My dog is large and somewhat high energy and needs many miles of walks and Dennis did a wonderful job making sure that he got all of the mental and physical stimulation he needed. I got lots of picture updates, and felt very relaxed while leaving my dog while I was on vacation. Dennis also took great care of my home and was super responsive whenever I had questions. We did one meeting before I booked Dennis for the weekend, and then I booked him for one dog walk session before the Dog Sitting time because he was going to arrive after I had left. He was super open to everything and he reviewed my dog care instructions before I left. I felt like we had really clear really good communication. I’ve used several Rover pet sitters and Dennis is by far the best one that I’ve booked. I cannot recommend him enough! (unless you want him on the same weekend that I do and then I would still recommend him but I call dibs!)”

Not only did he take care of our pup, but he also helped take care of our home while we were gone (4 nights!) by watering our garden, bringing packages insides, and even taking out the trash cans on trash day. I’ve grown up with a Doberman, Dachschund, Shih Tzu and currently stay with my baby German Shepherd, Teddy. I’m from the Philippines, where I’ve worked to rescue street dogs and ensure a shelter where they’re properly fed. When I’m in, I read, watch a movie, work on my cameras or paintings. When I’m out, I love to hike, run, or simply mindfully walk - and there’s no harm doing all of that with a buddy.

Chris watched Jojo for 7 nights while I was on an international hiking trip with intermittent service. Navaeh was amazing with Franklin! She was very responsive and made sure I got daily updates and photos of him. She was super sweet and Franklin loved his time with her. Issel has watched my dog and 2 cats twice now. She is very responsive and takes great care of them. I leave a bunch of directions about their feeding, etc. She sends me pics of them which i appreciate as I miss them.Everyone looks happy when I get home. The house is just as I left it when I return. Alix was so communicative and reliable! Even when I was dealing with flight delays and difficulties scheduling my trip, I felt safe leaving my dog Sam with her. And Sam clearly loves Alix! My dog escaped out my door to try and greet Alix when she returned my keys.
We are very happy to have found Lisette to housesit and take care of our new dog, Pony. This was our first trip away after adopting a dog with separation anxiety and some leash reactivity, so we were a bit nervous. Lisette came over for a meet-and-greet and was very calm and comfortable with Pony. On the day of our departure she came over right on time and jumped in with Pony, feeding him and taking him on a walk. She sent pictures twice a day and reassured us that things were going well. She also took great care of our apartment and left it very neat and tidy. We hope we can have her stay again next time.
Yena did such a wonderful job watching our dog Chester while we were away for a long weekend. She was very communicative and made sure to share updates (and photos!) with us throughout the weekend. She even watered our plants all three days and left us some precious instax photos of Chester! We look forward to hiring her again- she’s very responsible and Chester clearly loved her!
Jessica is such a delight and was an amazing cat sitter when our original sitter had to cancel very last-minute. She was incredibly patient as we walked her through every little detail of our spoiled cat’s life, asked great questions, and of course/most importantly, took amazing care of our cat while we were away. Lulu is a domesticated street cat - she’s indoor/outdoor and prefers outdoor when we’re not around. Jessica managed to get her inside at night, sent lots of updates, and put up with her meowing. We absolutely recommend Diana as a sitter and would have her again. From our initial meeting to the moment we returned home, we had good communication and quick/easy resolution of any questions. Our senior dog, Diesel, took to her immediately and was in good spirits when we returned home. The photo and video updates and detailed messages were a wonderful touch. We could see Diesel was not just being cared for, but truly loved and enjoyed. Our sitter maintained his routine, including adjusting to his slow pace and chill time in the yard. Coming home to a spotless house was the cherry on top. Plants were thriving, mail was neatly organized, and it was clear our home had been treated with the utmost respect and care.
