“Jeremy’s wife Diana came to sit our 5 month old puppy Henry while we were out for a long day. She has such great energy and he took to her right away. She kept him happy and active, even on a doggy play date. He definitely got all of his energy out and it was nice to know he was in good hands while we were out. We’ll definitely book again!”

“Toni stayed at our house with our two dogs and two cats for a week. She took great care of them and the house. We got a ton of snow and the power went out. Toni was a great communicator and kept us updated. Lots of pictures!”

About: I have been a dog owner for more than 18 years and I've been around cats and dogs my whole life. My partner and I, along with our 4-year-old Pyrenees mix, provide a safe, loving space with tons of room to run, and heaps of belly rubs. I'm currently working part time as a property manager on a 50 acre estate. My partner works from home. So one or both of us is around. We both take our dog for a long hike/bike/one wheel ride every evening that we would love to take your buddy with us. If I have take your dog to work I have a Tacoma with a camper shell that I bring Stevie in. It's safe and lockable so you can be assured that your fur baby is safe. We live in a single family home with two floors outside the Meyers roundabout. We allow dogs on couches, beds and have indoor and outdoor dog beds. We are a block away from miles of trails down to the Truckee river. Also I love running my dog Stevie with my one wheel around paradise park. Which is around 4 miles round trip. So if your dog needs lots of running and is safe on or off leash Ive got the toy for them. When not walking or riding we have a large fenced backyard (especially for Tahoe). So they won't be couped up inside. Please let us know what your best friend needs and we'll do our best to accommodate.

About: I’m a daily runner looking for an exercise buddy. While I don’t have any pets of my own, I’m a huge dog lover looking to get outside with a furry friend and an excuse to go to the dog park. Let me give your dog some walks and scratches! I work full-time remote as a software developer from my home in South Lake Tahoe, so my schedule is very flexible. I can take your dog on regular walks at a time that suits you! There are many nice walking trails in the area, perfect for getting a dog outside. After one hour with me, your dog will be well-exercised and socialized!

“Mckenna is FANTASTIC!!! This was the first time we were leaving our little kitty for so long, (over two weeks) and I was nervous! But Mckenna set all my concerns at ease. She sent daily photos and videos, watered my plants, and left the house in perfect condition. FIVE STARS!!! I highly recommended Mckenna for all your pet sitting needs!”

“This was the first time for Alena to take care of Booker and everything went very well. We initially had Alena over for a meet and greet and upon her return a few days later Booker was very happy to see her. Alena even took Booker for a walk which he always enjoys. Alena followed our instructions and communicated when we inquired. We are just visiting Lake Tahoe for the summer and needed a sitter for our 100lb Bernese Mountain dog and Alena did a fantastic job. Looking forward to using her when needed.”

“Lisa was great with our dogs!!! We received pictures of them on walks and at home while we were away. She even stripped the bed and washed and dried her linens, just in time for our house guests. Our neighbors wanted to get her number too. They saw her walking the dogs daily and said that she was really great with them. We will definitely call on her again!”

“Kristen is a wonderful pet sitter! My dogs loved her and her fur baby Peanut. Even my cat came out to visit alot! She was very respectful of my home and I came back from vacation to a clean house. Will book her again!!”

“Alexandra was wonderful! She watched our two big Samoyeds in our hotel room while we were visiting Lake Tahoe, so we could go out in the evening. She fed them and took them for a walk, both dogs were happy and well cared for. She was punctual, flexible, and great with communication. Highly recommended and would use her again.”

“Laura is the absolute best! She watched my Pyrenees and mini Australian Shepherd's and they truly loved her so much. They went on lots of walks and received so much love and attention. So incredibly grateful to have found her. Highly recommend that you book with her! ❤️”

“Angelique and her boyfriend Pete were excellent! I needed help with my sweet little kitty who does not like to be alone for a last minute trip out of town, and Angelique and Pete made me feel super comfortable, sent lots of snuggle photos, and took care of my house and my little lady perfectly! Looking forward to continuing my relationship with them for future house/pet sitting needs! Would highly recommend this duo to any pet owner.”

