needed and will be sure to make them a priority! I live on Fort Carson with a fenced yard (with grass!!!!) and pet friendly home. The area is very walkable! I will ensure that your pet is in a safe environment. I like to stick to the animal's routine as much as possible, hang out with them, and make sure they get as much exercise as they need. I have one dog - a labradoodle who is fixed and very friendly - he would love to play with your dogs too!

I'm attentive to each dog's individual needs, whether that means specific feeding schedules, medications, mobility considerations, or just knowing how much play versus rest they like. Your dog will get consistent, personalized care, a safe environment, and plenty of attention while you're away — I treat every dog boarding with me like a member of the family. I'm a stay-at-home mom, so I'm home all day for belly scratches, potty breaks and walks. This means your dog will get LOTS of attention. I have a fenced yard and a very happy loving 4 year old Golden Retriever who is always happy to meet new friends and show them around. We do have three children so its important your dog be kid friendly (this also means 3x the belly scratches).
