30+ years experience raising dogs. I specialize in smaller FEMALE dogs - most of my boarders are under 10 pounds and all are under 15 pounds. I own an 9lb Maltese/Toy Poodle mix. In the past I have owned several small dogs including a tiny 3.5lb Yorkshire Terrier so I know what extra care is required for small dogs. I work from home so I can give extra attention and lots of short walks - we have 2 private short hiking path loops in our backyard. In addition to the natural wooded areas with trails we also have a large flat grassy area for play or business and a secure deck for play or sunbathing. I'm good with giving medication as needed. I provide owners with daily updates and photos of their dogs walking, playing and enjoying their time here. I'm flexible about your drop off/pick up schedule since I work from home and have a fairly flexible schedule. I'm available for meet and greets because I want you to come check out my place to see if it will work for your dog. I'm happy to answer any questions you have because I know how important it is for you to feel comfortable about who you trust to care for your dog. We can't imagine finding a better sitter! We appreciate that she specializes in small dogs and was available for a meet and greet prior to Sassy's stay. We loved the fenced in deck for taking naps and playing outside, and the trails behind her house for walks. Sassy was anxious when we first dropped her off but Lorraine was able to make her feel comfortable after just a short while. She kept us informed with texts and pictures throughout the day and when we saw Sassy having fun on the walks and relaxing on the deck we were confident we had found the right sitter.
Lorraine is fantastic. Our Chloe just loved her, her dogs and the trails just outside the house and the outdoor deck. We are going to use her exclusively.

Lorraine was awesome! This was our dog Bella's 2nd stay along with my Mom's dog 1st stay. Bella couldn't get into the house fast enough, she was so excited! We felt so comfortable leaving both dogs with Lorraine for an extended stay of 10 days. Lorraine sent updates and pictures every day of the dogs hanging out on the deck and going for multiple walks per day. Thank you!
This was our dog Bella’s 1st overnight stay with Lorraine. She was safe, well cared for and had fun with her dog, Sasha. Lorraine sent us lots of updates and pictures, which we loved! She is responsive, responsible and professional. Bella had a great time at her house!

Schedule
I have plenty of time to care for your pets. I work from home and have flexibility with my work so I can easily stop for walks, feeding, etc.

Safety, trust & environment
I walk pets outside on harness and leash. If the owner doesn't provide a harness I have several extra that I use with their dog for safety. The upstairs front porch is gated and locked for their protection.
Pets
A typical day
Depends on the dog and what they like to do at home - I make their stay with me as much like home as possible by following their normal routine for feeding, exercise and play. I do like to offer frequent walks along the short hiking trails in my backyard and playtime on the grassy yard. Some dogs enjoy sun tanning on the large 2nd story front porch which is fenced and locked for their protection.
