Doggy Day Care Southeast Colorado Springs

About: Growing up we had parrots, cats, dogs, an entire aquarium and a farm! My family and kids absolutely love animals. We’re a very active family that enjoys outdoors and playing in our fenced yard! If you’re thinking of dog boarding / doggy day care in our home, here’s a couple important things to keep in mind. - We have two dogs and a fish that stay on our main level and upstairs area. Which is totally separated from the basement away from any animals I’m sitting as a caution and courtesy. - We CAN keep our dogs separated from your fur baby while they stay in our home to include separation in our fenced yard as we wouldn’t let them out at the same time to be extra careful. - Our basement is furnished so I would live downstairs with your fur baby while they’re here. - Our basement has a door with direct access to the backyard from downstairs. - My husband works from home full time downstairs, all day, so your furbaby would never be alone between the both of us. We’re able to accommodate most requests and can answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to reach out. I can’t wait to take care of your fur babies as if they were my own ❤️ I’m currently a stay at home mom so I can be flexible. I’m always free during my babies nap time from 1pm - 3pm and other times I would need to coordinate with my husband who works from home so not a big deal. We’re pretty flexible especially if you’re close by! About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. For medical emergencies, we are established at Westside Animal Hospital, The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park, and the Emergency Pet Center.