About: Dogs are better than humans and the more we aspire to be like them the better the world gets. I love dogs and have always been an active member of my local humane society and have volunteered with non profits in several 3rd world countries for animal welfare. I am active and move around often so have not been able to have my own fur baby yet so I would be so grateful and honoured to be the best ‘ fun aunt’ to yours. I enjoy time outside as much as a dog does so I’ll be able to return your pup well exercised and ready to relax after a good hike and some fresh air and belly rubs. I work in restaurants so am free every day until 3 and finish around 10pm. I would be able to take your dog out for regular runs or walks as well as house sitting in the safety and comfort of their own home. I live in a studio apartment with great access to trails and an unfenced yard. Dog sitting at my house would be totally possible for the right dog that would be comfortable with a smaller space.

“Krystina was the best and we will definitely be using her again!!! She stayed at our place with our boys and the house was spotless when we returned. She even washed the sheets and remade the bed! She followed all of our instructions to the T! It was obvious she really cared. We highly recommend Krystina!”

“Dillian is the perfect dog sitter. She communicates clearly, is professional, responsible, and caring. This was the first time my husband and I decided to try using Rover and so thankful we found Dillian to stay with our dog.”

“We couldn't recommend Andrew more—he was truly an angel for our fur family! This was our first time using a pet sitter so I was super nervous, but Andrew instantly put us at ease; He gave our two pups and kitty amazing, personalized care, daily walks, treats on schedule, and sweet updates with photos that made us smile every day! Thanks to Andrew, we could fully enjoy our trip knowing our babies were in the best hands. Thank you so much, Andrew—Beau, Gus & Summer adore you and hope to see you again soon!!!”

About: I have been caring for pets since I was 8 years old. From then to now I have done overnights, dog walks, and even potty breaks. Friends, family, and neighbors have relied on me to keep their pets company, take them on walks/get them outside, feed them on a consistent schedule, be available for potty breaks, stay over night, and bathe when needed. I love being a helping hand just as much as I love the furry companions! I just got back from a long trip away and I am not working. Allowing me full time to take care of and attend to your pets. I will follow any and all instructions given on how to care for your pets. For example, having them in leash when letting them into the backyard, putting them in the crate when needed, keeping food high out of reach, etc.

“Samantha was a wonderful house and pet sitter for our pup. She kept in contact, sent pictures from their walks, and left our house cleaner than we left it. We will absolutely look to have Samantha help is again in the future.”

About: With a passion for animals and a special affinity for dogs of all shapes and sizes, I bring a wealth of experience and dedication to my Rover services. As a 29-year-old caregiver, I've recently returned to Rover with an expanded repertoire and a deeper understanding of pet care. My recent engagements include the attentive care of a 5-year-old Husky and a delightful Husky-Golden Retriever mix, and an 8-year-old German Shepard adding to my expertise in handling diverse breeds. While I currently don't have pets at my home, my upbringing surrounded by two beloved black Labs and ongoing care for my family's Black Lab and Bernese Mountain Dog have honed my understanding of canine behavior and needs. From pint-sized pups brimming with confidence to gentle giants convinced they're lap dogs, I cherish and cater to each dog's unique personality. I wholeheartedly recognize that these furry companions are cherished family members, and I prioritize their safety and well-being above all else. Rest assured, I am committed to providing the utmost care, ensuring a secure and attentive environment for your cherished furry loved ones. I currently am self-employed so my schedule is very flexible. I am looking for house sitting gigs and can also do drop ins or day gigs. I am a very cautious pet sitter as I meet and learn your pets behavior. I tend to be that "helicopter parent" when it comes to new pets until I learn their behavior. At the end of the day though my goal is to love the pet as much as possible and enjoy our time together.
