With over 30 years of experience caring for pets since childhood, we’ve consistently cared for dogs of friends and family of all sizes, ages, and temperaments. I’m comfortable with feeding routines, and providing both active play and calm, structured care. Being home throughout the day allows me to give consistent attention and supervision, ensuring your pet feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I’m a stay-at-home mom with a flexible schedule, which allows me to provide consistent attention, care, and supervision throughout the day. Your dog won’t just be sitting around—we love keeping pets active and engaged! A typical day includes outdoor playtime, walks (for dogs who enjoy them), and mental stimulation through interactive toys and games. We also make sure there’s plenty of time to rest and relax so your dog feels comfortable and at home. We have a fully fenced yard with plenty of space for safe outdoor play and exercise. We also have a young, medium-sized dog who is very friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs. I prioritize safety at all times and carefully monitor interactions to ensure a calm and secure environment. I can also crate your dog if needed and am happy to follow your pet’s routine and preferences.

About: We nicknamed our home The Dachs Inn - a weenie wonderland! We’ve cared for Dachshunds for 15 years and specialize in meeting the unique needs of this breed, including dog ramps on our furniture and deck. Our home features a dog door with all-day access to a giant backyard for potty breaks, play time, sunbathing and squirrels!!! Plush dog beds are placed through the home and a giant sectional provides the perfect spot for cuddle time. Daily walks are provided, we even have a dog stroller for senior dogs or those dachshunds suffering from IVDD. I work remotely from home full time and, along with my retired husband, provide hourly drop-in care, play dates, overnight and extended boarding in our home. Additionally, I provide home visits and walking services to families located on the west side of Colorado Springs. Other locations throughout Colorado are considered on case-by-case request for extended care in your home (5 or more days). I have three dachshunds, ages 15, 10, and under 1 year. My dog-friendly home has a fenced back yard, we feed all visiting dogs separately, and can provide daily pictures of your baby’s activities. I can also provide regular weigh-ins, medications, and teeth brushing. I am very active and love going on long walks/hikes (up to three miles) upon request. While I prefer to host only smaller dogs in our home, I am open to all breeds for care at your home - including drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. I kindly ask that all dogs are current on all vaccinations, including kennel cough. For medical emergencies, we are established at Westside Animal Hospital, The Animal Clinic of Woodland Park, and the Emergency Pet Center.
